Kashi frozen entrees

I decided to replace my Weight Watchers entrees for lunch with Kashi and I'm thinking...not that tasty. They're not bad...but that's about it. Not exactly making "yummy" noises when I eat them. Maybe it's just getting myself used to the "all natural" thing.

Anyone else tried them? I've had the Black Bean Mango and Southwest Chicken. I'm hopeful they will grow on me, because I hate cooking.

I've had the Chicken Pasta Pomodoro which I like but I didn't care of the Sweet and Sour Chicken.

I have tried 4 different ones ( got them in a pack at B.J's) and did not like any of them... there is some strange spice that is in all of them that I really did not like. I am back to my Lean Cuisines.

I think these Kashi meals are pretty nasty. I did have the rosemary chicken one and that was okay, but they are pretty expensive and not worth it for that taste. Whatever you do, don't try the Sweet and Sour Chicken. OMG, it is a major gagger. I am sticking with lean cuisines for frozen meals too. Their new spa line is very good.

I've tried several of these - the Black Bean Mango, Lime Cilantro Shrimp and the Coconut Chicken. They were all okay. I'm not a big frozen meal fan in the first place, so my expectations were low. They're fine in a pinch, but not something I would rely on. I'd rather just throw together a sandwich in the morning or take leftovers from dinner.

I've only tried 3 of them: Southwest Chicken, the chicken pasta one and the Sweet & Sour chicken. I love the Southwest Chicken, seriously my favorite frozen meal ever! The chicken pasta one was so/so...I probably will not buy it again. As mentioned above, the sweet & sour chicken is absolutely the most foul thing I've ever eaten in my life. I want to gag just thinking about it. It's THAT bad!

Lean Cuisine's butternut squash ravioli totally rocks! I also really like their margherita pizza. Put that with a big ol' salad and it makes for a decent and quick lunch.

The only one I've tried was the Black Bean Mango one, and it was alright. Nothing to write home about, but edible.

I don't eat a lot of frozen meals, but if I do, I go for Amy's frozen meals. Very tasty (and vegetarian-friendly). :9

Sometimes if I am in a crunch I will eat the Black Bean Mango meal. It is okay. Something to get me by in a crunch but not something I would go out of my way to eat.

I think they all taste the same - no matter which one I try. And I'm not a huge fan of that taste. So I gave up. I like Amy's - but I noticed the same thing. But at least I feel as if I'm eating healthier.

Kashis are okay and certainly far better choices than many other frozen meals. Lean Cuisine are just that and leave me starving with their low fiber/high sodium content. I do really like the Amy's meals (the one with black eyed peas is quite yummy for a frozen meal) and I have also enjoyed some of the Indian varieties (such as channa masala)that I have found in the "Naturals" section of my grocery store.

I tried the Kashi Mango Black Bean one and wasn't that impressed.

I love Amy's. I usually keep a couple in the fridge at work so if I don't have time to go home or go out for lunch, I have something that's quick and good.

I also like CedarLane dinners, too. Just check out the calories, though, because most of them are two servings, but even with that, the whole package is rarely over 400 cals...at least the ones I've had. www.cedarlanefoods.com/

I just chowed down on Amy's mattar paneer--very good and certainly healthier than my local curry house (which is devilishly yummy!)

I guess I'm pretty odd because I do like the Kashi meals. Are you guys throwing stuff at me about right nowx( And my favorite is the sweet & sour chicken.....

I haven't tried the pizza but plan too....maybe.....:D

I like Lean Cuisine also but I tend to get really hungry shortly after eating them.

With all that said, I haven't eaten frozen meals for quite a few months...trying to eat as clean, fresh and natural as I can.

Have a great evening!
