True Confessions - just for fun

You know why you guys don't like telephone? Cuz you are control freaks! You can only control the conversation via email or in person. On the phone, it can so easily get away from you. Since my family refuses to give up, I just unplug it. Try it sometime. It is truly liberating!!!
 
dmd, I am the same!! I either eat or I drink, but I don't eat AND drink. No way, totally kills the buzz. Plus you take in less alcohol calories if you drink on an empty stomach. Three beers does me good, then I switch to water. I don't know how people stay at normal weight that do it otherwise!!

of course, when I drink, I am usually drinking to get drunk (and I am drinking now) Rolling Rock #1. :)

My mommy taught me good. If I accidentally put it on going underneath I quickly change it to over the top. Yeah, I hear her voice. :)

Oh, I have something with the chandelier all right. Or, more specifically NOT with the chandelier. IAnd the ceiling fan. And every surface that needs dusting, but most especially those high up. I HATE dusting and I HATE that I don't do it. :D

Yep my lack of good housekeeping is my biggest embarrassment. :(

Nancy, the hairs on my arm just stood on end. Because that's one of the main rules in my house. That, and the toilet seats always have to be down after the males use it. I do give my son some slack. But once he turns 5, I'm crackin' the whip.:+

RE: the phones ---> I detest talking on the phone so much that we don't even have a home phone!!! DH and I each have cell phones, and verrrrry few people have my number. And it's so much easier to NOT answer your cell, don't you agree? LOL Seriously, though, I'm so glad to hear others say they are not phone talkers. I'm happy to email to my heart's content, but the phone...no thankyou!!!
 
Alright, Shelley. Hats off to you, girl. I think this is the funniest thread all week. Boogers and cat puke, Brady Bunch and Charmed, toilet paper placement and beer buzzes. I don't think I've found so much diversity in one thread my whole time on this forum.:)

I love Regis and Kelly! Do you remember way back when Kelly was new and Regis had trouble with gophers in his yard? I don't think I have laughed so hard...their audiance literally laughed for a good 30 seconds...do you remember that???? dmd :)
 
Wow! I guess you ladies really needed to get this stuff off your chests! Little did I realize when I started this that I would open a floodgate of confession worthy of an episode of *insert name of cheesy daytime talk show here*.

Yes--I remember the gophers. I love Regis's total incompetence with gadgets and his periodic wrap-rage. I did win 4 thousand dollars way back when they were giving money away (the days of Kathie Lee!), so I don't feel like I'm totally silly to enjoy the show so much.
 
Indeeeeeeeeeed}( Good to know that we all have a bad habit or two. Sometimes it is freeing to show the chinks in ones armour, yes?
 
I want mine over the top too and as the only person in the house to know how to put a roll on, I am in control of that. Interesting they all know how to steal the roll from my bathroom in spite of not know how to put one on.

Jes- We have alot in common as I do everything you do that is on your list! So I will add some more...

I love to pull weeds, it relieves any stress that I may have.

I could space out on the weather channel for hours just because the talking heads have such pleasant soothing voices. LOL

I have an urge to roll down my window whenever I see someone jogging along the road, and say.... "your awesome"

I am afraid of cows because of their size

Charlotte, I also love to pull weeds. I find it very cathartic. I was humming while I was doing it today. :)

I squash grubs and other insects that eat my plants between two fingers. I know it's gross, but you get used to it. :)

I have an addiction with tweezing little chin hairs. If I feel some and have no tweezers, it drives me nuts. I also buy very expensive tweezers. The ones that will grab the tiniest of hairs. :)
