Toughest Cathe Workout?

I can only give you my cardio vote (I lift at the gym), but I think it's Maximum Intensity Cardio. I was reminded this w/e when I pulled it out & dusted it off (thank you very much Marie ;-) ). It's so looooong & so intense, that workout always kicks my butt! :)

LauraMax! I knew someone besides me was going to vote MIC. It is definitely a killer, that's for sure!

(I can't speak for the compilation workouts. I traded the Terminator several months ago after having it sit unused on my shelf for months. I just don't have the kind of time it requires.)

:p :p

For just step cardio, for me it's IMAX 3.

For circuits, the Gauntlet (off the Terminator DVD).

Oh, and yes Hardcore extreme #2 is also just that....Hardcore! }(

For some reason, I cannot get psycholigically challeged doing some of Cathe's older workouts (anything older than 2001), even though I know the content is excellent.

With that in mind, my "tough Cathe challenge" is HCE #3!

can someone tell me what mic is like? what is the intensity as far as pounding? alos, what are your hardest strength workouts?

MIC is quite a bit of jumping and hoping around in the high low section. I think only the warm up and maybe 5 min into it is really low, the rest you will feel more like a bunny with how much hopping that you will do. Have you ever done Step Jump and Pump? The High Low in that workout is very similar to what she has you do in MIC.
The toughest weight workout? I don't know. I don't own all of her weight workouts, but I'm sure that some of the girls will step in here for that one.

I think I will agree with MIC...also what about BodyMax...it is a toughie for me!!!

I have never tried Hardcore Extreme #2...I think I am going to try it tonight...Ahhhhhhhhhhh

I think Leaner Legs has to be right up there. When you have extra time, combine it with the upper body section from Power Hour and you will have a very tough full body endurance workout. If you separate your upper and lower body workouts, use CTX upper body instead. These are endurance workouts(my weakness)so I find them harder than something like Pure Strength. I think her tougest ab work was the ball work in PUB.

Bodymax & Imax 3 are the tuffest I say, but with a major caveat. Anytime I have any of these workouts in circulation, you tend to acclimate to their intensity rather quickly.

Bootcamp has always been easy, so Lorrayne, I've met you in person, you are very healthy-looking & extremely fit, I would never have thought this was a challenge for you! :p ;-)

Imax 3! This is the only vid I have to do on a 6 in. platform. I tried it on 8 in. and I barely finished.

Well, just did HCE # 2 this morning and my legs are still quivering! That's tough - like the other poster said - especially during the blasts.

HCE # 3 is a good one, as is HCE #1.

MIC is a killer, but after IMax 3 and the HCE series, I don't find it as tough as I did before.

Circuit Max always kicks my butt (especially when I skip the Upperbody part and do only the lower body with heavy weights - I'm tripping over my step by the time the last step routine is done).

Leaner Legs and GS Legs always get me.

Marla,

You are too kind (yes, I remember you!). :) Bootcamp is one of those workouts for me that just wears me out! Especially those Terminator Thrust Climbers get me every time! I really have to be mentally and physically prepared for these to complete them. Otherwise, I'll just stand and watch the crew do them while I'm huffin' and puffin'.

Personally, circuit training is tougher for me than pure cardio. I have no idea why, but I get more winded doing these than, say, IMax2!

Hope to see you on a future road trip!
Lorrayne

I'd have to say MIC as well. It's a GREAT workout if you are a cardio fanatic like me. I especially like to use it if I am working off a really big (and not so healhty) dinner from the night before.:7 By the time I'm done I feel like I've worked off every last calorie.

Katie

For me it has to be High Step Training. For some reason the first cardio section wipes me out. When I put this dvd in I always hope for the best and double knot my laces!

I don't know about all time, but of the ones I have done i would have to say Imax 2 and boot camp for sure. I just made it through all of Imax 2 yesterday and still have not made it all the way through boot camp and I have been on the intensity rotation for 2 weeks.
