Bringing up the Rear Check-In

I forgot to let you know on Tuesday that I had an all-day meeting on Wednesday and would not be able to post. Tuesday night I did a Get Glutes strength workout. Wednesday night I got home about 45 minutes late so I did Cycle Max Express. Which bench did you get, the flat or the 45? So exciting, I hope you can do it too. That is great that you did a few triceps exercises. I am like you, if it doesn't hurt, I would probably do it even if my doctor didn't like it. Exercise is my happy pill!
 
Last night I did a Get Glutes strength workout. Hoping today goes by fast. I have an 8 hour day and 5 of them are for meetings. Joy! So happy it is the weekend though. Ready to get my weekend relax on. That is a good idea to skip your walk to let your knee rest. I think you will like the 45 degree better than the flat. You will probably feel the 45 more in your glutes and less in your back than the flat bench. Love Kohls and kohls cash!
 
Saturday morning I did Supercuts and then ran errands and visited my parents awhile. Sunday was Get Glutes strength and then being lazy and eating way too much! I know I feel this way every Monday but I can’t believe it is Monday already. I am excited about the downloads being available. I spent most of Saturday night and all day Sunday downloading the workouts. I wanted to start previewing them but didn’t get a chance. Maybe this weekend. I think that is a good idea to wait to put the bench together. If it were me, I would be tempted to use it if it were put together.
 
I had to switch up my workouts this week. Tonight was supposed to be Get Glutes strength but I am working late and didn’t want to be too tired for it so I did it last night. I got everything downloaded but haven’t previewed them yet. I am hoping to get to preview some of them before this weekend but we will see. I still need to do holiday shopping and cards. It is all happening way too fast! Hoping for good news for you today!
 
Last night I did a premix from Rockout Knockout after getting home an hour later than normal. I did come home to a nice surprise with my RWH DVDs waiting for me. Hopefully that change in were she injected the last shot does the trick. It does sound like you should probably stick to walking for another month. Weird about the Charlie Horse but glad it didn't last long. Panera sounds yummy for lunch. That is crazy weather. Glad you stayed safe.
 
Last night I did Ride but I skipped the song with the hover jumps. I am just not a fan of those, they never have felt right to me. I really didn’t want to work out Tuesday night when I got home so late but I convinced myself since it was only 30 minutes or so. Glad you were able to get your walk in.
 
Last night I did a Get Glutes strength workout. That's weird, I feel hovers in my lower back and not in a good way. Yea! Glad you got your wrapping done. I am hoping to get a few Christmas gifts this weekend and do my cards. For some reason, I am just having a hard time getting into the holidays this year. Glad you got your walk in. Doing it first is best. Then it doesn't way on your mind during the day or not get done because you get too busy or tired. I used to workout before going to work but getting up at 3:30 just isn't happening anymore.
 
Saturday morning I did CrossFire Extreme. I started out just CF but then thought I would tack on the Low Impact Tabata and then thought why not add on the core too. Then we ran some errands and visited my parents awhile. Sunday was Get Glutes strength. I am not sure how it happened but I pulled my right lat muscle so now I need to be careful and let that heal. After working out, I did Christmas cards and watched some of the RWH. I only got to watch 3 of them because my downloads were not working. I had to redownload the rest and will try to watch them another time. We don't have a Christmas tree. We used to but it got ruined in a flood we had about 6 years ago. Never replaced it. DH wants to get one again we just never have.
 
Last night I did Hardstrikes cardio only. I had to be a little careful not to get too aggressive with some of the punches and hurt my lat more. Seemed to be ok. Tonight’s supposed to be weights so we will see how that goes.

Last night I did a Get Glutes strength workout. I wasn’t as careful last night and strained my lat some more during the Romanian deadlifts. It is weird though because I can do pullups (assisted anyway) and it doesn’t bother my lat but must be something with the dl causing the issue. Oh no what do you think did it during the yoga? Maybe overstreching or a certain position. I have Travi's Foundations too but have only done it a few times. I just can't seem to convince myself that doing yoga is worth it even though I know better. I am so smart and dumb at the same time sometimes

Last night I did Pedal Power Timesaver (can’t remember which one). I don’t mind the hover jumps in PP and the only thing I can think is that she moves her hand position from 2 to 3 during them which is nicer on my back. Gotta remember that for CM and Ride. I really try to listen to my body but sometimes I think I am just being a baby and to push through. I am really working towards stopping a movement as soon as I feel pain and doing something different. Soooo hard though. And sometimes I don’t know what will cause pain until I try it and then it is too late. So far I know heavy deadlifts are out of the question right now. I did see he was having a sale and thought of you but I know you can’t do it right now. Maybe he will have another one towards summer and you will be all healed up by then. So sorry that you are in such pain.
 
