Weight Watchers - Feb to first week of March 2010

Glad to see everyone checking in and figuring things out. I finally have a bit of peace and quiet to come post.

Today's menu:

B- multigrain hot cereal,chia,raisins,walnuts 10
S- greek yogurt,strawberries,granola 4
L - chicken,sweet potato,mixed veg 3 (surprising but it was just a little of the chicken and sweet potato - mostly veg)
S - crackers,cheese,grapes 5
D - ww tortilla,guacamole,chicken,cheese,salsa 6

That's 28 for the day so I might have a bit of chocolate or a scoop of ice cream or something in the evening.

Fingers crossed for a workout tomorrow!

L. salad, rotissere chicken, cheetos - 14
s. apple, peanuts - 4
s. apple sauce, graham crackers - 6
d. steamed fish, greenbeans, ice cream - 9

I'm so full. total = 45. I try to stay in the 30s, but it just won't happen. I always need something else. Maybe its my metabolism, the workouts or just plain greedy. (just kidding)

I know the weeks that I've gone over all my alloted pps are the weeks I loose 2.5, but, man, that's just scary to even think about doing it on purpose.,

Imax 3 tomorrow. woohoo.
 
Hey everyone!

Rough start to my week; I gained 1.2 pounds in my weigh-in yesterday. Boo. But not as bad as I feared and I'll just have to be a little better about not giving free reign to myself with the treats LOL.

Very short post from me as today is super busy--just wanted to stop in and say hello :).
 
Never did get back here yesterday to post my menu, but it wasnt anything great....Arby's for lunch, and 2 bowls of homemade soup for dinner (was yummy though!)

Today was weigh-in.....down 0.8 lbs from last week, however I did see a number even 1 lb lighter on the scale a few days ago. I had weighed myself when on a day I was "feeling light".

My legs are a bit sore from yesterday's Interval X+ so later today I'm going to do an upper body workout, maybe PUB.

Off to work....
 
Hey, yall. Imax 3 kicked my butt today. I did earn 10aps though.

Jennifer, that's not too much weight. We all recommitted this week. Hopefully you'll have a loss next time. Staying busy will help.

Stacy, congrats on your loss. My pecs and lats are a little sore from yesterday's PUB. Have fun.

That still only is 28 DP. Feels like a lot of food.

Managed a workout today....Barefoot Cardio...the one I go to when I just can't bring myself to work out. Earned 3 APs for it.

Now I better go Do Things. Have a good evening.

Shereta - I just wonder sometimes about your hunger....sounds like you are doing a lot of weight work, yes? I keep hearing about people really kicking up their appetites with the weight work - I think it's the muscle being built - just wants MORE! LOL.
 
I know what you mean. Also my first snack is at 5:30am. That kicks up the metabolism. I have 8 WPs left for the week.

I feel good. I did Firm Total Body Time Crunch with Rebecca. I used heavy weights (8-12s). I earned 10 aps.

Hi ladies,

I've been really busy at work and haven't been able to check in. I was up 1.2lbs at last weeks weigh in and am not sure I will make it to my weigh in this week. I think its going to be up again.:mad: I only have myself to blame. I haven't been tracking like I should...tracking really works for me.

I'm so glad to see everyone has re-committed...I'm right there with y'all. Planning and preparing is the name of the game. I've been getting in my workouts though which is a good thing.

I'm considering switching to the online membership. I really haven't been to the meetings, just stop in and weigh. How do those of you that use the online version like it?

Well, i love online. I post my foods during the day, read an article here and there and check out the forums sometimes. When my first three months is up, I'll cancel and just journal. That's why I'm trying to learn all I can while I have the access. Good luck with Intensity. I love that one.
 
Hi ladies!!

Still no cardio for me. It's been 3 full days...:eek: My calf is still really tender.

Diana - I love online. I'm not a big meetings person. I really never got much from attending the meetings. Right now I'm month to month with my subscription. I think I might cancel it this month and use SparkPeople to journal since all of my food is already in there. It really isn't making any sense to continue paying WW. I've already paralleled my menu's on both websites and I can eat about 1300 calories a day and lose.
 
Shereta - way to go with the pants! Happy zipping! I eat really early in the morning too and am RAVENOUS by mid-morning. I took your advice and added a bit of protein to that snack and it really helps.

I'm an onlin-er too. I think I must be about at the end of my 3 months. Not quite ready to give it up although I know I won't want to keep paying forever and ever. I've used SparkPeople in the past and maybe I'll do what Melissa is doing and parallel my menus for a bit......I haven't used fitday - anyone else?

Did a little kettlebell workout today. I have a Lauren Brooks still in its shrink-wrap. Need to work up to her!

Today's food:

B - hot cereal, chia seeds, raisins, walnuts 10
S - kefir, banana, strawberries 2
L - ww tortilla, tomato, lettuce, ww string cheese 3 (great googlymoogly this was an unsatisfying lunch but worth it due to my dinner plans)
S - apple
D - toooooona melt! My favorite indulgence for a meal 16

That's 31 DP.

