    Alternate exercise for dead lifts??

    Hi Jerry, I also have lower back issues so whenever deadlifts come up in Cathe's workouts, I lay on an exercise ball with my abs and hips on the ball and my hands on the floor with arms bent. Then I lift my legs keeping my back straight. Does that make sense?

    push-ups and shoulder joints

    Hi, sorry you have shoulder pain. I have found doing pushups using a stability works for me. I don't crackle when I do them, but I tense up and get shoulder stiffness when I don't use the ball. I guess there is less pressure on the shoulder area this way. Maybe this would work for you too?

    I've read in the past that if you coat the blueberries with your flour lightly, they won't make your batter turn as blue. Haven't tried it, but may be worth a try.

    Do any of you have, let's call them freckles, on your face? If you use the self tanner, does it make these "freckles" darken? I am using a retin A type product to lighten these spots and don't want to reverse it by darkening them again. What do you think?

    tricep dips

    Thanks for the tips on the dips :D I will try with the dumbells and see if that works for me. The lying extensions you are talking about... do you hold a weight in your hand and flex it up at the wrist? Is that what you mean?
