    I also have an announcement...

RE: Oh LAY-dees...... Alana - favorite has to be banana daquiris. Those things are dangerous! Just blend up a banana with some rum, triple sec, sweetened lime juice and ice, and there you go. SO yummy. *heads to the kitchen*

Skinny Cow no sugar added fudge bars

I haven't tried the NSA fudge pops, but we do have the 50-cal each ones right now, and they're fantastic! We also recently tried Weight Watchers ice cream bars, and those were also really good (their ice cream seems a bit creamier than Skinny Cow's). We tend to be big ice cream eaters, and have...

    Kashi frozen entrees

I'm with you on Amy's products, Emily. I'm in love with their pot pies! Not too low-cal, but SO yummy.

Amy Bento - 1st time and didn't like it, anyone else ?

I tried out one of her step videos a few months ago (can't remember what it was called). I also didn't quite click with her. She was a little too cheerleader-y for my taste, and I agree that it didn't seem that safety was foremost in her mind when she created the workout. It was by no means the...

    Kashi frozen entrees

Lean Cuisine's butternut squash ravioli totally rocks! I also really like their margherita pizza. Put that with a big ol' salad and it makes for a decent and quick lunch.

which rotation was it that had you do BC 2x in a row?

Wow. Scariest. Rotation. EVER. I fear it!

What to do with ALL these tomatoes????

You could also make some no-cook marinara-type sauce to toss with pasta. I've done this in the past. I think it's pretty much just throwing some tomatoes in a blender with a bit of olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and italian seasonings and pureeing it, then throw in another one at the end to add...

bulky.....is it all in our head?????

What I wouldn't give to get a little more "junk in the trunk"! :P I've got a flat little booty and am hoping that with a pretty consistent lower body program (loads of B&G coming my way!) that I can "round things out".

    Rykas

Thanks, sounds like I'll be going with the N-Gage Instructor. I noticed that this seller also has Ryka "Stability Walks" available. Has anyone tried them? Are they worth purchasing if I'm just planning on using them for walks?

    Pilates/Resistance Bands

Wow, thanks Carol, that was SUPER helpful! I've never been to that website before. We'd been looking for 2.5 pound plates for our new barbell, and they had those too, so we were able to get everything we were looking for at one place. What a great website! I got two each of the green, purple...

    Rykas

Hmm. I just checked Ebay and found both Enlight II and N-Gage Instructors, in size 11. The Enlights are $20 cheaper ($43 vs. $63), but I've heard both shoes are good. Which should I go with?

    Rykas

After hearing the raves on this board about them, I've decided to go ahead and get myself a pair of Rykas for Cathe workouts. I did a search but couldn't quite find which type of Rykas I should be looking for. What is the consensus on which type of Ryka is best to use for these workouts (high...

    Pilates/Resistance Bands

My husband was working out to Cathe the other day and the medium-resistance Firm pilates band that we use somehow snapped in half while doing those outer thigh work in GS Legs. Later that day, we went to Target and picked up a 3-pack of pilates bands of various tensions, thinking all pilates...

    So much high impact?

Thanks everyone for the info. I've also got a bunch of Christi Taylor workouts, and while 60% of them are step, they're still much less impactful than the majority of Cathe's step, so perhaps I'll just sub those in occasionally when my joints need a break.

    So much high impact?

Thanks, Susan. Yes, I think it's about time I made friends with kick-boxing. I don't usually enjoy it, since all the quick twisting is hard on my knees, but maybe I'll just have to be more careful. If I do step 3-4 days a week I know I'm going to end up with knee or foot problems, which I...

    So much high impact?

I've been following Cathe's August rotation, and just got done with Imax 3. My feet, particularly the ball of my right foot, is starting to hurt from all the jumping and pounding involved with the Imax's, not to mention the high-lo from MIC, which I did the other day for the first time (and...

    BLOG UPDATE!! :)

I agree about too many options. I could drive myself crazy trying to come up with new mixes, and I don't actually think I would have fun with it. No, I'm more of a "tell me exactly which video to do on which day" sort of girl, that way the guess-work has been taken out and I know I'm doing the...

Subs for Leaner Legs and CTX?

I'm doing Cathe's current August rotation, and she's got us doing Leaner Legs this week and CTX Kickbox and CTX all Upper Body in a couple of weeks. I don't have either of these videos just yet. Would S&H Lower Body be an ok sub for LL? I could do GS or PLB instead, but she's already got those...

    Skinny Bitch

This is actually the book that made me go vegetarian about a year ago. :P I bought it, having come across it at a bookstore and kind of liking the no-nonsense tone of the book, but had no idea at the time that it was going to be touting a vegan diet. I'm not sure I agree 100% with everything...

    Your favorite fruit?

Ooh, yum! I love them all, but my favorites are mango, any kind of berry, pineapple, peaches, and grapefruit.
