Week full of babies!!! Nov 8

Congratulations Jen!!!

Melanie - You and the babies will be in my thoughts and prayers today!

Hi Kelli! My first appointment is November 23rd. I'm not sure if they will do anything then though since it's more of an introductory paperwork type appointment. I really hope they at least look for a heartbeat so I can calm my nerves down a bit. Hope you are doing well!

CONGRATS JEN!!!!! I'm looking forward to seeing pics as well.

Melanie, you and the girls are in my thoughts and prayers!! Can't wait to hear the good news!

Liann, I'm pretty sure they would at least look for that strong HB. I remember my first appointment, she only took 1 minute doing the sonogram just to make sure there was a HB.

Nice to hear fron you Kelli!

HI Susan, Allison, and everybody that follows

Hi ladies! Thanks for all the well wishes! We are all doing great, just exhausted. James Matthew was born on 11/10 at 10:39 pm. He is 7 lbs 12 oz and 22 inches long! We have a bunch of pictures but for some reason our card isn't working in the computer. We are going to keep trying though. Not sure when I will get to go home.

Got to hospital around 330 or 4pm and was 4 cm and then water broke at 445 on its own. About two hours later I was 6 and wanting my epidural however yesterday must have been the day for babies because they didn't have a room for me and didn't want to give me an epidural in triage. (DH says I wasn't very nice) They finally got me upstairs around 7pm and got the epi. Felt good after that and started pushing around 9 pm. They stopped my pushing at 1015 waiting for dr to 'catch' him and I waited almost 20 minutes while being told not to push. Those were the hardest 20 min of my life and I was not happy. Dr told me I was going to tear so I got an episiotomy and he was out in two or three pushes. James cried right away and latched on my left breast great but doesn't like my right one. He's been trying to feed but we are just taking our time, getting to know each other.

Ok well, I will do personals later. Can't wait to hear from Melanie!

Jen!!! I am soooo happy for you! Kara didnt like my right breast for the frist few days..could be hes not getting anything out of it yet...hang in there. 22 inches wow!!!! Sounds like you had a great birth expericence!! Can't wait to see pictures!

Congrats to the ladies! Jen, sounds like you deserve a glass of champagne or more after holding James in there for so long!
Melanie- What a relief that you are all healthy and okay! I have had you in my thoughts forever it seems!
I am depressed lately, think it is hormones. Ready to feel normal again. Maybe my body was just so used to stress that I am not handling normal life very well!
I will stop complaining!
Happy baby mommas! So glad to hear you are all healthy!!!!

OMG Jen!!! James is a big baby for sure. I am glad everything worked just fine and that you did not have to wait until the weekend to meet your little prince. Can't wait to see the pics and see Melanie's twins as well. Congratssssssssssss!!!!

Congrats to you, Jen!! I'm so excited for you that you finally get to hold James :)

Melanie, hope all went well with your delivery today, and that the girls are doing well!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! My twin neices are perfectly perfect! I'm still praying for health and wellness to return quickly to you and for patience and stamina for my brother. Love you guys and miss you lots!!

Good afternoon ladies! We are hanging in there with breastfeeding. I think he just had a rough day yesterday with his circ and everything else. We had a long rough night (and the hospital staff makes it no better by coming in all the time) but this AM has been MUCH better. Poor little guy is sleeping so much because he was so alert and awake yesterday and last night.

On a good note, momma and baby are great and we are getting booted out today. Just waiting for them to wrap things up and give us a time. Daddy is snoozing which means I will get to later at home. He has been absolutely awesome!

Sorry again about the personals! As soon as we get some time I will add pics. Might try to add some on my FB today.

You guys are great and I hope everyone is doing well!

Jen-so good ot hear from you! I forgot about the circ...poor guy!!! Glad things are better today! Isnt it nice having a great dh! I am so lucky myself!
Hope the nursing gets better. Maybe when your milk comes in he will do better.
Kara is asleep on me and Im about to go lie her down and take a nap myself. Little sleep is catching up with me.
I have worked out 3 times this week...easy workouts..but workouts!

Hello all! We are home and it feels soooo nice! DH let me sleep last night and James didn't wake up for about 4 hrs to feed so that helped big time! I stayed up with him the rest of the time and let Daddy sleep for about 5 hours. We had our first dr appt today and it went great. Said he looks slightly jaundice but to be expected.

Milk actually came in today and James is doing great. I am still using a nipple shield on both nipples to help him out and I pumped a little because my breast was so engorged. Daddy just gave James a little of the milk from the bottle and he did great! It took him a minute to figure it out. I don't think I want James having a bottle yet but its good to know that he had no problem with it. DH really wants to help with feedings so I can sleep more but I feel torn. I'm feeling a little selfish because its the one thing that no one else can do but at the same time, DH is so awesome that I don't want him to feel left out but he said he understands.

