    Numb toes

I started doing step workouts about 15 years ago, and I ALWAYS ended up with numb toes. I went through so many sneakers, tied them loosely and tied them tightly. It didn't matter and I just started ignoring it as much as I could. Nearly two years ago I started wearing Vibram Five Fingers and...

    Well I Finally Did It!

It seems like the only time I post on this forum anymore, it's for juicers and probiotics :). I'd say that if you've not juiced before, give yourself time. It will get easier and easier as you learn exactly how much produce it takes to juice what you want, how small you have to cut things...

    Well I Finally Did It!

I just bought the 8004 (same as 8006, but white and cheaper) after YEARS of a Greenstar juicer (a $100 part broke :\). I am in love with the Omega! The juice quality is comparable, using it is fun, and the clean-up is lightning fast. My biggest complaint with the Greenstar is that it was a...

    It has been years

Bobbi!!! I remember you and am happy to "see" you! I used to be sblordita. We had a couple of checkins together. I'm so sorry about what you went through. :( Unimaginable, but I'm so glad you're fighting for happiness again. I wish I knew what to say. I've been a perpetual beginner...

    Looking for Good Probiotic

VSL #3 is outstanding, but very pricey. A few months ago I had a severe bout of digestive issues. I was in absolute misery and my usual regimen of probiotics and digestive and systemic enzymes wasn't working. I found this probiotic and decided to try it (and anything else I could manage -...

    Pure White Noise (my recommendation)

My parents bought a King Size Tempurpedic a couple of years ago, and they said they no longer "see" each other during the night. My mom is like me, and has tortured my dad endlessly through the years. Now she says the bed is so huge and keeps her so firmly in place she hasn't been anywhere...

    Pure White Noise (my recommendation)

That describes ME to a T. I'm a horrible person to share a bed with. I'm the one who keeps suggesting we either get separate beds or separate bedrooms, but he doesn't want to. I actually end up getting up quite often, because I'm so restless and keep waking him up. I feel guilty. Almost as...

    Anyone in Bend, OR

Thank you! I didn't even see your reply, I'm so sorry! I'm very excited to move. Can't wait! I will contact the Chamber of Commerce for a start. I suppose I should get signed up with some employment service now. Being out of state still, I feel kind of trapped.

    Anyone in Bend, OR

If so, I really need advice/guidance/support . We just found out that we got a house that we were going for about an hour ago. We didn't expect it, so we didn't expect that we'd be moving at this moment. We have one friend there, but I was hoping to get information from anyone else who lives...

Can anyone recomend a good fiber supplement

I was going to add that I SUFFERED for most of my life, regardless of how much fiber, fruit, veggie or otherwise, that I ate. I finally found that taking a systemic enzyme + a GREAT quality probiotic on an empty stomach every morning changed my entire life. The type of probiotic that works...

    Dairy Free

I think being dairy free is very easy EXCEPT that as a vegetarian, going out to eat and avoiding dairy is an absolute chore. Vegetarian to most of the world = bread + cheese. And I'm gluten free, also. At home, it's the easiest thing in the world. You can make your own pastries; there are...

    What is Your Go-To Workout?

Step, Jump & Pump. When I feel like I need an all over, fun body-torcher, it gets the job done. I like it a lot. Stellar workout all around. Leaner Legs is my go-to leg killer. It's quick and deadly. For non-Cathe stuff, Ravi / Ana's Yoga Beauty Body is my favorite. Not sure why. I...

    Organizing a 5k: any advice?

Absolutely no advice, but I'm so happy you're doing that! So cool! People love dressing their pets (I certainly did :o), maybe you could have some sort of doggie outfit costume. Or collar decorating contest. Sounds wonderful.

    THE SPECIAL GIFT OF GIVING

That's wonderful! I will donate a foundation like this (or this one). Today I just made Christmas donations to The Humane Society and Wilderness.org, two things I believe in so incredibly much. I'm also donating money for Christmas meals for the homeless. Rather than exchanging gifts, I've...

Lost- the loss of one you love

Oh my goodness. I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss, as well. I have no idea what words would help you. You're in my thoughts. Please take care of yourself as much as you're able. Big, big hugs.

    Wen hair care

Thank you so much. My hair is like yours - except that it used to be thick and now it's, uh, not :(. So I will try the ones you mentioned. Going to place an order now!

Important info on 'natural' foods (watch)

TOTALLY agree! I'm beyond angry when I see that a family-sized bag of cheetos is cheaper than a couple of apples. Nothing more pathetic than that.:(

Important info on 'natural' foods (watch)

Agreed. Humans are meant to eat fresh, whole foods, and yes, I totally get that even those are being messed with. To assume, though, that if all packaged foods disappeared tomorrow, we'd never be able to eat again is wrong. It does suck to be told that your favorites aren't so good for you...
