Good Morning!:)

I just wanted to get the thread started while I was sitting here waiting for my coffee to finish brewing. m going to read yesterdays post to see what I missed...Ill be back in a bit:)

Man, I don't know whats wrong with DS today...but he isn't happy! Maybe he is cutting more teeth? Who knows! Prehaps he is just having a bad day....

Laine, how long did it take you to lose 26 lbs? I joined ww's 4 weeks after having my son and it took me about 4 monthes to lose 20 lbs.I also did it on line cause I didn't want the nosey people in town knowing what I was doing....nor did I have the time to go to meetings.I really enjoyed it and wasn't hungry. Mostly b/c I was breastfeeding and got lots of points. Ive been at this weight for a while but I am thinking about kicking it up a knotch soon and shedding a few more.

Belinda, Ive been through that before. About 4 yrs ago I had to go away for 3 weeks for training and it was my first time on a bus.It wasn't a bus either..not sure what you would call it.Looked like a bus but went fast like a subway train.Anyway there were all kinds of people on the bus...when I looked out the window there were people motioning things to me...i wasn't impressed and we took a cab back to the hotel!

Anyway...we went to a dinner theatre last night and it was soooo funny. And although i didn't eat alot I feel very bloated today. I would like to go for a long run but there are alot of hills out hiere which makes my run shorter...but I guess its more intense!

Gidge enjoy your run and babies have bad days too. I'm not sure why, but they do...it is probably his teeth.

Lainie...BUNS OF STEAL...now that brings back memories. LOL:7 You gave us a good idea to sprinkle cinnamon before brewing coffee...I wonder what a mint leave with the coffee will taste like.:9

Belinda It's nice to hear that you had a good time during the RT and I never take a bus. If I can't fly I will take the train.

So what w/o is everyone doing today?

Guess which one I did...here is a hint..."I wish that I had Jessie girl". That's right I finally did BM2 and it is my new favorite. I did the premix of cardio and weight (upper body toning). I LOVED IT! I wanted to stop and sing alone with some of those songs. Cathe must be around my age.

I am set for an UB premix of Muscle Max today, possibly followed by some kickmax. We'll see.

Robin, glad you enjoyed BM2, its one of my fav's to! I try not to do that one to often though cause I don't want to get sick of it! BodyMax was the first workout I owned with cathe and I did it and did it and did it! And now I don't!:) hahaha

Cheryl,your UB is gonna be fried! Im burnind just thinking about it. Enjoy!

Well, I went for my run. I left at 9 and returned at 10:17. There were a few hills, not as many as last time ( i went a different route) but the hills were looooooooooong ones! Im not sure how far I went but my mom needs to go to the store and we have to drive that way so Im gonna clock it off.

Good morning everyone.

Well, it's kind of embarrassing, but it took me a year to lose 26 lbs--though most of it came off between January and June of this year. I had lost about 15 lbs, then moved last September and packed a bit on again before getting serious again after New Year's. That's also when I picked up with more exercise again.

Robin, I love BM2, though I have yet to do the whole thing. I'm doing an easy rotation this week (sort of a rest week because I'm doing short and easy workouts every day) and then next week I'll start a tougher fat loss rotation--I think I'll attempt all of BM2 one day next week. Today it's a dance video I've owned for a while but haven't tried yet (sold most of my other dance workouts). This one is "Self: Dance Your Way Slim" with Kimberly Spreen.

The hardest thing about working out lately has been the hot weather. I don't have a/c so it's misery to do cardio in my hot house. I also usually work out while my youngest is napping, which is at the hottest time of day (dumb, I know).

OK, gotta get out to the mall before lunch time and run some errands. I'll CBL.

Afternoon Ladies

Its been a busy day for me,but Im finally getting a chance to check in!

I got through with my workout this morning...did a walk/run for about forty minutes then did MIS LB. Im tired,ive been running around all morning!

Lori-My DS is also having "one of those days" boy he has a temper! When he gets mad,he runs in the corner and pouts!Im glad you figured out why your remote wasn't working...the whole tv"section"(as my dh calls it)is "off limits" to me*rolls eyes*....reason being,I kinda broke his playstation two when we first got married:eek: and then blamed it on my poor dog! I was dusting,LOL! Oh well,he got over it!

Lainie-Losing weight slow is suppose to be the best way! It has taken me about two years to loose my weight and as I mentioned yesterday Im not quite finished yet! This last thirty pds is realy comming off slow :+. BTW, we have children the same age,My DD is five and my DS is two! How is your five year old liking school?

Belinda-I think I would of had a panic attack on the bus!Im sorry you had to go through something like that! Glad to hear you had a great time on the RT:)! It must be fun to have your DD come along with you. Do you guys workout together?

