Weightloss Challenge Thru Dec - Jul 13th Thread

Shereta I need some of your focus and determination! I got it when it comes to the exercise. Im just out eating my exercise! I know I will get back on track, I always do. Just major stress is derailing my best efforts. Yesterday a good eating day. Today not so good. Will try again!

Today, my energy was just not there although I tried pushing myself like it was. I did Low Impact Challenge, but couldn't do the last 9 min. blast. I did the first 30 minutes on the 8 inch step which Cathe was kicking my butt right off the bat in the warm-up! So I lowered it for the last 8 minutes down to 6 inches. I had planned on doing Squat Rack legs for STS tonight, but I'm whooped, tummy sick from overeating, and it's 97 degrees and very humid upstairs (where I work out it retains heat like an attic even with the a/c!)

Hope your tempo run was good! Tmrw I have the new Crossfire slated to do for my first time. Hope I get my energy back!

Tty tmrw :)

Gina, don't be so hard on yourself. You have a lot going on, so you may want to re-thing your workout schedule and make time for yoga and meditation. That always helps me. sometimes I only need it for a few days then I'm go. Another thing that helps when is planning my meals out according to my schedule. I know I need to eat lots of veggies and a few fruits a day, so I center everything else around that. Now, that's key for me.

My tempo run was a bust! After I warmed up, I turned the speed up and lasted for 11 minutes only, so I upped the incline and slowed the pace. That kept my heart rate up. After a bit, I lowered the incline and upped the speed. I kept alternating that. It was fun to see how fast I could really run on no incline. At one point I was up to 6.0 which is a 10 minute mile pace. I couldnt believe it! Of course I only lasted for half a lap, but it was a wild ride. :) Ok, so it wasnt a traditional tempo run. It was my tempo run. :).

Off to shower now.

Happy Wednesday, Ladies. Today's workout was the Circuit premix of Cross Fire. Wow. I was strong on those pushups. It was really tough. Not only did I do 2 sets of 8 of pushups on the disks, I also got in 2 sets 4 on my knees. I'm definitely getting stronger. It was a huge sweatfest.

Will work late today and head out of town tomorrow, but I should still be able to workout and check in during the trip.

You do a great job of adapting your workouts to your physical needs at the time so awesome job on your tempo run. You kept going and made it work for you! Kuddos :)

You're right. I need a few less stressful workout days cuz I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel for some energy right now. I nixed any heavy lifting and Crossfire for today and gardened instead for almost two hours. the heat is a killer today in the 90s!

Maybe tmrw, but if not, yoga. I'll see how I feel.

I seem to recall that you have been doing much better with and more of pushups lately. Great job and great feeling!

Thanks for your insight!

Have a good night,
Gina

You're welcome, Gina. I appreciate all your contributions also. Supportive folks like you help me know my fitness and weightloss goals are attainable. Listening to my body helps me stay injury free, too.

And on that note, I've decided not to take my lap top or workout gear to the church convention. I will focus on meditation and relaxation of my body and mind for the next four days while I get my spiritual self encouraged, motivated and rejuvinated.

Whoever gets online first on Friday, please start our thread. I should be checking back in on Sunday evening.

Smoochies and remember to train like warriors. lol
