    Moles in my flower beds!!!

I've also heard that you can poke holes, think as far down as you need to access their tunnel, and drop moth balls in the holes. Cover them with the dirt that was in the hole again. We live in the country and do have moles, but none in our flower beds. But, my father-in-law has used this...

    Hope In A Jar

Hello, I have tried the product and didn't care to much for it. But, I have extremely dry skin so you may actually like it better than I did. It didn't have enough oil/moisturizer in it for my taste. I prefer the Anew products by Avon to the Philosphy brand. That was my opinion, if it...

    Holiday Tipping

The only person I tip is my hairdresser/stylist. You are supposed to either double your usual tip or you can give a gift worth what your service usually cost. So, I just gave her a gift card for 35$ which is what it cost me to get my hair cut and styled. In the US, postal carriers are not...

    Quick Appetizer or Dessert Idea

You can mix a can of lemon pie filling with a box of angel food cake. Just those two ingredients, don't use the actual ingredients that the cake calls for. Spread into a greased jelly roll pan and bake for 20-25 minutes on 350. Dust with powdered sugar when cool. Super easy and low fat...

    Confessions

Ok Melrose, I think you might be my twin! These are all my confessions too! I might have to add shortbread cookies covered in chocolate, though. The Milans by pepperidge farms are to die for!

    Any depressed Spinach eaters?

Just wanted to answer as to why the grain is preferred. It makes the meat taste better. Hopefully, not causing any offense to those who do not eat meat...but for those who do, feeding cattle corn provides more flavor and marbling than grass fed. It's kind of like, would you rather eat grass...

    off topic/love being SAHM

Another thought would be to look into a corporate position that offers flex-time. I currently work for a corporation and work a 40 week but work 7:30-3:30, working through lunch. It's great b/c althought I don't have kids I can still get home at a decent hour and don't have to deal with...

    Hairstylists & Curlyheads, I have a question

This post just grabbed my attention. I have naturally curly hair and I love it...but as Nancy said, it's because I've finally found a stylist that knows how to cut it and a product that reigns in all of the frizz. I live in the midwest where humidity is the name of the game the entire year...

    spoiler american idol!!!

I was so sad too! I loved Chris. Just to throw a few thoughts out there...I've heard here in my office that the band Fuel (which Chris sang one of their songs) has put in an offer for him as a lead singer. Also, Creed (whom he also did a song for) is looking for a new lead singer. This is...

    advice on foundation

I'm not a big foundation girl either, and have found that the All In One Face Base from The Body Shop works great. Especially in the summer. It's more like a powder than a liquid base. Here's a link for it...

    Runner's Check-in Mon Apr 10

Hello, Didn't get to check-in over the weekend. But I did 4.25 miles on Saturday and I think about a 2.5 mile run yesterday. It was so gorgeous out that I just had to go for a run outside. I don't have a pedometer, but DH does the same run and says it's about 2.5. It was a great running...

    Runners Check In April 7

Good morning. I took a much needed rest day today, but plan to do 4 miles tomorrow. It will probably be a walk/run combo, hopefully with more running. You all are so inspirational. Can't wait to say that I ran 18 miles! Jen

    Runners Checkin April 6th

I thought the warm up was a little long too, I just increased my speed to a fast-paced walk. I had to adjust some of the inclines as my treadmill only goes up to a 10% incline. But overall, a good interval-like cardio incorporating running. I think the ups and downs reminded of IMAX.

    Runners Checkin April 6th

I managed to survive the treadmill workout you posted Lori. That was awesome and extremely hard for me too. I had to adjust some of the speeds because I'm not so efficient at running faster than 5.5 right now. I plan to work up to it, though. Thanks for posting it! It reminded me of the...

    Runners check in April 4th

Diane...thanks for the program. I may try this starting at week 6. I can run for 30 minutes straight but I usually do it on a speed of 4.5. I have really short legs anyway, so doing anything higher than 6.5 and I look like a cartoon! I'm thinking I need to get back into steady-state even...
