Question for runners -- doing hills

i use my whole foot when doing hills, but i tend to land and push off my toes when running steep hills. i try very hard to never land on the balls of my feet because it can lead to bruised or broken sesamoids (little bones under your big toe) which is painful.

Early Risers do you eat before working out?

ha, this is where i am now. i workout while our 16-month old son is still asleep and any little noise will wake up. our floors are creaky too, so i sneak around like a cat while getting ready for my run or weightlifting. i bring my banana with me when i leave and eat it in the driveway while i'm...

OMG. this really should be banned and added to the federal controlled substances list! i looked up the nutritional value of one sandwich: 643 calories and 18 grams of fat (48% of the daily allowance of saturated fat!) ugh!

    Question for early risers

i get up at 5 am and workout, then go to work for 8 hours, then come home and take care of my family. it's a long day. i find that drinking plenty of water and having some protein around 4pm helps me make it through the evening. i must be in bed by 10 pm to get at least 7 hrs of sleep.

    pull-ups/chin-ups...help!

i view chinups and pullups like i do levitation holds from coremax: just attempting the move is engaging the muscles. eventually you will get stronger and work your way up to doing full ones.
