At home for me, because DH doesnt get back from Singapore until late that day so we will only have about 3 hours together before the clock ticks over to 05

It will be really weird because usually we are out in the city by Sydney Harbour Bridge for the Fire Works with the other massive amount of people, but with so little time left of 04, it will be just us two, a glass of wine, and the telly switched on to all the festivities happening across the world.

Im happy with that

I will be having a lobster tail with baked stuffed potatoes, some kind of vegetable, some wonderful bread from Montana Mills, and champagne in front of the fireplace with my SO and dog.

Can't wait!!

Staying home as usual, I haven't been out in probably 10 years. The last New Years Eve I went out was when I was 22 (I am 32 now). I went to a Greg Allman concert.

Now I have children and I start yawning at 9 o'clock.

Marion....I do believe my partying days are over!!

I'm 45 and on New Year's eve I'll be making a vegey pizza, maybe having some Soy Ice cream, watching the new year come in at 9:00 as I live in Calif and I have a satellite, so I can watch the festivities in New York early. On New Years Day, I will be running my 12th marathon. Can't think of a better way to start the year!!...:+ :D }( ....Carole

Pretty much what Lori said. Young children do that do you. Early to bed and early to rise.

Me and DH will be performing with our band for a NYE party at the Tenaya Lodge near Yosemite National Park. We will enjoy a lovely dinner and stay the night in one of the suites there;-) .

We'll be spending our day at the Music City Bowl;( My son's flag football team won free tickets and that's the sacrifice I have to make.:p

For the evening, we'll be renting movies. I like spending this evening with my kids. Maybe they'll actually make it to Midnight this year.

I love the marathon idea, Mckmain! Wow, I wish I could do that, but my knees are too damaged from a car accident in my teens. I'm sure I'll work out like a crazed primate on New Year's Day though. I haven't planned my workouts that far ahead, but unless it's a rest day, it'll be crazy.

I have to say, there is no better time to kiss that dang old dog than now. If you saw me with my old dog, you'd think I didn't have a daughter or a DH. I am so in love.

DH & I figured out a LONG time ago that we don't like going out on NY Eve. Way too many drunks, contrived "parties", & it's usually snowing or sleeting here.

We rent movies, get Chinese, a really nice bottle of champagne & some good chocolate...then spend the evening watching movies & pigging out with the help of our Diana Dane. Every once in awhile we'll flip over to TV & see what's happening around the world.

Ruth:)

Wedding at 2pm est - Reception at 6 pm est - Break in the New Year at the reception of the last hold out bachelor friend of my DH. I will miss my 10 year old DS. He will be at his Aunti's for night with his favorite cousin though and probably not missing us at all. It is going to be a blast!!!

I am so envious! Yosemite is one of my favorite places on the planet, and it sounds like a fantastic place to spend New Years!
