Who was your childhood crush?

Bruce Springsteen when I was FOUR, lol!! When he would sing that line from I'm on Fire that goes "Hey little girl, is your daddy home? Did he go and leave you all alone," I would nod and think wow Bruce understands me (my dad was at work and I'd be home with mom, haha).

Also, David Bowie in Labrynth (yes, I was a strange child)...later on it was Joey McIntyre from New Kids on the Block, Christian Slater, Jason Preistly, Johnny Depp & Richard Grieco (let's not go into why I was watching 21 Jumpstreet when I was in 4th grade!!).

What a fun thread! :D

Some of my crushes were (in no particular order:))

Scott Baio - does anyone remember the spin-off of Happy Days he was in called Joni loves Chachi? I recorded every episode. I still have one of his albums. He wasn't a very good singer

John Schneider -Bo Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard.

Menudo - Anybody remember who these guys are? I had all their albums (even the Spanish ones and I don't speak Spanish)

Michael Jackson - I know he's pretty scary now but when Thriller came out he used to thrill me. :D

EXCEPT Peter Criss (sorry Lori)
I didn't even know who he was with all that stuff on his face.
I know. I think it's a bizarre thing for me...I dig masks, helmets, and certain uniform stuff. This might explain why the goaltender is always my favorite guy on any hockey team.

I wonder if I can talk DH into wearing a Spartan helmet. Rawrr.

Wait...I just thought of another guy: Steve Perry from Journey. Not the best looking guy in the world, but man could he sing! That was enough for me.

I was head over heels for the Bay City Rollers as well. I'm tall, so my pants were always short (even in 7th grade), so I used to have my mom sew plaid on the bottom just like the BCR's.

S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT!! :p

For me, no actual people, just characters: The Fonz, Han Solo, Trapper John McIntyre, Johnny Gage from Emergency!.

Kirk Cameron, Uncle Jesse from Full House, Prince, Micheal Jackson (missed on that one, huh?), the guy who played BF Nick in Family Ties (such a rebel!) and Cary Elwes when he was in The Princess Bride. The man in black. Swoon.

Nan

Don Johnson in Miami Vice. Although, thinking back, he probably had really stinky feet since he never wore socks in those shoes!!:p

I loved Ricky Shroeder. He was so cute!!! :)

Also, when the movie, 'the Outsiders' came out, I loved all of them! Matt Dillon was always my favorite.

All of the above

EXCEPT Peter Criss (sorry Lori)

I forgot all about Leif Garrett!!! Is he still alive???

Didn't anybody love the guy from Eight is Enough??? The older brother. I can't remember who he was

ellie

Leif Garrett is still alive. I think he has a drug problems.

Grant Goodeve was the Eight is a Enough actor.

Pssst -- y'all better be careful when discussing those Osmond bros. ;) Word is that one Donald Osmond Jr -- son of none other than he who is referenced here is employed by a Catheite who is a fairly regular poster. So your comments MAY get back to the big guy! HeeHee.:p

Oh - and mine were indeed Donny Osmond and earlier than that Davie Jones. HA.

ETA - when I lived in Ca John Stamos was dating my next door neighbor - he was there all the time.

That is one of my all time favorite movies.

"we'll do it for Johnny man, we'll do it for Johnny!!" -Dally

I loved Ralph Macchio-johnny cade.

When I was in kindergarten-my crushes were Davey Jones from the Monkees and Shaun Cassidy (never did get into David). I once wrote a letter to Shaun asking for him to marry me, but he never answered. He just sent me a picture of him and Parker Stevenson and Nancy Drew- Haha

Then I moved on to Duran Duran, Ralph Macchio, Patrick Swayze, Jon Bon Jovi.

Now my latest crush at 40 is Rob Thomas, oh and still Jon Bon Jovi (he seems to get better with age doesn't he!)

chrissy

Great Post Laura-you always come up with good ones.

Lee Majors - I used to pretend to be the Bionic Woman and run in slow motion:D:D

I have a t-shirt that says "I'm not slow, I'm Bionic" Thought that was awesome. Not too fast of a runner. But I guess its over some of the younger people's heads. My 13 yr old nephew said he didn't get it.
