    Any Football Fans Out There?

I think the Saints will win it all. It was good to see the Baltimore Colts beat the Cleveland Ravens last weekend. From what I saw on the sports channels, the Ravens fans couldn't have been more hypocritical or misdirected in their anger. I thought losing was good medicine for them.

Anyone else concerned w/wacky winter weather?

Blame El Nino because that is what is causing it. Until I see a study that proves global warming without deleting data or falsifying data I will remain skeptical. The media loves to drum up the catastrophe of the week to satisfy our cravings for news 24 hours a day. Don't fall into the trap.

    Wal Mart sucks!

In a capitalist world, the person who can make and sell decent products for the cheapest price wins the game. The guilt trip needs to end.

I have issues with some of Bush's ideas too. The fact that our borders are wide open is one. North Korea is a totally different thing from Iraq based on who is in that country and where they are positioned geographically. China is sitting on them anyway. Your comment on the death toll...

Candi, isn't your statement rather silly when you really read what you typed? It is, after all, a volunteer military. We can disagree but your statement has me shaking my head.

    Wii - system...

I have seen this system in the malls. Seems odd to me watching people swing at images of tennis balls and golf balls. I think I will skip it and tell my kids to actually go outside and play a real game of tennis if they want to play. The video gaming is out of control in my opinion.

Amy, we don't see eye to eye on this and that is fine. But nothing I stated is "crazy". I also have plenty of friends and family involved in this conflict. They all know that getting killed while doing their job is a very real possibility. I attended the Army-Navy game this past weekend. I...

I wanted to thank Bill for his service to our country. Hang in there Bill. It's troublesome to me when people who sit on their sofas and watch this Iraq War on left leaning news channels think they know more about it than people who are actually over there and involved in it. I have family in...

    Fast Food Nation

Amy, people are free to choose their diets. The science doesn't back up alot of these claims you see here though. Having an opinion that is backed up by scientific fact is not being defensive. Refusing to look at the scientific data is, however, sticking one's head in the sand. As someone said...

We all know that animals are probably higher on the social plane in Indian Hindu culture than are women. But that's a different issue.

No, it just shows I mistyped--I meant calories. So you are equating humans and animals. Again, that's the old PETA argument. You need a B12 supplement? Yes? No? If so, doesn't that tell you something? You are on a diet that requires outside supplements because of deficiencies you are bringing...

Carolyn I apologize, I was replying to Kathryn. I am new to the forum and got the replies mixed up. I can reply to your comments though. I cannot think of a true carnivore with the intelligence to realize that cooked food tastes better than raw food. I think humans cook their food as a matter...

The tooth argument is not relevant as I have stated already. Humans have evolved using tools and intelligence which means we have no need for things like claws and teeth that true carnivores have. You are oversimplifying the comparisons.

    Fast Food Nation

I wanted to say that the argument concerning intestine length is not correct. The types of cells that make up the intestine is what counts in general. Humans have cell types and receptors that favor eating meat. Humans do not have claws because of our higher intelligence. During evolution we...

    Bad form at the gym

Both sexes are guilty of bad form at times. You really have a problem with men in general don't you? That is the impression I get from many of your posts. Everything they do seems to annoy you. Just for the record many bodybuilders use "cheating" movements in their workouts in order to subject...

Duke rape case - did anyone watch 60 Minutes?
