I just have to share because it is the most fun, amazing, and unique gift I have ever received. I will also say that my husband and I rarely exchange gifts for any holiday, let alone Christmas. We just never have, and here and there is something jumps out at us we will get it, but we are fairly freed up in the "have to" area of buying for each other.
Having said that, my husband started telling me about two months ago that he knew what he was going to get me. This just made me laugh until he announced at the beginning of the month that he got it. This began an entire month of silliness and me trying to guess that nearly drove us both batty!
I actually almost posted a "What is my husband buying me?" post to share the clues and things I had ruled out! It was making me crazy!
How many of you have heard of Geochaching? It is a term that combines "Geo" for geography and cache meaning booty/treasure. Basically it is a GPS device that you can use to find hidden caches. The idea being that you can go out on a hike, bikeride, or cross country ski trip and also find a hidden treasure so to speak. He got me this GPS thing!
It is so cool I cannot believe it! I feel like this whole new world has opened up to me. There are a ton of people who do it.
His whole reasoning was that it would help me with my exercising. He loves that I have found Cathe and rediscovered working out. He was thinking that I could go mountain biking and also look for treasure. Yet his primary thing was that while he loves me going out into the woods on my bike or skis, he worries about me. This way I can track myself, and always know where I am! If I got hurt I could use my cell phone to call in my exact whereabouts even in the middle of nowhere.

Try typing your zip code, or town, into the search and see what comes up. You will be stunned by how many hidden "caches" are in your vicinty!!!! I know I was!
