What's the WORST movie you've seen?

Defintely Titanic...it was soooo long and dragged on and on. A movie I walked out of...The Crow. It was awful. Also, awful was Star Gate. Those are the ones that come to mind.

Now, some GREAT films I've seen are: Love Actually, The Departed, Kissing Jessica Stein, Clerks, Brokeback Mountain (no matter what your personal views are on same-sex relationships, it was a beautiful and tragic love story), Breakfast At Tiffany's, Schindler's List, Diary Of A Mad Black Woman, About A Boy...I have seen way more good movies than bad.

Another good one for it's message: Super Size Me. Very enlightening.

I'm pretty open to a lot of different types of movies, but two stinkers immediately come to mind:
One was a comedy with John Cuzac (whom I usually like), but it was a really bad comedy (with "Summer" in the title...I've blocked it out because it was so bad). It's the only movie I've every walked out on, and that was about 15 minutes in.

The other was some sci-fi/horror movie with a big-breasted vampire-like alien woman walking around. I have no idea what the title was.

Oh, a third: some vampire movie with Nicolas Cage in. I usually like horror/thrillers, and I like Cage, but this movie bit the big one (and I was astonished to later see some positive critiques of it).

And yet a fourth!
"The unforgiven" (or maybe just "Unforgiven" whichever is NOT the Clint Eastwood movie). A horror movie about an ancient Native American curse, with Jack Elam (a western character actor, with bulging eyes, one of which is always looking off to the side). Elam was only in the movie for about 5 minutes---just enough time to guide some hapless travelers to some place in the mountains---but got top billing. He was probably the best actor in the film! I only watched about 20 minutes before ejecting it from my VCR.

Nicholas Cage in Con Air -- Nic Cage cannot do a southern accent.

I don't watch too many movies -- so I get to stay away from the bad ones.

Lorie, it appears we have the same taste in movies. I loved Love Actually, About a Boy and Brokeback Mountain.

Lorie, did you also love Notting Hill? I loved the scene where all Hugh Grant's wacko friends pile into the car and speed thru the streets to get to Anna before she leaves. His gross roommate, his crazy sister, his friend in the wheelchair, etc? I just love that part. :7 Hugh Grant has been in a lot of good movies.

For a newer movie, Tenacious D was HORRIBLE!!! Jack Black is kinda strange anyway but this one was AWFUL! (and no, I did NOT choose it!)

Ooh, and I see someone else didn't like the Good Girl w/ Jennifer Aniston. That was horrible too!

For movies that my dh thinks are hilarious, I think The 'Burbs is absolutely stupid. (Tom Hanks, '80s movie)

Pulp Fiction:
I agree with the above poster on this movie. I think you and I are in a serious minority, but I thought the movie was just awful, meandering, and just gross. I don't see how anyone can say they enjoy that movie!!

Sideways:
I see someone else posted this, too... I just couldn't believe it turned out to be so plain, uninteresting, and dry, after all of the 5-star reviews it got from all the critics and everyone I knew that had seen it.

Secretary:
With Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Spader. Holy weird. It's billed as a "comedy" and a "love story for the ages"... apparently these people weren't watching the same movie I was. It was dark and depressing (strong themes of sadism and self-mutilation), and not a single part of it was even the tiniest bit funny.

Night at McCool's:
I think I was one of 17 people across the United States to see this disaster of a movie. It had Liv Tyler and Matt Dillon, and it was one of the most pointless, plotless, senseless movies I've ever seen.

Queen of the Damned:
The sequel to the "Interview with a Vampire" deal... I rented it because at least 10 people that I'd spoken to RAVED about it. Ha! About 20 minutes into it, DH and I were laughing so hard at the awful special effects and ludicrous acting, we had to shut it off... it's not really supposed to be a comedy!

>>>>>OK...the first one to come to mind is a made for TV movie from the mid-90s called "The Beast". It was originally a book written by Peter Benchley ("Jaws" author) about a man-eating giant squid in the Pacific Northwest.

It DOES sound promising. I may rent it!

I was one of the 14 who watched "Night at McCool's"! I really liked this movie, though.

My Stinkers:

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil - it was so bad. I kept waiting for something to happen and it never did.

Miami Vice - the movie. I really, really wanted to walk out of the theater, but DH wanted to give it a chance. By the time he agreed to leave we'd passed the "refund" point.

Borat - I turned it off after 20 minutes.

Napoleon Dynamite - I did not get it. Couldn't get past 30 minutes.

I could go on and on. I watch a lot of movies.

WITHOUT A DOUBT

STARSHIP TROOPERS--Worst movie EVER! I have ragged my husband for years for talking me into seeing it. We travel to a planet to kill giant bugs? Why not just blow up the planet where the giant bugs live? GEEZ

SPIDERMAN 1,2,and 3. Tobey Maguire is so oily and I hate bad computer graphics in movies. Again why do I let my husband talk me into these things?

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA MOVIE. Okay my husband didn't suggest this one but it sucked!!! Bad acting and terribly "okay" singing which is not good for a musical.

I think Hugh is perfectly adorable. Love Actually had SO many wonderful stories woven into it. I absolutely love it and it's probably the only movie I can watch again and again.

I liked Hugh in Notting Hill, but I am not a big fan of Julia Roberts. She kind of annoys me. Don't know why.

Oh gosh, I really liked Fargo!

The worst I can remember was Ghoulies from the 80's. It tried to capitalize on the popularity of Gremlins. The trailers for the movie showed these creatures doing cute, crazy things. The movie ended up very Satanic - just awful! The creatures didn't really have much to do with anything.

You know a movie is bad when there is dead silence as people walk out of the theater.

You didn't like Fargo? That Frances McDormand character is one of my favorite movie characters of ALL TIME.

I agree, I liked Fargo too. Especially Frances McDormand. I think she's always good! Now Starship Troopers (with Denise Richards), that movie was JUST AWFUL! I mean AWFUL! I'm embarrassed to say I've even see that one. Stinker city!

When my DH likes a movie, he watches it over and over and over. So, if the movie is slightly annoying it eventually becomes a movie I hate. Fortunately, we often like the same movies, and I didn't mind watching Love Actually or You've Got Mail for the 20th time. HOWEVER.....could someone please gather every copy of Field of Dreams ever made for a giant bonfire please????? x(
