Adjusting Threads

Is there a way to adjust the thread so it is within my window? I have to keep scrolling back and forth and it is a nuisance so I don't come here too often anymore. Please let me know if there is a way to fit it in my window. The old forum did.

Thanks
Rhonda

Bottom right hand corner of your screen there should be a magnifying glass with 100% next to it. Click on it and you can size down to 75% and you'll be able to see the whole page.

Shelley,
I don't see any magnifying glass or anything else that has percentages with it.

No, I don't have one either. Maybe it's only on Canadian computers? ;)

I'm so glad I'm not alone. I thought I might be going crazy.

Which internet browser are you using? It could be an issue with specific browsers. I use Firefox on my Mac and don't have that problem so maybe it's Explorer or whatever you're using. Can you try a different browser?

Heres How I did it

Internet Explorer

Bottom Left is Start Key.... LEFT CLICK
Go to your CONTROL PANEL
Click on Appearance & Themes
Select Change Screen Resolution
Go to SETTINGS TAB
move your resolution marker towards MORE

Worked for me.....HTH :)

Shelly, I never that was there.. haha!! Thanks.. i always like learning new things

For those who can't find it, check right above the time on the bottom right hand side of your computer [100%].

Sounds like your screen resolution is set 800x600. Try the 1024 x 768 setting, that should fix it. I prefer the 1280x800. Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings, and within the Settings tab you will find the slider to change your resolution.

I have done all those tricks you mentioned and still doesn't work for me. Guess I will have to live with scrolling and probably won't come here too often because of it. Just takes too much time to keep scrolling. Not sure why it won't work.

:( Dont give up! Its not a "trick" you need to figure out- its how to re-set your Screen Resolution settings...First: Click on your HELP button (mines at the top of my screen just under the place you type www.XXXXXXXX. Type in Screen Resolution & see what instructions come up....If that doesnt work you could look up the 800# for the computer manufacturer and call- I bet they can walk you thru it in 5 minutes.

Never give up! Computer stuff can get so frustrating! Its a beast that CAN be conquered!;)

It is the work computer and actually if I have my window full screen I don't need to scroll but I shrink the window a bit so others can't tell what I am doing : )

Full screen just seems too big. I have reset the resolution and that doesn't help get it into my smaller window. Resolution must have a default since it goes right back to what it was.

Oh well,
Rhonda

Hi -

I was having this same problem, which I did not experience with the old Forum. What Cathe's Administrator recommended to me and it works is go into your Properties (right click on main screen, scroll to Properties).

Once there go to Settings and make sure your pixel image is at 1024 x 768. This makes the font much smaller (and hard for these 49-year old eyes to read!), but it does shrink the Forum text onto the screen so you wil not have to scroll back and forth.

Once I am done reading Cathe Forums, I go back to my larger pixel setting. Kind of a pain, but it works.