OK, kids are clamoring for their suppers.....better get to it.
 
I'm really tired tonight. I got to bed late last night and I'm definitely feeling it now. I've eaten all PPs for the day. I guess I'm not having dinner. I don't need it cause I'm full from my snacking. Lights out at 9:15 tonight.

Well, on a better note, I really enjoyed Firm Total Body Time Crunch this morning. I might incorporate a Firm in my weekly rotation. They are fun for me. Til tomorrow.
 
Shereta - congrats on your pants! I must not have seen that earlier. I haven't tried FitDay. I'll check it out. And hey: get to bed on time tonight girlie...:)

Back to report my menu for today (29 pts/1302 calories):

B: 2 slices whole wheat toast w/1T peanut butter, 1/2 c 1% milk
S: orange
L: whole wheat pita, 4 oz chicken, 1T light ranch dressing, chopped red onion & celery
S: raw carrots
D: 1 cup pasta, 3 oz 93% lean beef, 1/2 cup pasta sauce, 1 c 1% milk

29 points is a little high for me. I usually try to come in around 26. Oh well, it was worth it to have the whole cup of pasta instead of a 1/2 cup. I feel satisfied. Ready to brush my teeth and call it quits on eating for today!
 
I didnt workout yesterday as planned. I got home from work late and was just plain tired!

I'm also an onliner for WW...but I seem to use it only to chart my weight weekly and to search their online point value info. However, I dont seem ready to give it up. My 3 month membership plan expires next month. When I first started I used to track my points every day, now not so much. In part, due to the fact that I'm eating some things I just dont know the point value of, for those meals I'm trying to watch portion sizes. I think once I get a little more comfortable with letting WW go, ie. feeling confident enough to trust my choices, I'll cancel WW online, but I'm not there yet.

I'm feeling better about not tracking every little thing as I"m still slowly losing weight. I dont want to feel like I have to track every morsel my whole life, but I know how I can so easily slip back into poor food choices and over-estimating my portion sizes!

This morning I did PUB before work. It was tougher than I remember, mainly b/c I havent been working out as diligently since joining WW, but it's not necessarily a bad thing...I've been losing inches and getting more sleep.

B--mini wheat bagel with turkey sausage
L--carrots, celery, yogurt
S--chex mix
D--(hubby made, so always a bonus)...meatballs in marinara sauce, green beans, and bruschetta with fresh basil and tomatoes

Points...???
 
I am an online tracker. I would never do it if I had to go to a meeting.

I've used; fitday,sparkspeople, daily plate(livestrong.com). I liked daily plate the best. I just came a cross another site called eatsleeplift.com. I have not used this one yet. :) I think I may try it.

Yesterday was very busy for me. I did step moves yesterday and MMA KBing (only the punching and kicking parts) and GS legs floor today.

Menu for today:

B: oats,blueberries, flax,agave, hard boiled egg
S: clementine
L: salad(large) arnold thin,cream cheese and light bluecheese dressing
S: rice crackers,apple, sunbutter
D: 3oz of turkey breast,peppers(yellow & red),onions,mushrooms over 1/2C of brown rice.
This is 25pts total. I know I will have a snack pretty soon. I will probably end up with about 32 pts.

Melissa, yes, I'll be bed on time tonight.

Happy Friday, ladies. Todays workout was Step Moves. I earned 10 APs. I did all jump moves, and ended it smiling wide.

I've revamped my eating plan and looking forward to a lose on Monday..

Hi Ladies,

I didn't realize that the majority of us were online users. About 6 years ago when I first lost weight with WW I really enjoyed the meetings. I think mainly because I had an awesome leader. Lately, the meetings I've been to seem to have older and inactive folks. I love the leader at my meetings, but it's just not the fun group that I had before. I'm usually so busy at work that I just pop in and weigh but do not stay for the meeting. Based on all your feedback, I may be switching my plan to the online version.

I got in 3 w/o's yesterday and felt great! I did Intensity in the morning, heavy leg training at lunch, and bootcamp class at night! It was awesome. Too bad work gets in the way of doing that everyday. I even braved the scale this morning and my weight is back down from my bingeing and not tracking.

Not sure what today's menu will be, but here's yesterday's:

B-fiber one/prot powder/flax/1C berries/1C almond milk-6
S-banana-7
L-Smart Ones-7
D-veggie burger/protein shake-4
Total of 24 pts.

Keep up the good work ladies!

I just thought I'd throw this out there since it seems like a few of us are about ready to cancel our subscriptions. The last time I did WWers, before I cancelled my subscription I made a spreadsheet of all of my foods, portions and points values and set it up so I could track on my own. This was back when it was Momentum. I might do that for PP too because I'm surprised at the difference in points when I compare todays menu in WW and SparkPeople and then look at yesterdays. Today comes in at 33 points :)eek:) and 1212 calories. I think yesterday was 26 points and 1302 calories. I'm eating more protein and less carbs today so that is boggling my mind as to why my points value is so high but the calories are kind of close.

Just something to think about for those who want to cancel but don't want to lose access to their points info.
