Better gas up........

Oh great, Bush is moving his butt on this, so everything will be just fine. }( Not like he's the one who got us into this in the first place.

Sure, let's cut the tax on it, we don't need the social programs those taxes fund.

And let's take the last of our beautiful natural resources & turn them into refineries. That's EXACTLY what this country needs.

Enviro wackiness. Jeez Trevor. Just b/c someone doesn't share your opinion doesn't make them wacky. Just the opposite actually. :7

Thank goodness I work at home. No unnecessary trips for me either. I've parked by Envoy. Just call me Hermit.

I know, I'm like 2 blocks from work so I usually walk. I guess I'll have to start budgeting $40 a month for gas instead of the usual $20. }(

Today's range: $2.73 regular at the Delta Sonic unlead $2.99 @ mobil for premium. I'll check tomorrow to see if there is a sginificant difference.

Hmmm..."enviro wackiness"??? Weren't the "enviro wackos" the ones saying that we should start developing non-fossil energy sources in the first place?

I just ordered my heating oil for winter at 2.129 which was locked in from last year, the lady who took my order said it's up to 2.899 as of today. Crazy!

I fear for the elderly on fixed income for heat this winter.I personly am hit hard as I deliver mail as a contract carrier so my gas is figured into that-they have since put a 3 month department of energy cost into the contract.Meaning that we can't get anymore gas increase until october and than they will not back up and pay for the months we spent more(the difference use to be reimbersed to us)so I am locked into me only getting 2.14 a gallon and gas is 2.72 so far.I am losing about 200.00 a month at this rate.
What is Bush doing I haven't heard?I have felt it deep in my pockets in his second term -but to hear him talk we are not in a recession I guess not if you have millions of dollars I don't but wish I did:D

Don't want to enter a debate.....just wanted to say gas 60 miles south of Atlanta hit $3.25 a gallon for regular unleaded and places are running out.

I'll have to eat my own words. Latest report said at least 12 foreign countries have offered aid, including UK, Germany, and France.

DD just called me. She lives about 45 minutes from me. She can't even get into a gas station near her home. Places are running out and people are creating traffic jams trying to get into them. It's crazy!! It looks like we won't have to worry about buying gas at those prices, we may have a shortage in the short-term.

I've been getting gas about every month or so (nice to have a Prius!), so every time I fill up, it's pretty much sticker shock for me. "What! $2.50 a gallon? Last time I filled up, it was at $2.10!"

Two days ago I got gas at $2.45. Today the gas prices are $3.50! What is going on? Well I know what is, but when is it going to end?
He!! I will have to buy a scooter before it is done with!

Cool bike Dani! My ol' man just got a new Deuce.

Gas here by Cathe's studio is now any where from $2.75 to $2.99 on the same highway and all within 2 miles.

I don't know what I'm going to do to be able to get to work.

Are you posting a reply to me???? My name is Rebecca or "jpp" from videofitness.
This site is certainly everything I heard it was from the VFers. All in one week I have seen very bad cursing in a post that somehow disappeared. Now a personal attack from someone who apparently thinks they know me. Thanks a bunch.

DD just called me back. She is going out again to try to find gas. She couldn't get into any of the gas stations between her home and work. She is ranging farther out to see if she will have better luck. People are panicking.

ETA - just saw a news report, $5.87/gallon in Atlanta, GA

we were planning on getting a scooter anyway come tax season. probably get a cheap used one for about $500-$800.the claim was one fill up could last us the whole month.he was going to use it for work only since he is back and forth everyday, then we use the car when we have to go grocery shopping or something like that. they are hoping with the reserves being opend and after labor day when supply and demand is less rampant we will see a little relief but that remains speculation at this point. the amount of damage done in the south is going to take years to rebuild and they may need the use of gas to run generators and get basic essentials to them to survive.

We just got back from getting gas. The first gas station we went to was selling it for $2.99 a gal. but they were OUT OF GAS.....so we got it down the street for $3.09 ! OUCH!!!

nice on ice, you better ease up on the gas pedal. It would be unfortunate to have to return to the playground again. The "too much testosterone in the gym" post from Monday did get deleted. And I think "very bad cursing" is going a bit overboard to explain it. This is a great forum and there were some excellent replies to your outburst in that particular post. One can only hope that you saw them.