Last night I did Get Glutes strength workout. I was able to do all the exercises without pain in my lat muscle. I am starting to wonder though if it is not my lat but a different muscle. I did 1-arm rows with no problem but I know that it is still touchy because I have to be careful how I flip over at night in bed. Weird. Anyway, leaving work early today to get my Christmas shopping done (finally). We have 1 party to go to tonight so I have to get those presents for sure. The other one is Sunday and I have to use Saturday to do my normal errands, chores, plus make desserts for Sunday. Have a great day!
 
Friday night, we went to DH’s family for their Christmas get together. Saturday morning I did Afterburn Double Trouble, ran errands and then came home to do chores and make desserts for my family get together. Sunday morning I did a Get Glutes strength workout and then ate way too much at my family get together. Looking forward to my salad tonight to hopefully detox from the sugar overload yesterday. I am still not sure if it is my lat or maybe rhomboid that I pulled but it seems to be doing better by avoiding deadlifts and bent over moves with the barbell. How's your knee and back doing?

Last night I did Intensity. Had to take a break in the middle of the step segment and before the hiit segment but I made it through. Woke up this morning with a slightly scratchy throat. I am going to be bummed if I get sick. I am off work next week so I better not be sick then. Nothing worse than being sick on your vacation. I was sick on my vacation last winter so I don't want to repeat that. That does sound like a neat book. Hopefully you find it. I am weird in that I love those kind of anatomy type books. I think that you have a good plan going on to rest mentally and physically the next few weeks. The holiday events and your kids will provide a good distraction.

Last night I was feeling any better or any worse so I decided to do a lightened up Get Glutes strength. That was a big step for me considering I usually am like a train with nothing stopping me to do my workouts as planned. I didn’t get the best sleep last night because of my throat but at least tomorrow is a day off work with no plans but to stay home. Oh no, that sounds horrible. I hope your DS gets better soon and doesn’t pass it along to anyone else. Happy birthday to him too!

Wednesday night I took off from working out hoping to get over my cold. I didn’t feel too bad Thursday morning so I did my favorite Get Glutes strength workout as a present to myself. Then it was a relaxing day for DH and I with the dogs. This morning though, I woke up and feel my cold even more. Last day of work though until January 5th.

Been MIA for a long time but I am back now. I took all of last week off work and stayed at my mom’s dog sitting for her while she was out of town. I ended up getting a full blown respiratory cold/flu (not sure which). I still have congestion and a cough but I am ready to get back to working out. I didn’t get to work out at my mom’s so it has been more than a week doing nothing but laying around and eating junk. I had to get my fat pants out to go to work today. I would love to start the January rotation Cathe posted but I am getting home late tonight so I may have to modify this first week. Plus we will see if I can breathe enough to get through some of the new DVDs. I hope you didn't end up getting sick. I tell you this has been horrible and seemingly never ending.
 
Last night I did Plyo HiiT 1 plus X10 Cardio Blast. I don’t know if I am out of shape from taking a week off and/or maybe from being sick but I was spent after that and so red in the face I could have made a tomato look pale. I had to pause and take extra breaks quite often but at least I did it. I surprised myself and could actually (semi) do the 1-arm burpees. Granted they were not as pretty as Cathe’s but I didn’t fall on my face or break anything. Sounds like you got a good workout in. I think you did great doing just the chest and shoulders. Those are the toughest and still work your triceps with alot of the moves. Hope you can move your arms today and that your back is doing good.

So I guess I am not really following the January rotation since last night was supposed to be Rockout Knockout and I didn’t feel like doing that one. I did RWH Upper Body Circuit instead. It was fun, kept moving and went by fast. It is very shoulder intensive and the mixture of lower body with upper body moves and cardio blasts keeps the heart rate up there. It is so cold this morning my poor Ozzie almost had to be carried in this morning. We have about 4-5” of snow and the wind chill was -20 this morning and I think his paws got frozen.
 
Work Friday was crazy hence the missing post. I did LIHI Legs Thursday night. It wasn't what I was expecting but good. I think when she compared it to ploy legs, I expected the rep range to be 10-12 so when she started with 24 squats I was like "what?" I also had to pause a few times. I can tell it will be a favorite now that I am prepared for the higher reps mentally. This morning I did Cycle Max then spent the day at the vet, running errands, doing a few chores. Found out at the vet Ozzie has bladder stones and a bladder infection. He has to be on antibiotics and special food that costs a fortune for the next month. He also has a bump they want to remove on Thursday so he gets to have surgery that day. He was quite the expensive little guy today. Good thing he has an adorable face.
