    Workout shoes

Thanks everyone for your input! I'm hoping to find a local store I can give business to, and I'll bring this list along to try on. I may even try that minimalist shoe along with a traditional pair and see how I like them, perhaps alternating them. I adore this forum - Cathletes are the...

    Workout shoes

Hello, fellow Cathletes! I think it's (really, past) time I got some new shoes for cardio. I tried poking around the forum, but the most recent thread I could find was from 2012. What are some of your favorite shoes to use with Cathe's stuff (i.e. HIIT, step, Kickbox, etc.)? Thanks for...

    DVD suggestion for beginner

Welcome back from your injury, Vela! I'm sure that this isn't an earth-shattering suggestion, but one go-to workout would be Cathe's Basic Step + Cardio Fusion. CF has toning in it, though BS does not. However, these include club-length steps. Unfortunately I don't know of any high step...

    Pure Strength, Pure Love

Cathe's first-time ever was Step N Motion. She never released it on DVD (though I have the VHS), but I remember she created a download of it a few years ago that cost about $5.00. I don't know if it's available anymore. It's really quite amazing - it came out in the late '80s, and even then she...

Cathe helped me solve my crossword!

So I'm looking at the clue "1977 Foreigner hit," with the pattern of -OL-A-I-- And what do I hear in my mind? Cathe in IMAX2 shouting out: "Three . . . two. . . one, run it up. Basic left." Ah, of course - Cold as Ice!

    I think I strained a muscle

It was probably only a matter of time! When I was doing dumbbell pullovers yesterday, I felt one of my pec muscles twinge. Ever since, it has been sore, or its corresponding lat, or both. The soreness, I would say, is kind of an ache that almost reminds me of a bruise. Is that a strained...

    287 lbs starting weight

The beginner DVD is actually the perfect one to begin with! She treated as a beginner DVD, so she actually breaks down pretty much every move. In later DVDs, show just throw a term at you like "around the world." Here she actually shows you how to do that. You'll love her! Good luck!

    100 Rep Challenge Question

Cathe -- I am so excited to work on the 100RC! I think the idea of actually building our neural pathways is fascinating, and I am anxious to throw these in to my workout regimen! My question (which I haven't found clarified elsewhere, but I hope I'm not making you repeat yourself) is this...

    Newbie help?

Hello, TmJ :) First of all, congrats on losing 50 lbs - that's phenomenal! Here's a few answers for you: STS Total Body is a separate disc to order. I bought the STS package when there was a multi-disc sale, if I remember correctly. If you order the Cathe calendar, SNM usually includes a...

XTRAIN- Tshirt and/or Tank for Motivation and inspiration?

How about, "Now that's the way to work"? I like the tank idea also.

    Dont overlook........

ReneePruitt: I definitely think that she breaks stuff down in her earlier workouts, and Flying Angels is no exception. She spends a solid minute or two building them up in Step Fit. Another example comes from Rhythmic Step +. I did IMAX the other day, and she spent some time breaking down...

    Cathe HiiT on CBS news!

Thanks for sharing that! I had to laugh when the interviewer asked the doctor if someone could go from "right off the couch" to P90X. A-yeah; I wouldn't recommend it. And I was so proud of Cathe's workout being shown while he touted HIIT as the best recommendation he had, though I wished the...
