Calling all 60 year old and older Cathletes

I posted this in the Low Max thread where this was asked - copying to here (seems like a better fit for the question :) )

Welcome back!

If you're starting from ground zero, I'd recommend the following progression: (This is also assuming you've got your doctor's clearance)
  1. Lift, Move, and Restore series
  2. Lift, Move, and Restore Elevated series
  3. LITE series
  4. ICE series
  5. XTrain series
I'd follow her simple one- or two-month rotations in each of the Users Guides (see link), depending on how quickly your body is adapting to the increased activity. When you get to ICE, you may want to start layering on intensity with her more challenging rotations that include the Blizzard Blasts, but don't do that until you've first done the workouts without the Blizzard Blasts (the "Level One" and "Level Two" rotations).

If you're wanting to start back into heavier weight work, you can also start incorporating STS 2.0 perhaps as soon as finishing up LITE.

This isn't a specific recommended approach, just how I'd handle it if I were in a similar situation. :)

Hope this helps!

Good recommendations!
@sheffield - Since you've been a Cathlete for a long time with a recent break, I think after you've done 4-6 months of LMR/LMRE/LITE/ICE, you could also add in workouts from older series like BodyBlast and HardCore too if you have some favorites from those. After a solid 6 months, you could start up the original STS too since you've done it a number of times in the past if it's a favorite (I'd probably do Xtrain just because it's a favorite of mine). I think 6 months of building with LMR/LMRE/LITE/ICE will prepare you for being comfortable with the more advanced series, making modifications as needed of course. Since you have On-Demand, I find many of the LIVEs are about an Intermediate Level (not all of course) so you could sub those in too in Cathe's rotations. But I think following Cathe's planned rotations will be important so you have a systematic way back.
