TV shows that I ALWAYS watch

The Closer
The Good Wife
House Hunters/Property Virgins
Say Yes to the Dress
Law and Order
Ed Show, Hardball, Rachel Maddow on MSNBC--no explanation needed

I never watch Fox News--no explanation needed.

I also watch the Dog Whisperer, Dog Town and a new one on AP about transporting dogs from the South to their new homes in the North East.

My favorites are:

The Good Wife
Dark Blue
The Closer
Next Food Network Star
Chopped
Iron Chef

Embarassed to confess this, but for some reason these shows really intrigue me:

Biggest Loser (even though as a personal trainer I am horrified by much of what they do)
Say Yes to The Dress (I've been married for almost 30 years and most of their dresses cost more than my entire wedding!)
Jersey Couture (used to hang out in Freehold NJ in my salad days, this show is hysterical)
I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant (yikes)

Debbie Russo

Wow, is there really a show called I Didn't know I was pregnant? That is truly scary!!

I watch Say yes to the dress all the time too! Other than that, I mostly watch the food network (my DH says we could cancel our cable and pipe in The Food Network 24x7 and I'd be happy :p)

The shows I record are:
Grey's Anatomy
Private Practice

Was watching 24 but now that it's over just started watching Season 1 of Lost on Netflix.

Pam

The Office
30 Rock
Entourage
Bill Maher
Mad Men
Big Bang Theory
Rachel Maddow (when DH is not around, he hates politics)
Pets on Parade (a local show featuring pets up for adoption at the AZ Humane Society)
Treme (out of loyalty to David Simon for creating The Wire more than for the show itself)
The Daily Show
The Colbert Report

And that's about all I watch.

Always on TIVO:
Jon Stewart, Colbert Report
Burn Notice
Psych
CSI: (all three)
Law and Order:
The Closer

New:the new Dr. Who with Matt Smith
Covert Affairs
White Collar (eye candy;) )

Occasionally: Rescue Me
Oprah, Dr. Oz show (not so much, really lame production value)

Used to watch:
Gray's Anatomy
House

The Seeker

I hate to say it, but the quality of reality TV has really deteriorated. :p

My can't miss TV:

Mad Men
Glee
Cougar Town
Project Runway Canada (so much more creative and Iman is so much more wonderfully bitchy than Heidi)
30 Rock
Parks and Recreation

And I like the Daily Show, but it's on too late to watch regularly. Same with SNL.

Guilty reality TV pleasures that I will catch if nothing else is on:

Say Yes to the Dress
Real Housewives of various cities (seriously, this s**t is crazy)
Millionaire Matchmaker
Top Chef

I shouldn't be posting in this thread because there is no TV show that I ALWAYS watch, except that if I know Project Runway is on, I will watch it, but I lose track of when it's on.

These days I find reading more interesting than watching TV, but when my eyes hurt too much to read at night, or I just want something fun, I enjoy watching Two And A Half Men. It really gets me laughing! :D

Can't live without:
True Blood
Nurse Jackie
Weeds

Always watch:
Cougar town
Modern Family
Grey's Anatomy
Private Practice
Real housewives of NY/NJ/OC

Need to catch up:
Dexter

Starting to gain "always" status:
Glee
Lie to me
Jillian's new weight loss show (although it's over now)
Bethanny getting married

Honorable but canceled mentions:
Lost
The Sopranos

Yep, it's about political views

Ok I am pretty naive when it comes to news channels. Several of you have the following or vise versa:

My channel of choice that is on mostly all day: MSNBC - no explanation needed

Channel that I NEVER watch: Fox news - no explanation needed

I need an explanation - I think it has to do with political views? Can someone enlighten me?

Shows I will always watch:

Ghost Whisperer - even though more corny than before and the whole Jim/Sam thing seriously, seriously irritated me.

Biggest Loser
Chopped
Dateline/20/20
Medium
FOOTBALL - GO VIKES - PLEASE GOD, PLEASE GOD LET FARVE COME BACK THIS YEAR!
Tudors
Dexter
Big Love

As far as the news channels, yes, the preferences and dislikes have to do with political views.

my watch list

anything food network - usually have that or some news channel on when making dinner

newest obsession - The Vampire Diaries - amazing - can't wait for season 2 to start

I am embarrassed to list all of the TV that I watch...WAY too much!

True Blood
Vampire Diaries
Lie to Me
The Office

Modern Family
White Collar
The Daily Show
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Hot in Cleveland

Shows that I watched but are no longer with us:
24
The Sopranos
Monk

Channels that I refuse to watch because I end up yelling at the TV:
MSNBC
CNN
Fox News

Okay, I'll play:

Always:
So You Think You Can Dance
The Closer
Grey's Anatomy
Friday Night Lights
ESPN and NFL Network, mainly during football season
Anything NFL football related (GO PACK GO - and sure Brett, come on back, right after training camp is over of course - nothing makes me smile like watching that narcissist through game losing interceptions!)
Bill Maher
Rachel Maddow

Love Anthony Bourdain!

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER watch:
"Reality" TV
and most especially, Fox "News" - no explanation needed!!

Shows I always watch:

Mad Men
Thirty Rock
Daily Show
Modern Family
House
Rachel Maddow (not every day)

Shows I never watch:

Fox News
Any of the "Talent show" i.e., American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, etc.

I am a big fan of the DVR concept, so I record everything and watch it later. My faves:

Drop Dead Diva
The Good Wife
CSI (original only)
The Daily Show
The Peoples Court
Parks & Recreation
The Office (although I feel it's getting lame of late)
Community
Big Bang Theory
Modern Family
Parenthood
Say Yes to the Dress (as much as I hate to admit it)
My Fair Wedding with David Tutera (LOVE him!!)
Mythbusters
Dirty Jobs

And anything on the Investigation Discovery (ID) channel-- 20/20, 48 Hours Mystery, etc.

I don't watch the news (any variety) because it just makes me mad. :) I do listen to a lot of NPR, though, so I'm not totally out of the loop!! :)

Well I just have to say, in all fairness, neither Fox nor MSNBC are really "news." It's a new entertainment phenomenon called "opinion programming." There isn't even a pretend effort to be objective. I guess CNN comes closest to a real news channel, but their 24/7 coverage of Michael Jackson's sad demise caused their ratings to drop something like 40% in a year. They were just too full of fluff & irrelevance. Now they're trying to improve but I think it's too late.

Fun post......but made me realize I watch too much TV.

Supernatural - my #1 can't miss show!
Kathy Griffin - my life on the D-list
American Pickers
Pawn Stars
Suze Orman
Biggest Loser
The Good Wife
Stargate (SG1, Atlantis & Universe)
The Vampire Diaries
NCIS
Local and evening news

It's been fun reading what shows everyone likes. :) I saw that a lot of you like 30 Rock, and I had a feeling it might be up my alley, so I checked out the first few episodes via Netflix streaming last night and they were hilarious! I would also like to check out Dexter-I have a feeling that I will like this one also as I really enjoyed Michael C. Hall in Six Feet Under. My husband (computer nerd) has also been watching a British sitcom lately called The IT Crowd and it's weird, but really funny. :)
