    I just ordered a Vitamix

You'll love it! Not that you need to spend more money.....but I also purchased the optional smaller container (32 ounce) and use that a lot for homemade salad dressings (I always use nuts and seeds as a base instead of oil). I found the smaller container, in general, easier to handle and clean...

    STS check in Disc 10

I was a little weaker than normal doing the workout on this disc. Hmmm...I wonder why. Maybe, my strength just ebbs and flows like the tide...Anyway, I did do the best I could and I'll really try to increase my weight on the next DVD.

    Anyone use chia?

This is just one source I can remember off the top of my head: http://www.integratedhealth.com/featured-health-products/organic-chia-seeds.html I buy from many sources and usually purchase many pounds at a time. Used daily, I have them in my steel cut oats and sprinkled on top of my...

Kindle for your iPhone or iPod

Nancy, I love my Kindle....now I also read books on my iPod iTouch while DH reads the daily paper off my Kindle. (The iTouch does remember the spot you left off in your book...now how cool is that?) As for subscribing to papers....I'll send you a link for a free way to get your daily...

    Slowcooker recommendations - cookbooks too

Geez....I had four slow cookers and actually gave one away (....it was an old one from my mother that didn't have a removable crock pot). Do get one with a removable crock as Jacque suggested (it really is very important as far as cleaning ease). As for my other recommendations, do choose...

Eat Right for Your Blood Type

Carola, I totally agree with everything you've posted. I thought you might enjoy this article article by Michael Pollan. I really believe he hits the nail on the head: http://www.michaelpollan.com/article.php?id=87 Bundschun, I do think you may be interested as well. He comments on Gary...

Eat Right for Your Blood Type

You've obviously missed my point, but that's okay. I don't deny that some people have allergies to some fruit and vegetables but it certainly doesn't have anything to do with their blood type. I also do understand that you believe in and want to defend the blood type diet for whatever reason...

Eat Right for Your Blood Type

I haven't read it, but I don't believe in diets anyway. (They make people fat.) I believe in eating healthy whole foods as a lifestyle. I'm thin, but it has nothing to do with eating for my blood type or a diet....it's because I choose my whole foods wisely and I eat to be healthy (ah, yes...

Eat Right for Your Blood Type

Eat Right for Your Blood Type

I guess, I just don't think it's all that complicated. The studies are really out there but people just don't want to read or listen to them (otherwise we wouldn't be such an overweight, unhealthy nation). We really do know what's basically good for us...we just choose not to eat it (we'll take...

Eat Right for Your Blood Type

I've said it before and I'll say it again... I think the whole blood type thing is based more on science fiction rather than fact. For instance, I am blood type AB so I am supposed to eat a combination of the foods recommended for blood groups A and B. Now wouldn't that be somewhat confusing...

    Rekindle the "Kindle" Question

I've used the original Kindle....I'm not sure it would be worth it for you to upgrade. Your decision, of course. Heck, probably in another year or two the new one will have a touch screen and maybe a voice that reads with inflection based on the punctuation. Now, that would be a real upgrade...

    Rekindle the "Kindle" Question

Amazon say the battery charge can last for up to 4 days of reading if you leave the wireless on and 2 weeks if you leave it turned off. The text print is easily adjusted by just pressing the "Aa" symbol and you can choose from 6 different print sizes (you use the joystick)....being from the...

    Rekindle the "Kindle" Question

Anytime...:) I also found 3 books on Amazon for free. I figured if they don't appeal too me I can delete them. I also wanted to correct myself when I previously stated the graphics have been improved on the Kindle 2...I meant to say grayscale, which makes for much better illustrations...
