Hi everyone!
Shelley---Hoping that Gerry had good news at his appointment! Chronic pain is not easily endured.
Pushups have become difficult for me with all the issues with my wrists and elbows. Lately I've been doing them with dumbbells and that seems to make them more doable. I can get through the first set on my toes but then drop down to my knees. Someone once said that if you have a long torso, they are harder to do on your toes....so that's my excuse! LOL
Burpees have never been a favorite and really wind me. I also have to be careful otherwise they irritate my back.
Jumping on the step with both feet has never been hard but that's probably because I'm taller -- 5'8. If I remember correctly, Rhonda (who was taller) always used an extra riser when doing step. I always feel guilty for not doing the same thing.
Some day Chris and Abby are going to make me go to Hawaii.........but they'll have to drug me to be on a plane for that long. LOL I keep suggesting Alaska first, which isn't the best weather but there is no long flight involved.
I was amazed at all there is to do in the Keys. A few of our friends said we would get bored if we stayed more than a couple of days. I disagree now that we've been there. Did I mention that we walked by a brothel? There was a "menu" on the front porch. I thought it was a restaurant so you can imagine my surprise when I read it and then saw the scantily dressed girls on the front porch!
Kathy---Please tell Vic Happy Belated Birthday and tell Chris Happy Birthday!! I hope Chris is feeling better! Did he have the flu that's going around? My Chris has had it for a week now and doesn't seem to be improving.
Lisa---We get vinylux on our toes and shellac on our fingers. Regular polish chips in one day on my hands! I'm lucky if my shellac lasts for a week. I usually get black with silver glitter on the tips or an accent nail with silver & glitter. The color I got this time was Sultry Sunset--its more mauve than pink but very pretty. I had them put a pink-tinted clear on my nails with white glitter over the entire nail. It turned out very nicely. Might be my new choice.
I had a dark blue on before--Midnight Swim and I liked it, too.
Kiran---I haven't done that Live workout but I'm definitely going to try it! I love a workout that makes arms and/or legs shaky!
Shelley --- please don't be afraid to say your thoughts! I think we are all tolerant of other people's beliefs.
Lisa---Good for Margaret for going! Did she get a hat? I am all for standing up for what you believe in but not when it includes threats against people, littering, and destroying someone else's personal property. I believe that Trump will listen to and will support women, if they give him a chance and stop being sore losers.
Kiran---Honestly, I am embarrassed by the way some of these women acted. I was horrified to see Donna Hylton was a speaker for the movement!! Jane Fonda aka Hanoi Jane was there!! Madonna and Ashley Judd weren't the only ones that actually hurt the women's movement, IMO. I think many women used the women's movement for their own agenda....bashing the president and men in general. Such a waste of an opportunity.
Now to my workouts!
Mon---Triceps/TM run/abs
Tues--TM walk/run (legs were sore) Biceps/ Abs
Wed--Premix #1 LB Only+ 200 firewalkers
TBGS Sh Only x 4 + lat band circles x 2 (love these circles--they are incredible burn material)
Thur--Incline Treadmill with weighted vest (My coach Chris suggested this workout --incline all the way to the steepest level with weighted vest at a speed of 2.5-3.00 for 1 mile.)
It was a great workout but not very enjoyable. LOL
Added some leg floor work and abs.
