Hey, Donna and all who have been so supportive through my Alopecia Epoch - The A-Jock got buzzed this p.m., and I absolutely love it! Went as close to the scalp as possible, and because my hair is so dark there's still a "shadow" from the follicles that are still viable, but I'm totally bare up top!

And I love it!

Donna, we're gonna haveta compare notes on the freeing feeling here!

A-Jock, I buzzed two summers ago and I too loved it! My husband, who met me as a woman with hair to her waist, was quite shocked, so I am growing hair again for him. At forty, it's silver in many places and I think the buzz is much more appropriate for this old lady. :) I hope he'll come around but I can happily pull it back at the nape of my neck now. I am sure you look awesone! You go, girl!

I almost posted to see if you had done it. Glad that you like it. You sound like a very strong person who can make anything work. Maybe you could bleach out the top if you don't like the darkness showing. Just a thought.:D

I just had hubby buzz me again, in just 2 weeks my hair was trying to grow! Go figure, it wasn't trying to do that when it was longer, but now it wants to!? Hubby had a ball doing it! :)

One of the really positives is the fact that it really is hard to tell a woman's age with no hair! My hubby said standing side by side with my 18 year old we look more like sisters than mother/daughter, and with the silver hair that was coming out all over my head, this takes care of that! :)

Glad you're loving it, and I bet you look awesome!

My next door neighbor is fighting cancer & has no hair due to chemo treatments. I told her what you two are doing & why (one out of frustration with hair loss, the other out of support for a friend). She told me to tell you both--if you have a dog, let the dog lick the top of your head. You'll love the sensation. Ok, so I'm telling you this was her speaking not me! Sounds a little silly but hey different strokes, right?

I'm glad you two are having fun with it!

Ya know Deborah, I've been known to get into some fairly weird or even kinky things in my day, but I'm not too sure about letting a dog lick my head? :) I'll defer to A-Jock on that one! :)

Woo-Hoo!!! I was wondering when the haircut was happening! I can just picture how cool you look with the GI Jane do. Now you're going to have to think up one of your snappy lines for all the guys who are going to try to hit on you. You must just ooze self-confidence!! Yay, Annette!!
