Oh my...Let's all agree that Cathe rocks it!
Sorry you're experiencing what you're experiencing Tracey!! I know how some of the folks here can be - the slightest suggestion of anything "negative" (which you did NOT do, btw) instantly brings out the claws in some! I for one, did notice in X-train a change in Cathe's midsection. I don't know if it was her body, her clothes, the mic pack or what, but frankly, I found it inspiring!! The woman is 49 (as am I) - I found it great to see that hey, at this point in life, even her body changes, which helps me a little as I struggle with the changes my body is experiencing (and I mean struggle!). It makes me feel good to know there are a few things you can't change - notice she doesn't wear crop tops anymore.
I don't think it means your being critical at all - just making an observation. As another poster stated - that's why we're all here in the first place. The STS and Gym Styles programs created one version of Cathe's body and other workouts created another. I look to those changes to gauge my own progress, even though my body type is nothing like Cathe's. (I'm 5'8" - so I can't jump for example!). Rather than get down on myself (which I do more than enough and occassionally can get reinforced on these forums), I look at Cathe and say "hey, look at how her body changes too." Some people only are here to worship and will attack anyone who does not do the same! I for one am here to observe and to learn.
I would just like to say that I feel vindicated by Cathe's post today about the Nourishing Gurus. I KNEW SOMETHING WAS DIFFERENT. And I knew she looked different. I mean really, what is the purpose of working out and taking care of oneself if we are going to say it does not matter what one looks like. It is not everything, obviously, but I do not work out and eat right without a care as to whether I look good or not.
You know I almost quit this forum because of a few lousy mean haters out there over this thread! By her own words...she is different! She looks great and DIFFERENT AND BETTER...SO THERE! Especially aimed at maddiesmum. With a special thanks to Nathalie from England for being gracious and a friend.
Tracy I'm glad you didn't quit the forum. I also got beat up on pretty bad a couple of years ago when I stated that fructose is poison. I posted an academic video of a professor lecturing on the topic. I'm pretty sure the venomous commentators never watched the video.
To paraphrase your original post, "she looked great before but now that she's lost that little bit of belly fat she looks terrific". Do you really not see what's wrong with that kind of statement?
Please don't label me a hater, I just have a different point of view.
Tracy I'm glad you didn't quit the forum. I also got beat up on pretty bad a couple of years ago when I stated that fructose is poison. I posted an academic video of a professor lecturing on the topic. I'm pretty sure the venomous commentators never watched the video. I didn't feel vindicated when more and more science backed up the facts regarding fructose's effect on the liver; rather, I felt sad that I had been attacked.
Hi Everyone,
Sorry Tracy I am going to highjack your thread.
It has turned too heated so let's deflect and discuss about the ability to jump for tall "gals"
As it has been quoted above, 5.8 therefore can not jump.
This has been brought up numerously.
Similarly, apparently, long limb can not push up at the same speed as cathe.
Now Really can anyone come up with something knowledgeable to settle these allegations once and for all.
BTW, I am 5.7 and have no issue with regards to my current ability to jump or to keep up with the speed.
I am an observant folk who always strive for improvement when I am not be happy with my ability to perform daily tasks.
Peace everyone