Robin-Jessies girl is one of my favorits parts to bm2,did you notice during the warmup when "the kids of america" comes on and cathe starts singing along during the "knee's around the world" part...too cute! shes so funny! I can only get through the combo's and the first power circiut,Im working on it;-)

Guess I'll finish my housework...boy,being a SAHM is tuff stuff on somedays! I feel like taking a nap;-)!

I forgot to mention my DD,I dropped her off at shcool this morning and she starts crying saying that she misses me(which came all of a sudden because she seems to love school)! so i walk her inside and her teacher said she has been crying a little every morning since school started:eek:,her teacher also said that it only last for a minute or two then she starts playing and talking!

It was sooooo hard for me to just walk away while my baby was crying...I got in the car and started crying too;( ;( !

Hi Lanine. Amelia is right about taking weight off slowly is the best way. The quicker you take it off, the higher your chances of gaining it back if your not vigilante with your eating and workouts. Belive me I KNOW! I have 3 of the "Steel" 2000 videos. I do pull them out occasionally. Especially when I need a change from a Cathe workout. They worked for me in the past so I didn't have the heart to get rid of them.

Well I took my Chapter 2 quiz and passed 100%! WOO HOO! I still want to go over some of the review exercises at the end of the chapter because there's a lot more to that than the actual quiz. So I'm going to put some terms on index cards and memorize while I'm walking on the TM. All I do is sit here and memorize so DH suggested seeing if I absorb anything while I'm walking! Let's hope! That will coincide perfectly with my plan of working out 2x a day again!

I haven't been on and don't know all that's going on with you guys, but I'm glad you're all here and I promise to be here too.

Gidge, hope the little guy is in a better mood. Cutting teeth sucks.

Amelia, hope your little one had a good day at school. I did that many a times walking away and crying. It'll get easier as some time goes by. Promise. Nice workout btw!

Hi Belinda! Still recovering from the RT? That's great you got to go. Stay away from the buses. Enjoy GSL.

Well off to memorize a few terms and clean the bathroom. Kids want to go in the pool, but I've got too much to do around here and they're playing in the neighborhood anyway. Maybe later I'll open it up.

Well, if losing weight slowly is good, then I'm great at that. :) I feel like I'm doing well just because there are so many heavy people in my family and I'm still one of the lightest (except for those who married in). My sister was already heavier than I am now before she even had kids, so I hope that means I'm not destined to be as big as she is. It doesn't help that growing up in the country in Texas we learned to eat all sorts of fatty fried foods and big portions. Seems like growing up my favorite veggies were even fried (fried okra, fried squash, etc.). I didn't actually struggle with my weight until my 20's, though, when I guess my metabolism slowed down or something. Then I had kids and it really became a struggle. I feel good about it now, though--like it's totally possible to get in shape and stay there--just a few more months, hopefully.

Amelia, my 5-year old doesn't start school until Sept. 6th, but he's pretty excited about it. He'd been going to nursery school 3 afternoons a week and never had any trouble with me walking away and leaving him there. Crossing my fingers that it will be the same at "big school" as we call it, but you never know. My 2-year old will start 3 mornings a week at the nursery school in Sept. and I hope he is also happy there. We had a visit once in the spring (but I stayed in there with him) and I don't think he would have noticed if I'd walked out--he was really having fun.

Kali, I think I had the whole collection of the "of Steel 2000" videos and loved them. They were my introduction to aerobics. I also had some Tae Bo, though I was always a bit flustered following Billy Blanks' cueing. He at least burned a few more calories than my other videos. I ended up selling all my old Buns of Steel stuff (actually gave most of it away since they were on VHS and don't sell well these days), but then I ended up buying Legs, Hips & Thighs of Steel on DVD which includes 2 of the old workouts. After doing Cathe a while, I did the Hips & Thighs one day for old times' sake and it was so easy--I only burned 150 calories for the entire workout and could have sung an opera while doing it.

BTW, Kali, what is it you're studying?

Lainie, I hear you on the workouts being easy. I have some Tae Bo too. Don't care for it much tho. I really don't do much besides Cathe and my TM or walk outside. I am currently studying Medical Terminology, Physiology, Pharmacology, and Pathology. Once I'm done with this course I'll move on to the Medical Transcription course. I want to work full time from home. I have 2 DS's, 9 and 8 in about a month, and it's so hard with school and stuff. So I decided to take a home course. It's been tough so far but I'm getting there.

Well I didn't get the bathroom cleaned yet. Or get to do the TM. I studied and let the boys go in the pool and then had to get dinner. So I'm thinking 30 min. on the TM. The bathroom will be there tomorrow. (just a little dirtier right)?

BTW! My eating was right on today! No crap whatsover and super clean. It's almost 7 here now so I am calling it a night as far as eating goes. If I really need to I'll have a hard boiled egg white later or a slice of turkey breast but absolutley NO CARBS!!! LOL!