Wow, so I had a lot to say! Anyway, here are a few pics of my favorite little guy.

Hi guys! I am around....but am having a rough time in recovery. I spent 36 hours in the ICU folloiwng a C-Section "that used a communities worth of donated blood"

The girls are in NICU,but are doing marvelous. Only concerns are billirubin & hemoglobin. They were basically 4 & 5lbs each. I am pumping (attempting to) every 3 hrs to build up milk....I know this will speed up recovery. I'm thinking I will be discharged on Monday...to a transitional type room until my girls are ready to go home.

I woke up yestereday to some major swelling and bp cllimbed throughout the day. By 11PM I had 200/100 bp & was treated throughout the night for pre-eclampsia.....Magnesium via IV throughout the night & a "nurse babysitter" who took my vitals every 30 minutes throughout the night. They switched me from hydromorphone to percocet this PM...but I'm in much more pain now. :(

Today my bp is still high, 140/95sh...but not as bad as yesterday. I'm super bloated....my legs look the tree trunks and my belly is super disteneded.

We're doing okay......hoping (and praying) that the swelling will go down shortly!!!

Congrats, Jen!!!!!!!! I'm so glad that James was born before the girls. :D :D I can't believe your home already!!!! WOW!!!

Waves to all!!!

Melanie - Wow have you been through the ringer...so glad to hear the girls are doing well. I had to be on Magnesium with my first - yuck!!!!! I also had some issues with pain control b/c of them removing my epidural but forgetting to schedule the IV with pain meds and that contributed to my blood pressure going up...so make sure your pain is under control (of course you probably already know this :). I pray you will have a speedy recovery and in about a week or two you will feel so much better, I know that seems like a long time, but it will be here before you know it. Of course you will need to remind me of that in March/April when I have my c-section! Those girls have one special MOMMA.

Jen - What a cutie!!! He looks like he is smiling in the second picture.

I am off to bed, me and DH did Christmas shopping today and I am wiped out!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Kelli

Came back to say...Wow Susan 3 workouts, I think that is awesome.

Morning
Jen-James is soooo precious! Dont feel bad about wanting to nurse him exclusivly. That is how its meant to be. Its very important for bonding between James and you. THere are tons of other things your dh can help with and bond. Surly your dh will understand. Im glad nursing is getting easier for you! My let-down is so strong that I have to stop nursing for a few seconds so Kara doesnt gag. Poor thing..once it came out of her nose!

Melanie-so good to see you! You look great by the way! HOpeing your bp goes down today! ANy idea of when the girls can go home??

Hi Kelli! Thanks! Im ready to pump it up to harder work outs next week!

off to make Haley some bfest!

Well, my pity party is over. I'm determined to get healthy again so I can take care of my family!!!! I WANT 2 GO HOME!!!

My poor platelets aer down really low again---and here I blamed the girls all along for my low platelets. :( I suspect they (hematologists)are just going to watch and see where they bottom out at (or watch for symptoms of bleeding) ....but a spleenectomy certainly isn't out of the question.

So for today, I'm working on breastfeeding (purchased a hospital grade Medela pump) and walking around. I want to see my babies in NICU as much as possible too. :D

Waves to all you wonderful mommies! Who's next? Cee?

Melanie-you have a great attitude! You are such a strong woman! You go girl! Hope the nips are too sore from pumping!
I just put Kara down and Im gonna get the house clean. Dh is hunting and wont be home until Sunday evening. Haley gets to sleep with me when dh is gone and last night she was such a helper! She slept right through the night time feedings though!
Jen-hope you guys are having a good day. Hope you are getting some rest!
Waves to everyone!

Hey ladies. There is not nearly as much chatter with Melanie and Jen having their babies, congratulations!

Titus Andrew was also born on Tuesday November 10 after 41 hours of labor. He was in respiratory distress and rushed to the nursery. He spent a day and a half on oxygen and a nutrient IV, then was slowly brought onto pumped breastmilk.

I have a nasty infection. The best guess is that my water ruptured last Wednesday Nov 4, but I had such a small leak that when the hospital checked it was undetectable. So I spent a week building up an infection.

Both Titus and I are on antibiotics, I should be released tomorrow, and Titus on Monday. Breastfeeding is going totally great. I have enough milk for triplets and Titus is a hungry boy.

Hopefully, I will have more time to post next week. I am so grateful to all of you ladies who have been with me through this pregnancy!
