Top 5 Hated Exercise Moves!

Ditto

I can't do more than a few plie jacks. Apparently I was born with an extra bone in my right foot (it's okay, you can laugh) and it is aggravated by that move more than any other. So I'm just listening to my body, totally not being lazy :p

1) Dive Bombers (never heard of them before Cathe's LIS)
2) Seasaw tricep pushups on ball (ironically, these are the modifications for Dive Bombers - I just feel like I am going to fall and smash my face into the floor)
3) Burpee Push-ups (or anything that involves a push-up with travelling moves. I can do a burpee and I can do a push-up. Combining the 2 - not so much.)
4) Running Man in HiiT 40/20 (I don't mind the running man normally, but for some reason in 40/20 I am physically tired at that point and don't like to do them. But I force myself for 40 seconds!)
5) FAST straight leg push-ups. I just can't do them as fast as Cathe with correct form in straight leg.
6) Any tricep move that involves a barbell with a low-end or high-end move with that barbell. I can do it with a dumbbell of the same combined weight, but that barbell kills me.

Neat thread!

Lol! love this thread! Lets see, yes burpees/moutain climbers top the list. Then its those genie hops (I forgot who mentioned those..) and tuck jumps are just awful! I know theres more - probably one for each video she has, but I forget them until she mentions that its next! :)

  1. Plie Jacks. These wear me out like no other. They also started making my arches hurt so bad I almost cried with frustration until I finally got custom orthotics. They don't hurt anymore, but I still can't quite get through all of the plie jacks in the final step blast section of Intensity.
  2. Dive Bombers. I'm getting better, but man are they a struggle!
  3. Air Jacks. Someday I'll be able to jump as high and fast as Cathe and crew, but I'm not there yet!

HaHa! I think the sashays in MIC are quite redundant! I can't believe someone mentioned those! Don't get me wrong, that workout is my goto workout when I wanna kick my own butt! The plie jumps in Intensity wipe me out. I can handle most of the other not so fun moves as long as we don't do a bazillion of them.

1st on my list has to be fast feet shuffle; there's a dread factor because I'm not coordinated at all so I usually end up tripping, falling, etc. The last time I tried them, I fell, landed against a book shelf leaving a nasty looking bruise on my left arm that extended from my wrist to my elbow. ouch!. After that, I'd say burpees, tuck jumps, dive bombers & plie jacks.

In light of the rapid snow accumulating outside, I would add shoveling snow as one of the most hated exercises. It's better than rake max (raking leaves) but this stuff looks heavy and coming straight down. Plus, my driveway is steep.

For me Mountain Climbers are at the top of the list! Lateral jumps really seem to bother my knees so they come in a close second with Tuck Jumps.
Measuredoak~ I laughed out loud at your post because I could so see myself doing the same thing. I can finally do fast feet shuffles but when Cathe adds the arms I stumble all over the place. I am right there with you on the coordination issues!

Nice to know I'm not the only one. My goal is to some day be able to do fast feet shuffles w/o stumbling, falling or twisting an ankle.

Burpees, straddle taps, tuck jumps, and those blasted Genie hops could all fall off the world and I'd be ok with it. But, yes, we do them anyway.....

Straddle taps! Yes...those are the worse and after years of trying to get that move down...I just can't...lol. I've learned to do something different every time she incorporates them. I do like the Genie hops though :)

I tend to do regular jumping jax when she does plie jacks too...lol.

Straddle taps. Not because I cannot do them or keep up the pace with Cathe and crew, but because I am totally breathless after those:eek:
They are followed by squat turns, butt kicks in 40/20 and push-ups variations : thanks to Lis I improved greatly, but chest push-ups in the 4Ds are still a hard challenge to me
