What do you wake up to?

Funny, with so many of us waking up to pets. On the weekends when there is no alarm set, Vlad is the alarm. He sits and stares at me until I wake up (he is up with the sun) then I tell him to go get daddy up to let him out. Then he goes and nose bumps DH's toes until he gets up and lets him out.

My inner alarm usually wakes me up between 5 and 5:15. Either that or one of the cats walks across my head. :)

Me too. The dogs don't even want to know me. They just open one eye and go right back to sleep. I love being the only one up in my house early in the morning. The cats get up, eat and go straight back to bed.

I have a "daylight" alarm clock which I love because it gradually lightens the room for 30 minutes, and then a quiet beep goes off. On my days off, my dog starts whining and licking my toes.

Radio for me too. I am so in awe of all of you that can wake up without an alarm clock! My alarm goes off, I hit snooze TWICE, and then finally drag myself up. I have to set my alarm for 15 minutes earler than I need to get up!

Too funny! I also keep my clock set a few minutes ahead! An odd amount so I don't really know what time it is!

This is exactly what I do too!!! How funny :D We think we are tricking ourselves somehow by setting our clocks ahead, just to hit snooze because we know we still have a little time!!!! My DH cannot understand the whole snooze button thing, until a friend tried to explain that snooze helps some people "prepare" mentally to get out of bed! Sounded good to me :p

My DH is hearing impaired, so I wake up to LOUD music.

What's weird is that he gets up a couple of hours before me and I don't even hear the alarm clock go off when he gets up. But when it goes off again at 7:00, it's like I'm front-row center at a rock concert...

It definetly gets me out of bed...:p

I wake up to 3 hungry cats meowing outside my bedroom door. I can't leave the door open because Puddin keeps pulling my hair and waking me up in the middle of the night when she wants a tummy rub.

We just got a new puppy on Friday (the most adorable Cockapoo), so these days I'm up at the sound of a puppy crying to go out and "make peeps."

Usually it's the beeping of an alarm. If I use the radio as an alarm, it ends up becoming background music of whatever I'm dreaming about and I always wake up late!

I just read this, and I am AMAZED at how many get up without an alarm! I "wake up" to the news, but I generally hit the snooze button at least 3 times before I get up, and frequently I just sleep right through the radio noise! :(
