Does anyone have any suggestions for a good bra for small mature breasts that are geographically challenged?? Between wt loss and age, this is ridiculous. With most bras, my breasts just puddle up at the bottom of the cup leaving a big gap at the top and/or flow out the side. Its like, with padded bra I need the padding to be on top and the bottom. Are there any specialty lines for this? Thanks, Jody
 
Since your bra is gapping, you are most likely not wearing the right size. Sounds like your bra size has changed thanks to your weight loss. Same thing happened to me when I lost some weight. (Of course, you lose it where you want to keep it!) I recommend going to Victoria's Secret and getting fitted. They are having their semi-annual sale right now, so it's a good time to buy. I really like the Body by Victoria line. My favorite is the shaping demi bra (24.99); it also comes in a padded version (29.50) that is supposed to add a cup size. Another bra in this line is the uplift (24.99) that might work well for you.

I have the very same problem. I was small-chested before kids, and now I'm even smaller (and lower!). Many size A bras (and swimsuit tops) have plenty of "empty" space at the top of the cup. If you do try Victoria's Secret (which generally don't work for me b/c even the A is too roomy at the top), you might try on their IPEX wireless. It works OK for me, because even though I don't fill out the top part of the cup, the cup is molded enough where it still looks O.K. But I'm still on the lookout for something much better.
 
I don't know about Victoria Secret because I don't shop there, but I definitely recommend that you schedule a fitting. It makes all the difference in the world. I just had my first fitting a couple of months ago and I couldn't believe the difference it made. I'd been wearing the wrong size and style! I was fitted at a dept store.

Forgive me for being amused, but your description is so wonderfully descriptive. :7 You obviously have a way with words and a great sense of humor. :7

I'm not laughing at your problem though. You're not alone. Many of us have the "mature and geographically challenged" issue. I completely agree with Cathy who said you need to be fitted. Once you find a bra which is the right size and shape, you'll look great. ;) So, go shopping! And let us know how you do.

ETA: I see Michele was posting at the same time I was. I agree that a department store is the perfect place to go. (Hi Michele!!)

I am right there with you ladies. I'm smaller after 4 kids and they point straight to the ground like bullets. I have been fitted at the department store and Victoria's Secret without much luck in finding the right fit. The IPEX Full Coverage underwire is the only bra that works (kind of) for me. It's not a perfect fit but is molded enough like the wireless to make the gap unnoticeable under clothing. Good luck!
 
How funny! I was just thinking about posting the same question. After nursing 3 kids, my boobs aren't anywhere near what (or where) they used to be:( I need to get re-fitted but I think the one bra I have been wearing doesn't fit properly enough to get an accurate measurement. Grrr...

By the way, Jody, you are smokin' in your avatar!! How'd you get those fab abs?

Try going petite. I'm now wearing the Calvin Klein petite size A t-shirt bra, and absolutely love it. I also have a petite Wacoal that looks great, too. (I used to just wear the stretchy little bralettes, until my DDs shamed me to death about it.)
 
I love VS. Even though their bras may be more expensive, I won't buy any others...simply becuase I find I waste too much time trying on bras. My favorite lines of theirs is Angels ipex and Angels secret embrace. The secret embrace is fenomenol...you absolutely can not see it even under fitted tshirts. HTH
 
You know what? I had good luck with training bras. I like it better --it fits well for somebody not-even-an-A. Nowadays you can find underwire, demi or padded training bras...

I agree with the previous poster...I was just getting ready to post about your progression through the years and what an inspiration your transformation is!!! Absolutely amazing!

We have a place in Atlanta called "Intimacy" (Oprah featured it on a show) and fitting is their specialty. When I went, I not only realized I was wearing the wrong bra size but the wrong kind of bra! Getting fitted properly has made all the difference in the world. Make sure to go to a higher end department store where there will be people who know what they are doing and aren't just store clerks. Even if you don't buy all your bras there, you will be fitted properly and hopefully know your true size.

I just want to congratulate you on your succcessful weight loss. You look absolutely terriffic. I bet you feel fabulous too! Loss of breast fat seems inevitable considering your weight loss journey, I hope you don't regret it. I am also small and droopy, as you describe, and have found the Angels line at Victoria's secret to do a fine line of bras to suit me, in a modest 34A. I have been larger and smaller with weight losses and gains, just like you, and overall, I would rather be strong, lean and healthy with smaller breasts!

I agree with the other posters. You really need to be professionally fitted. We have a shopcalled Bare Necessities in CT and I think they are a chain. They will measure you and find the right bra to fit. They know which brands may fit a certain person better etc. I take my teenage daughter there too.

I've was thinking of posting this same question, but hadn't gotten up the nerve. But I have the same problem after breastfeeding to kids. They just puddle at the bottoms with a big ole empty space.

The best fit I have found so far is by Playtex Thank Goodness it Fits that come in half sizes.( I am a NA -Nearly an A:-( ).

Thank you all so much for the awesome responses! I am just now getting a turn on my computer in order to reply.

OK, so I went back to VS to return the bras I bought yesterday because what looked FAB at the store turned out to not be so great after wearing them for 30 min or so. The oozing out the side and puddling at the bottom. Ugh.

I went to Macy's where I rec'd a quick fit. She suggested a 32 B Wacoal for Petites as someone else suggested. The clerk also said it was a great bra that works well for everybody. The padding is more along the bottom of the cup as opposed to the sides pushing in. Also, the cup is sort of a half looking cup, not a full coverage. I wore it the rest of today and it looked great.

I think if I wear an unpadded bra, I need to go down a cup size. But I will play around w/ that now that I am onto this brand.

Thank you so much for the strokes about my pic trail. I think I've had the abs for awhile, they were just hiding until I lost the last 15 pounds. I have been doing Cathe for about a year and a half? Maybe two years now. She is such a blessing~ I love being able to have tough credible workouts I can do at home.

BTW, all of my shopping started when someone brought up swim suits and many liked VS. They have suits on sale online, I tried a few on in the store and that triangle miracle bra top fit me perfectly! But the suits were more expensive in the store, by 10 dollars per piece.

Sorry VS didn't work out for you, but I'm glad you were able to return what you didn't want and find something at Macy's that you like. No matter where you get them, these dang things are too expensive to not fit right!
