Is anyone here crazy enough to do this? I got up today and didn't know which video I was going to do.For some strange reason, I decided to tackle the almighty killer.Of course it nearly killed me at the end, I couldn't possibly jump anymore. It got to the point where I didn't know if my legs were going to climb one more step.
I enjoyed it tough! It was a great workout.I only do this one a few times a year.Odd though, I can run for an hour and not feel like I am totally drained. But this one sucks ever last bit of energy out of me.I try to forgot what it is about before I put it in again.Needless to say, I won't forget tomorrow what I did today so I think I can put it at the bottom of the shelf again:eek:

I always do the whole thing, and while I agree that its tough, I actually enjoy it more than some other shorter workouts b/c of the way you ease into it gradually with the low/moderate/high intensity and then the step routine. The challenge at the end is rough, but I feel so good when I do it. Don't put it at the very bottom of the shelf..the more you do it, the easier it will be and it really is great to break a plateau! Good luck!

I agree!

I used to think this one was impossible but now I can get through to the end without modifying or stopping. I do have to say that it is the toughest Cathe workout.

I probably do MIC twice a month (just did it this morning). I mostly run and spin for cardio. I actually start the workout at the medium intensity hi/lo portion and go to the end and then do the intensity blast a second time (I got the idea to do it a second time from Nancy C).

I love MIC and definitely find it challenging, but it doesn't wipe me out like running does.

I use MIC a couple of times a month during the summer to keep me in shape for running in the winter. It's really tough. I don't modify it and I think it is tougher than Imax because it never lets up. At least Imax has recoveries between the blasts.

Would you believe I could actually get through this workout better when I was pregnant than now?!? After two babies in two years, I had lost just about all my endurance and strength. I have been working myself back up though. Two weeks ago, I did the hi/lo 3x in the week. I know that's more than recommended. But that hi/lo is a fat buster! But curses, my flat feet. I was trying to increase my endurance but also get rid of unwanted abdominal fat. When I do the whole workout, I take a longer break after hi/lo(about five minutes), and then oddly enough the step portion feels a touch too slow. But, congratulate me, I am back up on eight-inches! I feel so proud after being down on six for nearly three years. I'm a fairly late rotation convert; I've done my own for this month, and MIC is on it four times!

I'm working MIC in once a week... I love it... by the end, I feel like I'm flying! I like workouts that don't spend too much time on one thing. I'm not quite doing it all high-impact, but I bet I'm only a few weeks away. I believe MIC can take a lot of credit for the fact that my running is improving.

I try to do it once a week. I love it. I love Cathe's hi-lo so much and I love how this is paired with step. I ordered this when it was first released and I must admit, for a couple years I would just do one section at a time, paired with weight work. Just the past year or two did I start doing the whole thing at once. I was scared of it for a long time! :+

I try to do the hi-lo part once a week... that's the only pure hi-lo I like (I only do Cathe BTW). I do not do the step portion because I think it has too much TIFTing. Furthermore, to me, Cathe other steps are much more fun. I usually do MIC hi-lo, then do 10 mins of Rhythmic Step Challenge.

One day I will own MIC! I'm so jealous of you guys!!! I am making myself not order it, because I preordered the Body Blast series. I want it NOW, but it's not like I don't have enough to keep me busy...tee hee!;( ;)

Oh go ahead and get MIC, it's a MUST. I love that video. I confess to doing it in two parts always but it's a fav of mine. Besides it's one video and not all that expensive and you'd have it b4 you get the Body Blast, it'll help get your endurance up for that new series.

:p }(

Anyone who does this workout on a regular basis has my undying admiration. I am simply not up to it, though I can do the workouts separately. If I try and do the whole thing, my feet really start to hurt. Since I'm an older exerciser and not getting any younger, this may be the best I can do, but I'll be there leading the cheers for those who can do it. It's an incredible workout. When Cathe said
"Maxium Intensity Cardio" she wasn't kidding.

I can get through MIC easily with an 8 inch step now, but when I began I could not even get through the floor part.

I don't care for the music of MIC or the outfits they wore.

But it is one heck of a killer cardio workout.

The only problem is I get bored with it. By the middle of the step part I am not tired, I am bored. It's the music, I think.
