Hey just wondering is it me or others feel this way? It seems like I. Get a nnew workout I do it its fun its hard. Love it. Then the next time I do it it really seems harder. It has happened with cf, AT, TTM, AB, I mean really it seems more difficult each time. I wonder if I'm losing strength or if it is the excitement of a new workout makes endorphines kickk in and hellps. Or these type of wo designed just that way. Like, U can not out grow them lol.
Love to hear ur. Alls thought and comments and experience on this.. what's ur opinion or take on it?

Happens to me to. Maybe it's the excitement from a new workout, or maybe it's because since I'm still learning the moves, I'm not working as hard as I could be. :)

It seems like it takes until I have done a workout at least 5 times before I can sense that it is actually getting easier.

Yup, happens to me often :).

The first time trying out a workout is more like an initiation period (so to speak). You're all excited, endorphins are flowing, you're trying to process all the new moves and get a feel for everything. I think the focus is more on learning the routine. When it's done, you're like "oh that was fun. Not too bad. I totally rocked that workout ;)".

The 2nd time and beyond, hits you like a ton of bricks. You're like "oh wait. This is TOUGH. Was this same workout I did last??!!". Reason being *I think* is because the focus has somewhat shifted from learning the routine to putting maximum effort into it. The nostalgia of new workout wears off, and you're left with the reality of it.

As your body becomes accustomed to the workout, it get's easier. So kinda like a hill: you hit your peak and then gradually come back down :D. That's my take on it :p.

BTW, Crossfire left me this way .

That's what I was thinking ..I can ddo it first timd because I'm excited .. but second and third time I'm frustrated. But I am new to cathe well fairly new and I tell u what I have gotten a lot of dvds in last 6 months I havnt done any of her wo more tthen fpur times cause I jog to. So I guess I need to make myself do one for a while. But like I said in a different post I feel like I want to do all her wo all day! I can't seem to do onee for awhile I feel I'm missing out on others lol like a kid. Eating to much candy.! Gladd it isn't just me. I thought it would b interesting to hear others view.

Renee,
The 4 you named: CF, AB, AT, and TTM are my favorites for a challenge!! They never get easier; there's always something that challenges me! The more you do them, the better shape you get in, and you can jump higher or squat deeper, etc! Don't get discouraged! Embrace the fact that you have the guts to put it in the DVD player again and give it your all !

No Renee, you aren't getting weaker. I experience the same thing all the time. And added to this, after the first time, knowing what's ahead, the dread factor can kick in and that makes it a whole other ball game.

It was definitely like that for me the second time I tried Horizontal Conditioning Bootcamp. I was like "aack! What happened?" LOL I do think though that as we get more fit we put more into it, like nanbo said, we'll squat deeper, jump higher, just overall try to get more out of it. The first time through you probably don't manage to get in all the reps or go as deep because you aren't sure what's coming up. As you learn the routine, you can start earlier rather than missing the first few seconds of a drill or whatever you're doing. That can make a big difference!

Also, one thing to make us feel better...some of it may depend on where you are in your menstrual cycle. I read somewhere that for many women, our strength and endurance will dip a bit during ovulation. So if nothing else...blame it on ovulation! :p

Lol yes actually I really could say that. Well there ya go... I say its that and Cathe? Is genius with her evil laugh lol
