does anyone else hate rest days???

Yes, I hate rest days and probably don't take them often enough. I feel sluggish and not as energetic as I do on the days that I work out. I work out early in the morning on weekedays before I go to work or before I do anything else on the weekends (not as early!!) It just starts my day off...

    GS Legs

I also did this workout for the first time this morning. I absolutely love it. There are new moves, new twists on old moves, and the band really takes it up a notch. My inner thighs were "pinching" during those pulses and my calves were "singing" during that part of the workout. "Pulse"...

So are you glad you bought the whole series??

I am thrilled with my Hardcore workouts. I've only had them a week and have done about 1/2 of them, but I consider purchasing the entire Hardcore series one of the best and smartest purchases I've ever made. :-)

    This 53-year-old, soon-to-be Granny sends . . .

Melrose, It was so good to see a post from another "50-something" here. I love Low Max, too. I'm a soon-to-be 58 year old Grandma of 3 and I really don't have any joint problems (knock on wood) so I can do the higher impact workouts, but it's very nice to have the option of an intense low...

Anyone ordered in July and have NOT been notified?

I ordered on July 29th and received my shipping notification last night. My workouts are scheduled to be delivered on the 10th. Nancy:-)

stability ball abs- wedging the ball b/w your butt and ankles

I think the trick is to make sure your legs are bare. I wear workout pants and have to pull them up to expose my lower legs so the skin "sticks" to the ball. That, along with the rubber on your workout shoes, tends to keep the ball in place. But, as you say, maybe the texture of your ball is...

Can I do Cathe's workout using the Firm Box?

I use my Fanny Lifter and Firm Box (the more sturdy replacement one) for all my Cathe workouts. They work just fine. I do have a High Step on my "wish list" though. Nancy

What are you doing to prepare for the Hard Core Series?

RE: What are you doing to prepare for the Hard Core Ser... Conni, Would you mind posting the Body Blast Rotation or let me know where I can find it? I've finally got all the the Body Blast workouts! Thank you, :-)

    High Step Training Beginner/ Intermediate

I ordered this DVD first from the series. After doing the Basic Step workout once and acquainting myself with Cathe's steps/cueing, I thought I'd never do it again because it is quite easy. I like Body Fusion as an intermediate type of workout. Anyway, I've found myself using Basic Step as a...

Former Firm workout person, switching to Cathe

Wow, lots of Firmies here! Count me in as another Firmie who has found Cathe. I had some of her workouts previously but didn't do them very often as they kind of intimidated me and I was concentrating on my Firms, especially BSS3. Well, I ordered Cathe's Basic Step to acquaint myself with her...

No more excuses not to workout

I agree with you wholeheartedly. During the past year and a half, I'd purchased a few Cathe workouts. I had no problem with her strength videos, but her step routines were a bit overwhelming to me. I purchased Basic Step and Body Fusion and was really glad that I did. Basic Step familiarized...

I HAVE BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK!!!

I totally agree. Now I want to get rid of my Cathe's on VHS and get the DVD's!!! The premixes are wonderful and I'm getting so spoiled that now I hate rewinding my tapes!!! How bad is that?

    Walking Lunges

I'd like the answer to this one too, Deb. There's quite a difference, depending on how "200 walking lunges" is interpreted. Also, can I assume that because there are so many walking lunges that we are not holding any weights!?!(Oh PLEASE let the answer be "No")

    Question: Lean Muscle vs. "Bulk"

RE: Question: Lean Muscle vs. I am also interested in Cathe's answer to this question. Cathe, very often during your workouts, you mention not to let the muscle you're working completely relax on the negative movement. I saw a trainer on television within the last couple of weeks who said...

I want to try Cathe but am scared!

Don't be afraid. I'm 56 and have just entered the world of Cathe in the last couple of months. I'm also a Firm Believer but had to check out Cathe after hearing people talk about her workouts on the Firm Ya-Ya's boards. Her workouts are intense but you really know that you are getting a good...

I hope this is not too dumb a question...

RE: Not dumb at all . . . Years ago there was an exercise system for women - can't remember what it was, it was a loooooong time ago. Anyway, they had you doing squats and lunges daily and their premise was that working those areas daily decreased the size, just as you state in your post...

    ? re: CTX and PH

Debbie, Thank you so much for the help. Up until Tuesday, I only had Cathe's two pyramid videos, which I love, and Ab Hits. I've added the slow and heavy series plus a couple of her circuit workouts. This morning I did Power Hour and love that one too. I've previewed IMAX 2. It looked a...

    ? re: CTX and PH

Hi Bec, I'm just starting to "get into" Cathe. This is the first time I've looked through these boards and I'm not very familiar with them. Is there a certain place to go to find rotations like the one you mention here? Or are they posted randomly and I'll just have to browse the boards...
