Who else Hates The Time Change?

hoho

Cathlete
I really dread the time change and how it gets dark so early. I swear I am having a panic attack over it already. Not looking forward to it being dark by 5PM and the short days. How do you ladies deal with it?

I like the extra hour of sleep for the first couple of days and then I just spend my winter in the dark. I already run in the early morning in the dark anyway, and it's rarely sunny in the winter in Toronto so it just seems dark all day. I walk to work in the dark and I walk home in the dark. I feel like a Canadian vampire from November to March. Needless to say, I take Vitamin D! It doesn't really bother me, though. Come spring, I always want to be outside in the sun.

I definitely like getting that extra hour of sleep (when we 'spring ahead' in the spring, it takes me days to recover and not feel tired), but I don't like leaving work and having it be so dark. It makes me feel like going to bed (and it's only 5 or 6 o'clock!).

I have to say I LOVE the extra hr of sleep. It makes me feel so rested. I also like the fact that when I leave for work it will be light again. Toward the end of summer we lose the light in the morning anyway and this morning it was light at 6:30...But in saying all that. I will miss the long days. Too Bad we can not compromise!

I love the extra hour of sleep too. I also like the fact that it won't be as dark in the morning as it had been for the past month or so; it was really hard for me to wake up for work when it was still pitch black outside at 6:45! The flip side is I hate that it's dark outside when I leave work at night. On lunch breaks I make sure to go outside for a walk so I can enjoy some sunlight!

I don't mind the change in this direction. I like the extra sleep time and will get to see the sunrise again on my morning walks, at least for a while. The downside is being hungry an hour before meal time for a few days!

Now the spring change, where we LOSE that hour sleep and my morning walk is in pitch darkness, is the one I dread.

My cats hear you on that one: they are not at all happy with the change to their feeding schedule (which they want to go by 'tummy time' and not 'clock time', LOL!)

Yep, I just fed my doggies for the evening. They usually eat a bit later but don't understand the "fall back" concept :p

I actually relish going back to standard time, I hate it being dark in the mornings!! It just feels right to me. But I'm usally the odd man out on most things :).

I wish they would quit messing with the clocks! There's no real need for daylight savings time anymore! It's defunct concept!

Even though I loved the extra hour of sleep last night, this time change has really screwed me up. I'm exhausted today and haven't done much of anything.

It's just a tough, tough adjustment. I just try to keep my usual schedule. When I was done working out tonight I was thinking how late it must be and it was only 6:30...boo.

i have trouble seeing at night from lasic surgery. its like spider lights. its hard to tell the distance between cars.so,i sometimes dont get to go to the grocery because of that. yuck!

I love this time change. Everything "seems" later but it is "earlier." All day I looked at the clock feeling it was much later than it was. I loved seeing it was much earlier!

Going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark... sucks. After the joyful added hour of the first day, coupled with the annoyance of having to run around changing all the clocks (what a pain), it's just six months of drear. From this point on it's just going to get darker and darker.

I don't even understand why they still do it.

Wow. I'm a lot of laughs tonight ;).
