Okay everyone fess up...who is looking forward to the warmer weather so you can strut around in short sleeves and tanks, showing off your guns? :D

I know I am. :D

I'll let you know after I finish STS! Right now I'm in TERRIBLE shape. I just started working out last week after 5 months of being sedentary and it shows. UGH! :(

Waaah, I don't have guns!!! I have long, "bird arms" (so DH says).

I've upped my protein though. Maybe by the time summer comes, I'll have a bicep to be proud of.

Wow, so early in the year and you are already looking forward to showing off your guns?!?! Good for you Sparrow!!!

I can only hope I have something to show off by the time summer rolls around. I have some guns, but they are currently hibernating under a nice, warm layer of chub. And apparently they ain't ready to come out yet...:p

I couldn't wait-I wore a sleeveless top out on Saturday night:) And I got complimented on my "guns"! I was ecstatic! Now if only my abs were strut worthy.

I don't wait either! If I go out somewhere over the winter months where I'll be indoors I always put on short sleeves and "strut" my stuff! ;):D

LOL! Me too!! I know they're under there somewhere, but they're taking their sweet ole time showing up!!

**Sigh**
Even with all of my hard work with Cathe, my arms will never have definition. They are big and make me look very heavy on the top.

So I'll begin yet another year of trying to find "blousy" sleeve tops to hide them.

They're strong. But they're not pretty. :(

I'm not waiting for summer. I live in Heidelberg, Germany and it's in the 50s. I'm in a sleeveless shirt (with a sweater over it--but it's off!). I show my guns every morning and night in the gym (my legs too!) and I'm 8+ months preggo--all belly. Stay fit, keep to your program and it WILL pay off---thanks be to Cathe and all of you other hotties for ALL that you do! :D

I don't like people commenting on my "guns" or how I could "kick their ass", I have gone out and had other women with their men snicker at me too, so that makes me feel super insecure, I enjoy my arms by myself in my gym only. And believe me, they aren't even that big or defined at all..
Come July though, I do go sleevless cause its super hot.

tneah, I've had that happen to me, too. And mine are nowhere near where I think they should be. Sounds trite, but I bet they're jealous-maybe not of your arms per se, but of the dedication it took to get them to look like that. Show off all your hard work-there are plenty of people out there who love a strong, fit woman! Like all us Catheites:)

I'm a boater, so I live for warm weather. The boat should be back in its slip in about a week and then it is definitely time to start showing some skin(hopefully the weather will cooperate). I actually get quite a few inquiries from coworkers, neighbors, and friends about how I've gotten in shape. I quickly give them my enthusiastic endorsement of Cathe. In fact, sometimes I feel like I'm a walking advertisement for Cathe although other than my sister, I don't think I've converted anyone else yet.

I love the title of this thread ;).

I am. I work in a plant (not an office) and everyone thought I was so weird last summer when I refused to bare my sloped shoulders in a tank top. I wore (granny) bermuda shorts and tees because I refused to wear tanks (no shoulders + wide hips = no tanks, man) and I couldn't wear shorter shorts because my legs were horrible, like tree trunks. I'm still not crazy about my legs but I've slimmed down enough I can wear much shorter shorts and I am thrilled to finally have a body that's balanced enough that I'll look fine in tank tops. My hips are much narrower, my shoulders and upper arms much more developed... Yea, I can do it, I think. Since it gets really hot at work this is a good thing.

I am very pleased with my progress since I cleaned up my diet by getting 6-10 servings of vegetables every day and 4-6 grams of protein every 3 hours. And the results have been overwhelming in only three weeks. Still, I'm going to be one of those women who's fat comes off last in her belly and calves. It's starting to come off my tummy now (noticed it in the shower this morning) but my calves are still huge. My late father used to say to me "Patience, Prudence..." But those monster calves are really driving me nuts. I won't truly feel I've progressed until those calves have really slimmed down.

Yea, tanks and shorter shorts... Haven't been able to wear them in public in 18 years. This is THE YEAR!!!

Awesome Stacey!!!

Count me in as an "armed" woman - heh - whose abs need work. Mine are OK but not great but I've really cleaned-up my diet these last couple of months. Hope springs eternal. Plus I am doing less crunch type stuff and more yoga/core.

No seriously, the running has thinned out my calves. Just thought you might want to know. Maybe you run already?

As for me. I will never show off the arms. First, I've lost a lot of weight and the skin hasn't snapped back exactly. Second, I was burned seriously as a child and its not something I can be proud of really. Sun burns can be a baaaad thing. Watch your kids.

There's a girl at work who's skinny as a rail and has port wine birthmarks covering almost one entire side of her body. But when she walks you look... everyone does. There's just something proud about the way she carries herself. She walks tall, with her head high and her shoulders back and nobody, NOBODY notices her birthmark - until later, but by then it's like "so what..." No self esteem issues with that girl. I think a lot of women could learn from her.

I am doing treadmill sprints and Cardio Coach challenges but my calves are still going to be the last to respond. Thanks.

I can relate, my arms are huge (I do have high body fat) but lots of muscle underneath. My arms respond well to training. At work (we have a nice gym) I've had men make a few comments "my God Connie, where did you get those arms" "good lord you've got some big muscles"...some even wanted to feel my arms...these comments were not made in a snickering way but in more of a "wow", but they still made me uncomfortable. I felt like a freak show. I carry my weight in upper body and even though I"m overweight I"m solid as a rock which makes me look bulky. My body fat would have to be VERY low for my arms to look ripped and lean. Even when I weighed 120 people commented on my muscled arms. I'm determined to clean up my diet this year though and see where STS takes me!
