spoiler american idol!!!

I don't like Fantasia, but she was just on tour with Kanye West a few months ago. She hasn't fallen off the face of the earth. I think Ruben is too unhealthy to handle that lifestyle (touring, performing, etc).

Some people liked Chris and some didn't - same for everyone else, it's just a matter of opinion. Nobody's right or wrong here. As I've said before I didn't like him, but I was shocked he is gone because I know a lot of people do love him. I really did think he'd win.

I remember seeing him on some talk show (by some guy who was a judge and used to be on one of the court shows (like Judge Judy, The People's Court type of thing). He was committing to losing weight and had the show set up a diet and exercise program for him. I never saw the show after that. When he was on AI, it looked like singing just one song took a lot out of him. I was hoping he'd lose the weight for his health's sake.

How about Justin Guarini? Anybody hear anything about him after the crappy movie he made with Kelly (who didn't suffer from it) or his flop debut album?

Add me to the list of people not watching anymore. I was so mad when I heard about it this morning. Chris absolutely should have won the whole thing. Katherine is too enamoured with herself. Taylor is a spastic fool - he wouldn't be so bad if he would stop that "dancing." He will have a great, long career in Vegas.
At this point, I'm stuck rooting for Elliott, who did do really well on Tuesday. But I'm done with that show now. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to hear that it's rigged, somehow. Chris will go on to bigger and better things, anyway. Love him!!

I was also SHOCKED that Chris was voted off. I really think it should have been Katherine. I have to say though, I LOVE Elliott and I do want him to win. I think he has an amazing voice and he seems like such a nice guy. It is definitley getting very interesting though. I do feel bad for Chris because I doubt if he thought this would happen this week. You guys are all right about the fact that he will definitley be very successful.

I'm convinced now that our votes don't always count as much as they make us think they do. When I voted for Chris, I tired for an hour and a half and only got through 2 times. When I voted for Taylor I got through 3 times in 15 minutes. I'm not a happy camper today at all. Nor was I last night either when I got the news. I'm not even sure that I want to finish watching this season now. I probably will because it's a habit now and curiosity will get the best of me. But I'm done voting.
I have heard that Fuel has already asked Chris to be their lead singer. I am sure that Chris is probably better off not being the American Idol, he'll have more freedom to do what he wants. But I still wanted him to win. I miight have to get tickets for the concert, just to see him live.

I've heard that there are people who have their computers set up so that they can vote multiple times (hundreds). Makes it hard for the hand dialers to keep up.

I was so sad too! I loved Chris. Just to throw a few thoughts out there...I've heard here in my office that the band Fuel (which Chris sang one of their songs) has put in an offer for him as a lead singer. Also, Creed (whom he also did a song for) is looking for a new lead singer.

This is I'm sure all speculation, but I love that the possibilities are out there. I don't want to see him disappear because he is so talented!

I love watching AI, but I don't think that the best singer/performer has won since Kelly Clarkson. I was also very disappointed that Chris was voted off, but I believe, like everyone else does, that he will be very successful. Perhaps more than he would have been had he won (look at all of the problems that Kelly Clarkson had dealing with her contract...it's taken this long for her to make the album she wanted and it has been far more successful than her last). And like Kathryn and others say, our votes don't count as much as they at AI would have you believe because of the people who have their computers do the dialing.

Oh well, it's still entertaining to watch (just watching Paula keeps me amused }( )

Becky

It isn't that I didn't like him - I just don't think he has the "It" factor of likeablilty and entertain-ability like Taylor and Elliott. I really think the one who SHOULD have been booted off is Kathryn. We all really do NOT have to like the same ones! So if I'm OK with Chris being voted off, it's not a big deal.

Sara - I totally agree with you. I was so upset. I don't think any of the 3 that are left come close to being as talented as Chris. I really thought a rocker was FINALLY going to win this darn show. Anyway, I don't think I'll be watching anymore because I was rooting for Chris and am no longer interested in watching the others. I'll just wait to hear the news regarding who wins but I don't care to watch anymore this season.

