Hi Sharon!
This workout is awesome - so much variety. The cardio sections consist of some great drills that get you breathing pretty hard in that one minute! It incorporates kickbox in both the lower body toning as well as the cardio segments. I loved the core work also - non traditional ab work and it feels great.

My sister has done this video with just a 12 lb body bar and 5 lb hand weights and I do it full throttle, so it is actually pretty adaptable for various fitness levels.

I think you will love it!

Take care, Lynn.

I love it also. And if you have the dvd, you can do one of the premixes also. I just did the one where you leave out the core work. My abs were sore, and I was a little short on time, so it worked great.

Hi Sharon,
This is one of my favorite work outs out of the serires. You are going to love it. It is something you can grow with. If you have DVD you have to give the Bonus workout of BC & ME, it is a great/tough workout.

Terri

I LOVE BC!!! I do the cardio only premix sometimes as a warm up for LBP...FUN!!

Robin

P.S. I second Terri on the BC&ME Bonus workout, it IS great...I did it this morning!!

Bootcamp has so much variety in it that the time just flies by. I always feel thoroughly worked when I'm finished with this one! As someone said before, it's adaptable to your fitness level - even adaptable to your energy level on any given day.

:)

Boot Camp is my fave of the new crop, and get the DVD if you have a DVD player. If you don't have a DVD player, get a DVD player and get the DVD.

Hi Sharon,
I did this one for the first time today, and was a little apprehensive beforehand, as I had previewed it and it looked tough!! However, I really enjoyed it. You move from one thing to the next quickly so you don't get time to really think about how tired you are, LOL!! I must admit, I did most of the lower body work without weights as this was my first run through (I also had a baby 6 weeks ago so am still easing back into things!). I did have to stop at one point during the airborne plyo jacks, due to laughing so hard, as every time I jumped, I kept farting just from the sheer effort:eek:  !!. It seems it's not only my pelvic floor muscles I need to work on:7 !!.
You will really enjoy this workout - it is tough, but still very do-able!
Have fun!

Hello all - Is there any step work in boot camp (as I am not a stepper). Also does one have to have a ball or can dbells be a substitute? Thanks

This is my favorite in the Intensity Series. Get the DVD if you can as you can use the premixes with other workouts as well as the regular workout. For example, I have been using the core premix with PUB while struggling to learn the core exercises on the stability ball!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this workout. Its so much fun and even though it is super intense, nothing seems too bad because you are never doing it for more than 1 minute. So you can just keep pushing yourself very hard and telling yourself to just hang on for that minute, and then the next minute, etc.

This is one of those workouts you can start with by modifying and then have it as a goal to be able to do the whole workout. I find I still take bigger rests between each of the sets because it takes me a little longer to catch my breath, but I have only a few modifications left.

Let us know what you think if you get it!

I've used it a couple of times, and really like it! The time goes by so quickly!

The only thing I'm not wild about is going from standing to lying down in some parts of the workout. Next time I do it, I'm planning to do the "all but abs" option, followed by the "abs only" option, to avoid this problem.

Of all the new Intensity Series, this is the one I reach for last. I did take someones suggestion to do the core work all at the end and that REALLY helped. I liked BC so much better that way. I think getting down and then back up those eight times was messing with my "flow" somehow. I LOVE, absolutely LOVE all the others in this series. I want to do IMAX-2 all the time and PUB and PLB are great. I find I really have to talk myself into BC, but like I mentioned, last night was the first time I did the core at the end. Let's see if it grows on me.

Where are the Premixes? What option?

This may sound silly because I've never tried the Pre Mixes of this DVD.

Where are the 8 Premix Combos? Is is under the "Mix and Match" option? I didn't see them when I did this workout yesterday. The options I saw were, "Play Workout", "Chapters", "Mix and Match" and "Bonus Combo". I could have sworn I chose the "Mix and Match" Option and didn't see the list of premixes. Maybe I wasn't awake enough.

RE: Where are the Premixes? What option?

Oh, duh. I just came home and found it! I didn't notice the "Premix" option last night. I was soooooo tired!

RE: Where are the Premixes? What option?

Thank you all so much for your wonderful feedback and suggestions. And, I have taken your advice and ordered the DVD. It sounds like it has wonderful choices to keep things hopping!

Thanks again guys, it's always good to know you're out there!!

Sharon

BC is a great workout. But beware...it is high impact. I like the way it changes up often and the core work is super. The time just flies by.

You can modify any thing that is too challenging. I recommend it mainly because it is so different. BC is a nice change form regular cardio or strength workouts!
