I think I strained a muscle

It was probably only a matter of time! When I was doing dumbbell pullovers yesterday, I felt one of my pec muscles twinge. Ever since, it has been sore, or its corresponding lat, or both. The soreness, I would say, is kind of an ache that almost reminds me of a bruise. Is that a strained muscle? Any recommendations? I'm leaving it be right now, not even doing any cardio that involves arm movements.

Any advice to speed recovery would be appreciated!

Try 5 grams of powdered BCAA's and 5 grams of glutamine for a week or so. And as you're already doing, give it rest!