I admit I am with everyone who was really shocked. I thought Chris was very talented, but I am also a big Fuel fan and since they are without a lead singer now....Hello Chris! I think he would do so well with Fuel, better than he would being the Idol. This might be a good thing. Trust me Chris is going to be a star! Creed is also looking for a new lead singer, but since I am a Fuel fan I want to see him there.

I hope Elliot takes all. He is a class act.

My sister (who lives in Richmond) just called me to let me know some of the events that Elliott is going to be involved in during the next few days in Richmond. The three AI contestants are going to their hometowns for filming, etc. Elliott is going to be meeting with children/adolescents who have type 1 diabetes and talking about his experience with the disease and how it affects him. (He wears an insulin pump 24/7)

Elliott is definitely an inspiration to all of us in VA! I hope that you Daughtery fans will consider voting for Elliott now! Critics complained that he lacked "personality" in the past, but hopefully America's beginning to see just what a great guy this is. Plus, I think his lack of "personality" in the past had a lot to do with self-confidence. The guy has had a hard life ~ severe diabetic, high school drop out (after being persuaded by adult educators who are supposed to uplift and encourage kids, not tear them down!), and he's deaf in one ear!!

Can you tell that we love him around here??

Sarah

Sarah, that is awesome that he's doing that! Yay, finally a star that isn't hiding it or passing off diabetes as nothing special. I hope that he'll bring some light to the diabetic community and help people understand it a little better.
I had no idea that he was deaf in one ear either.

Hey Ladies,

I didn't watch but was suprised to hear the news. But, also just heard a news report that said some viewers are complaining because the number Ryan Seacrest gave out to vote for Chris was actually a number for Katherine. American Idol apparently has "no official comment" yet.

Another one no longer watching.

Katherine was awful.. just a pretty face I guess. Sad home much looks count in the good old USA

I think it's awesome if Chris goes with Fuel. Lot more folks will listen now too.

Taylor drives me nuts - I really do agree with Simon he is like a drunken father at a wedding. I see him getting old fast. It's almost like he is a joke.

Elliot has improved and has a good story but just no charisma.

Simon is going to have to do a lot of marketing now.

DITTO, DITTO, DITTO.... I'm not watching anymore either. The show is just more trashy Hollywood hype. I hardy ever watch TV and this was my first season getting sucked into something which surprised my kids too. I only watched because of Chris and I can tell you that myself and soooo many people I've talked with voted a gazillion times for him every week and it was ALWAYS hard to get through. Anyway, before I rant all night, I just wanted to add that I too think the voting is bogus and the stunt they just pulled with Chris has proven it. I'll never watch that stupid show again because it clearly isn’t a fair show based on talent and “America’s voting”, and besides I'm not into watching Paula behave like a complete buffoon anymore. As soon as he decides what he is doing, I will buy Chris’ CDs, and quite possibly lots of them and pass them around to my family and friends, just to support the guy and his dream. You’ve got to hand it to him because he's not a conceited pompous a$$, but instead a man of absolute virtue. I think this was a stupid maneuver for the show, but just maybe a good thing for Chris; he’s going to really ROCK America now! GO CHRIS!!!

Whew…thanks for letting me rant….lol :+

Well, I agree we don't all have to like the same people. That's just not realistic. I'm shocked Chris is gone too but overall he'll be better off without the constraints of their contract. Someone earlier made a good point about Kelly. Now that she's done making ridiculously bad movies for them and singing the kinds of songs they want her to sing, she's well on her way to super-stardom on her own merits. I also don't think something like this is enough to make me stop watching it. Fox is all about ratings. We have no real idea how "true" the voting is anyway, so why not just sit back and enjoy it each week? I like laughing at Paula each week. She's a hoot! Every season has had it's "controversy", either with voting or with stories coming out about contestants being criminals, etc.
