STS Users: Is STS repetitive?

I did P90x for a year because there is no gym in my neighborhood, and it was the only thing available at the time. It was a good program when I used it, but STS far outshines it. If anything, I found P90x to be repetitive. My first round of STS was the 3 month rotation. It went by so quickly for me. I could not believe it. Now, I've started over, and I'm doing the 6 month rotation. That's just how boring it was the first time.

BTW, Anyone else, please feel free to respond, but I think I'm going to order STS TONIGHT! I'm hoping to show my friend what true STS results look like by this fall! Wish me luck!

Well, did you buy a ticket on the STS train?
You will not regret it!!!!

Good luck:)

STS does not feel repetitive until the end of Meso 3. But even that is not enough to make you want to stop. Also Meso 3 includes those fabulous PLYO leg workouts so it's only the 2 upper days that can feel a little stale (but really not THAT bad, I think it was more the style of lifting that bored me, more than the workouts themselves).

My trainer bored me LONG before STS did.

I did P90X and I loved it but by the last few weeks, I was very bored of doing the same workouts over and over. STS always feels fresh and new.

These are all perfect responses. After thinking about it I'll answer your question w/ a question; if STS was repetative, why did I experience varying degrees of DOMS EVERY week for 3+ months! :)

I am now in my second 3-1/2 month rotation of STS, This time I am doing it as an undulting rotation. I do not find that STS is repetitive in the least. All weight training programs repeat themselves to some degree but as was previously stated, this is in the nature of weight training. There are so many different ways that STS can be utilized. Each week I have thought about different ways to utilize STS. I thoroughly enjoyed my first rotation and I am definitely enjoying this undulating rotation. With the undulating rotation every single workout is different and none of the meso cycle body parts are done back to back. STS is well worth the purchase price.

Thank You Everyone!

I understand now that weight training is somewhat repetitive. I watched some more of the Chalean DVDs and looked at the calendar recommended and I know I would get so bored with that kind of routine. I've been watching the demo videos and the Cathe TV shows and now realize that STS is the best fit for me. Plus I love Cathe's style so much, it would be hard to adjust to a new instructor.

I ordered STS Wednesday night. It is on its way to me right now! Should be here Wednesday! I'm so excited to start it!!!!! If there are any suggestions on what I can do to prepare myself, let me know!

Have a great weekend everyone,
Brandie

Brandie, the best way to get the most out of STS is to do your 1RM tests. I think that is the one factor that has made it a great experience for me and gave me great results.

i think doing the undulated rotation won't make it feel so repetitive. i do find that doing meso 1,2,or 3 for a month can get to where i am not so interested anymore.

You won't regret it! STS is a superior program. It far exceeds anything BB has ever done. Part of that is the exercises, but it's also Cathe, her team and the excellent excellent production. Cathe outdid herself in this one. I know that's hard for her to do, but she did!

Have fun shock training!

I'm doing my 1RMs!

As suggested, I'm doing the 1RM Max. I also read all of Cathe's threads in this forum and have watched some Cathe TV. Yippee!

The only thing I found to be repetitive were the warm-ups. That's an easy fix though. Do a warm-up from a different workout every time. The rest of the series is truly the best in home training system on the market. When the cardio edition is released it will rise to an even higher level!

LCSAVIK: Thanks for the tip! I have a treadmill, I use it all the time for a quick warm up.

I'm supposed to get my dvds today! YEAH! I've been trying to work through the 8 pages of that pdf file of 1RMs and have only done about 30 exercises. Now that I have the DVDs in hand, I think I'm going to watch Cathe perform some of the exercises before I find out my 1RM. A lot of the leg exercises I've never done before, especially the ones with the paper plate. I'm scared that if I do all the 1RMs before I watch the exercise performed, I might have been doing the exercise incorrectly! Don't want that!

Have a great day everyone!
