I've seen your pictures here and you are beautiful with the long hair. I wouldn't dare cut it. And to heck with the ex. You can't miss your sons game because of his wife's comfort. That's insane that he even asked you to miss a basketball game for her comfort.

I have not read all the responses, 'cause I'm in a hurry right now.
But, about the hair...
I am petite with long hair too. And I hate when someone tells me that I should cut my hair! It's my hair and I like it like that! (Well, they usually implore or disrespectfully try to obligate to get it cut...) I don't understand how so much people can't find long, healthy hair attractive. It's usually women and gay hairdressers, though. If I would look that bad, my husband would just tell me: "Please, get a haircut or something!", but my dh likes it too.

IMO you look very good with your long hair. He probably wants you to cut your hair so you don't attract other males.

You are lucky that you are rid of him. Oh, I am 5'2" tall, and I have hair that is quite long. Your long hair looks lovely on you, and those silly rules were made to be broken. I looked at your albums, and you and your DH are a gorgeous couple.
