Hello fellow enablers, to all of you who wrote about the vibram five finger shoes, I found a 10% off coupon I can use on them at a local store and I am going shopping today :-)

    new jari love workout

I own and really like several of Jari's earlier workouts (get ripped, slim and lean) - but when I bought "get extremely ripped" I hated it. I gave it two good tries to give it a chance, but I ended up returning it for a refund. I am not even going to look at this new one.

barefoot cardio - ellen barrett - loving it!

Yes, it's really simple. I am totally choreography challenged myself and still can't do any of the complex step workouts without marching in place and going "huh???" :-) And with my left foot currently injured, I sure don't want anything complicated to make matters worse.

barefoot cardio - ellen barrett - loving it!

Phyllis, I actually liked barefoot cardio so much I ordered all of her Studio workouts. I just did slim sculpt and I really liked it. Looking forward to the others soon this week. I am really liking the barefoot concept - it makes me feel like I am working my feet and lower legs more, and...

We love Doctor Who! I was downright depressed seeing David Tennant leave last night. But, we felt just as bad when Christopher Eccleston left the show a few years ago. So, we hope to like the new guy too.

barefoot cardio - ellen barrett - loving it!

Tricia, it is funny that you mention the Vibram Five Finger shoes - I was actually thinking of getting some and trying to work out in them. My husband wears them everywhere - golfing, working (we both teach at a university so can get away with shoes like that at work!). You post makes me think...

barefoot cardio - ellen barrett - loving it!

Ok so first I own every DVD workout Cathe has put out - and am a Cathe fanatic. That said, I found myself recently with a very painful foot problem - almost could not walk on it - much less workout as usual. My doctor did blood, xrays, and could not find anything wrong in the tests. I spent a...

Is it REALLY 75% DIET and 25% exercise??

I am guessing this is different for every one of us - but for me it's more like 90/10. Perhaps it does depend on age as well. But from 2001 - 2006 I was 30 pounds overweight, and I was working out like mad, but eating in a kind of "whatever" mindset. I believe I was working out wisely -...

Any other petite women here? - Rant

Also size 4 here - I find I can't find anything anymore at department stores. Down here in FL where I am we have Dillards and Macys primarily. It seems the only sizes they carry lately are big and bigger. Whenever I need a coat or pants or anything else I have pretty good luck at Banana...

I'm thinking of selling some of my new dvds

Kathryn, I want to thank you for making that point about the very forgiving, specially constructed floors that Cathe and crew are on. I had never even thought of that! After reading your post I immediately loaded up MMA Boxing and yes I can SEE the floor springing up and down underneath their...

I'm thinking of selling some of my new dvds

Also I want to add - there is a great book on working out with a lot of tips for the over-50 crowd - "Ready, Set, Go Synergy Fitness" by Phil Campbell, and this book emphasizes doing plyo as you get older, instead of giving it up. He also gives many of the reasons why, some of which Bethi just...

I'm thinking of selling some of my new dvds

I am 52 and my philosophy is that I like to have the high-impact high-intensity as a constant goal - and as I need to, I modify, modify and modify. For example I have done the cardio from Drill Max a lot and while I can't say I do everything the same way Cathe and crew do, I do a lot of it, and...

Clothing and shoes in STS Shock Cardio

I am actually so excited about this new set I got some new Ryka cross trainers for the occasion, which were recommended by Oxygen magazine. Cathe tends to wear Rykas, though I can never tell which exact model from any of the DVDs. Also I will need that fresh new cushioning to get through the...

I am so excited and had to "tell" someone. I can't believe it is getting here for Christmas Eve :-) Thanks Cathe and everyone for getting these shipped even in a northeastern blizzard. This is the best Christmas gift ever!!!

    Less Equipment

One that comes to mind is the new "Travel Fit" - it requires only a fitness band. Sounds like you don't have one yet but they are cheap and can be gotten almost anywhere. I am really looking forward to this DVD when it arrives - it's part of STS Shock Cardio.
