Cardio Question

Good evening!

Today I started my first STS rotation!!!!!!!!!!! :eek:

I have a question regarding the cardio workouts we can use during STS.

Can the newest dvd's be used as cardio? I just love them ;)

I was wondering the same....are metabolic w/o's ok to do during STS, or would that be too much weight work?
 
You are good to go with TTM & CF as your cardio of choice w/STS:D. The only problem you may have, is if you are in severe DOMS mode and your legs give out :eek:. If you are too sore, perhaps use a steady state cardio until you recover a bit OR if it's your upper body that's in DOMS mode, then use very light weights or no weights for any segments where Cathe uses weights. Remember, you want your muscles to recover and grow. JMHO!

I'm in Meso 1 of STS myself and what I've learned so far is to plan a day OFF after legs...LOL!

Holy smokes the DOMS are serious business!

I also get a good cardio factor on leg days so there's that.

I'd say, do any cardio you feel like, but I personally wouldn't max out the effort. I'd work hard, for sure, but keep the focus on the strength work. JMHO.
 
Serious DOMS throughout STS

I wonder how cathletes manage to slot an extra leg day (squat rack + plyo option) within a week during Meso 3 - Strength. I am intending to do the same as I need major, immediate improvements on my legs? I am also planning to the pyramid rotation straight after (with a week recovery), my first STS attempt.

Any advise on that would be much appreciated.

I used Plyo Legs as one of my cardio workouts during STS M3. I did Chest/Back; Cardio (like Afterburn); Squat Rack Legs; Cardio (like Slide & Glide); Shoulders/Biceps/Triceps; Plyo Legs. Each cardio day I would do a workout from Ab Circuits. Good luck with your rotation and enjoy STS!!! It's AWESOME!!!!:eek:
 
diferent every month

I'm doing 6 1/2 STS rotation but mon-legs, tues-biceps,chest,shoulders, wed-cardio kicks or kick punch and crunch, thur-back,triceps, fri-legs, sat if I can sun off.
