Which Cathe when not feeling well?

Yesterday I was running a low fever and felt nauseated for most of the day. I slept most of the day and only had some soup and a waffle (I know that's weird but it's the only thing I thought I could stomach), I feel much better today and don't have a fever. However, I don't feel 100%. Just curious what Cathe tapes you would recommend for those days when you don't feel quite right.

I would suggest perhaps not working out at all? If you feel the need to do something, how about a CTX cardio, or Cardio and Weights.

I'd suggest either rest, a light walk, or a yoga or other more relaxing workout (which rules out Cathe for now!). Even though you feel better today, if you overdo by trying a tough workout, you may interfere with your body's recovering from whatever you had yesterday.

Cardio & Weights???!!! That's a pretty tough one for someone who isn't feeling well, IMO!!

I usually do Step Heat when I'm not feeling 100%. That, or I'll do one of my easier non-Cathe tapes...

Kids who have had fever have to be off fever for at least 24 hours before going back to school and resuming normal activities. So, i apply this ruling to adults too, since kids are even more resilient than we are. I would agree with kathryn here. No Cathe today. Walk, stretch, yoga. Give your body the rest it needs. be gentle with yourself for just one more day OK?

Hope you get better soon,

Clare

I agree about getting the rest you need, but when you're ready to get back into it, Step Heat is a great choice for cardio and Push Pull is a good strength choice. Hope you feel better soon!:)

Thanks for all the advice! I literally did not move from the couch yesterday so all I can think about is working out. I think I will skip working out for today and take my dog for a short walk instead.

Back on the horse tomorrow though! Thanks again.

When I'm not feeling too well, but still want to work out, I do Cardio and Weights. It's fun and not too tough.

I wouldn't exercise right away. I would wait one more day and do a light program. I do Cardio and Weights after I have been sick or just a 30 minute workout. Why make yourself sicker. Drink plenty of water and make sure you have some energy. Why would you even want to exercise when you don't feel well??

Cathe's workouts are tough. I wouldn't do any of them if I were sick or feeling like I'm getting there. I'd do some basic yoga for relaxation, and that's about it.

I agree with Pinky..even Step Heat would be alot if i'm not feeling well..thats just me of course but my body will say no way to Cathe if i'm not up to par..

I would have to agree with Jillybean, scm and JMFrame, with Cardio and Weights. It's a good easy cardio workout with upbeat music and some light weights. The abs at the end are effective also.
