    TDEE question

I question the accuracy too. I think it's too easy for some of us to overestimate how many calories we need daily. How many here have been working out with Cathe for some time yet still carry extra weight? Why? Obviously that answer will be different for everyone, but a few of us may find...

    TDEE question

I wonder how accurate our TDEEs are. For example, mine is 1852 with a BMR of 1347, but if I eat 1600 calories or more a day, I gain weight (and not the good, muscle-y kind of weight either). At 1500, I maintain. At 1400, I start to lose. Less than 1400, and the weight comes off quickly, but...

Could you please give me advice?

Hi Karli, I noticed you mentioned that you are already doing cardio work. Have you experimented with Cathe's weight DVDs yet? I ask only because usually one has to experiment to figure out what works personally for them. In other words, what works for me may not work for you. That all...

    PreOrder Done!

You won't be sorry, UnstrungHarp. Cathe's products are so consistently good, I would order blindly, without any information whatsoever (which is pretty close to what I did this morning), and not worry at all.

    PreOrder Done!

Heh. Now that I've ordered, I guess I should go back and actually fully read the description of the workouts. :o Initially, I just saw "4 new DVDs" and "presale," and that was all I needed!

    Is it time yet???????

Hi, Fit44! :) It's great to see the Cathletes again. I found I was having waaay too much fun on the forums and had to step away from the computer. Hope everyone is doing well. <3 MC, I think the pre-sale starts at Noon Eastern. (Despite knowing this, I'll be an idiot and start clicking that...

    The Having Kids Debate

Heh. This thread reminds me of a funny moment in our homeschool group. The day was beautiful, and the scene was ideal. Moms on blankets under the shade of huge trees, knitting and talking, kids of all ages playing on the swings and in a wide open, sunny field, the weather just right with the...

    The Having Kids Debate

One thing you mentioned is wondering if later you'll regret the decision to NOT have children. No matter what decision you make, there is a very good chance you'll look back on that alternate path you could have taken and wonder "what if." So if you DO have a child, at some point you may very...

    Vegan Yum-Yum Cookbook

I love this book too. :) My husband is also a dedicated carnivore, and he looks through the pages, points, and says, "Hey, can you make this one?" I mess with a lot of the recipes though. I do that with every book I own, not just this one. So don't be afraid to adjust ingredients or...

    The Having Kids Debate

I have to agree with the other ladies here ~ it's not selfish to not want children. Raising kids is a career all by itself, and you wouldn't want someone else's idea of a great career forced on you, right? So why be pressured into becoming a mom? I also agree that though I have little...

Anti-Gay Sentiment Surprise. An "Ugh" rant.

Heh. Like "Diet Catholic". :D Speaking of, my mom saw my "Cathlete" t-shirt and thought (hoped!) it meant "Catholic Athlete".

Any Landice or Pacemaster Treadmill owners?

I've had my Pacemaster for 10 years, and it's doing great. DH and I ran on it for most of that time, and now our 14 y/o has been running on it for the past year. We've replaced the belt and needed a little adjustment last winter. Other than that, it's been fine.
