What's the WORST movie you've seen?

Loved "Field of Dreams," and "Pulp Fiction" and "Fargo" are on my all-time favorite list.

I agree with the person who didn't like "Forrest Gump"---I think I rolled by eyes 1,000 times in that movie. It's like they thought the whole audience had Forrest's I.Q.

I really didn't like "You've Got Mail." I thought Tom Hanks' character was just a jerk. The whole big corporate soulless bookstore owner trampling the smaller independent with heart, and then winning this woman whose whole life and link to her dead mother were in said store just made me cringe. I was hoping that Meg Ryan would slap him silly at the end, right before telling him to go to hell. I did like "Little Shop Around the Corner," the original film it was based on. James Stewart's character was much more redeemable than Hanks'.

Oh, Nancy, I hate disagreeing with you!!!

I thought the meeting on-line thing was cute, but they never really told us how they met did they? (You've seen it so many times, I'm sure you can tell me!!!). And, of course, having New York City as a "co-star" is always a plus. I guess I'm such a sucker for mom & pop shops (ESPECIALLY bookstores) that I just can't get past it.

Where is that garden, anyway?

Tete, we need to have at least ONE different opinion, so we can tell ourselves apart. :7

Actually, I think the upper west side IS the star of that movie. It has never looked so friendly and cozy as it does in that movie, and I just love it. The garden is in Riverside Park around 91st Street and Riverside Drive.

I too bemoan the loss of the small bookstores.

>I loved Napoleaon Dynamite. I loved pulp fiction. AND Dum and
>Dumber is one of the best!!! LOL

I agree!!! It took me awhile to like Dumb and Dumber but now I find it hilarious!!

I have to say that "Napoleon Dynomite" was the worst I have ever seen in my whole life LOL. but then again I named my new puppy Napoleon Dynomite LMAO!!!

Okay, I liked "the good girl", and "napolean dinamite".

I hated, "Goonies", "I heart huckabees", "the cable guy", "the pallbearer", And that weird one with Nicloas Cage where he plays himself and his twin brother, he's a writer and winds up in some swamp looking for a special plant that is highly addictive, etc. STUPID! And that one with Diane Lane and Richard Gear where she cheats on him, HATED that one. So many bad movies out there, I am lucky I have no time for them so if I see a movie it's usually a good one with a lot of good reviews.

The Nicholas Cage movie was "Adaptation" and the plant was some sort of orchid. It also starred Meryl Streep. Those are two fabulous talants that were totally wasted on that movie.

"Unfaithful" is the Richard Gere/Diane Lane movie. I liked it, frankly.

The only movie I've ever walked out was The Game with Michael Douglas. And I actually like him, and still, it was just sooo not to my taste. The other day I was watching with my sick daughter Notting Hill, and it earned a "bad cheesy romantic nothing" title in my book too. Not as bad as the Game though.
I like Fargo too. Turns your stomach but wonderfully done, and Frances McDormand was absolutely wonderful. For me Pulp Fiction is not a bad movie it's just too bloody to my taste. I don't dislike Tarantino, but I'm not first in line for his movies.

Maybe I missed it, but has anyone listed Eyes Wide Shut or Vanilla Sky? This was when my Tom Cruise "actor I can't stomach" kicked in.

I also agree with Borat. It was distasteful on so many levels, and I'm not a prude. I love how Pam Anderson had to "explain" some things to her boys before they watched the movie. They must be so proud of their mom. "How do you know Tommy Lee's really your dad?" "Well, I have the proof of my conception on DVD."

How about Dances with Wolves? Kevin Costner, I just don't get.

Brokeback Mountain. FARGO (I live 30 miles from Fargo and saw NO humor in it) and most recently I wasted $20 buying "The Dead Girl" it had a super star cast (Brittney Murphy, I LOVE her) and it was HORRIBLE. It said on the back "one of the top 10 movies from 2006" got me to wondering were there only 5 movies made in '06?????

Judge Dredd. It was horrid! The guy I was dating at the time just raved about it. Needless to say the relationship didn't last long.

I didn't like Napoleon Dynamite, but love the one-liners from that movie. My DD can do a dead-on ND impersonation. LOL
