STS first time!

What happened to your toe?

I know it fall when my hubby wants to start cuddling again....

Hope your daughter feels better.

Colleen and I both go shoeless! It is much more comfy!!! :)

I do wear shoes on high impact Cathe like TTM!!!!

:p

Carolyn, I'm already feeling my triceps from this morning. I'm kind of scared about how they will feel tomorrow. :eek.

Good Afternnon Everyone. No w/o today. I had to run errands. Then I am leaving tomorrow to go visit my sister and Mother until Sunday. So I guess I will only be walking until I get home. I really do need the cardio though. I also was wondering where ColleenK is.

Missy You are so young that you can wear any color shoes you want. Oh to be your age again. I do wear bright colored shirts . I cannot stand black , brown , tan. I love color.

Carolyn You are just having a time with your body parts. I can't wait for you to get that surgery and you can get back to normal. You used to go for a run and then go home and do an upper body w/o. I just hope you get well soon . We all need to do xtrain together.

ColleenD I saw one utube video of xtrain. Is there more than one? Good luck at the Dr. today. I hope he makes you feel better. I am amazed that you have tricep doms so soon after working out. I usually feel them about 36 hours later. You should be hurting tomorrow. Did you ever hire anyone for that job?

Jean

Jean, enjoy the time at your sisters.

I just got back from the DR and I'm not really happy. They are thinking possibly celiac. I have to starting eating wheat again and go in for a blood test in a few weeks then possibly a endoscopy. I'm fine with the diagnosis is that is what it is, but the doc made me feel like I was making it up and it was in my head. I mean, who would really make up severer stomach pain and diharehia? Sorry if TMI. I'm just really upset right now.

Jean, no such luck on the position yet. Its a senior level position with a very specific skill set so it's been a challenge.

Well here I am again posting the same thing the dr tells me every week. No dilation. No effacement. Ugh! I really felt like things were changing but apparently not. Pretty frustrating but I'm trying to keep a positive attitude since I know things can change quickly. My next appt is Mon. We will discuss induction then. I'm really against it though. I just want things to happen naturally. She knows how I feel about it and is working with me. If I don't go by that following Mon the 22nd then I think I would be more open. At that point I would be 41w5d. Happy note of the day.....she approved for me to stop working. So technically I'm on medical leave. She knows how uncomfortable I've been so she said she would use swelling as a reason. I'm swollen in the belly haha but no where else. She is great! Glad she approved it! So no more work! Maternity leave will start the day he is born so I will have my full 12 weeks with him too :)

Missy- Great shoes!!!!

Jean- Thanks for posting that website. I will have to check that out.

Betty- Yum! Caramel apples....one of the many things I love about fall.

Carolyn- Sorry about your toe :(

ColleenD- Totally checking out the new clip on utube after I post this.

Hi to everyone else :)

Speaking of the new workouts.....did everyone buy them? I think we should all do the rotation together. I know I'm starting the week I get them :)

Marie I am so bummed that you haven't thinned. Just don't wait too long to be induced. I won't go into details but just listen to your doctors advice. She knows best. The most important thing is to have a healthy baby. Your due date is tomorrow so maybe he is just waiting. I am so happy that you can stay home now and enjoy your final few days alone with Tony. I did preorder Xtrain and I am TOO excited.

Carolyn The Beast is going good. The only thing I don't like about him is his cardio. But I have Cathe and my other stuff. Enjoy the food store.

ColleenD That is a shame the Dr. made you feel like you were imagining (sp) how you feel. My Dr has never made me feel that way. That will be interesting to see if eating wheat will help you. Keep us abreast. Since you hire people , are you meeting many people who have been layed off for a long period of time? It doesn't seem like unemployment is going anywhere. Everytime my husband complains about his job , I tell him to be happy he has a good one.

Jean

Jean, eating wheat (gluten) is what is giving me part if my digestive issues. But to test if I have the allergy, I have to start eating it again. Ugg. Im not even sure if I want to do it. I was in such agony before. My primary doctor has been great but can't do much more for me so I was sent to a gastrointestinal doctor. I'm really doing this more for my husband because he's the type that needs to know what going on and wants it to be fixed. It would be nice to know if its more intolerance or an allergy. If it Celiac I really need to avoid it as it could cause damage to the stomach. If its a intolerance it's more eat at your own risk.

I see a lot of people going Into to consulting if they'd been laid off. It's strange for what I do people get snatched up really quickly or they are just not in the market.

Ok. I think I just wrote a book.

Thanks you guys! I'm so frustrated right now. Thanks for listening and being there for me.

Missy- Yay! Keep us posted on what you're going to buy. I would be in heaven with that gift certificate.

ColleenD- Sorry to hear about the dr appt. That is so frustrating. Hope you get it all figured out sooner than later.

Carolyn- We might have an in with a family friend. She is a nanny for another family but we are hoping she can fit us into her schedule. She is going to let us know.

Marie---I am so excited I have this gift certificate...but I have all of the DVD's already!!! So looks like I may get a shirt and um????? Not sure? I may get another set of firewalkers to have just in case mine break????:D

Hello!
Carolyn, I just read this sleep article/pictorial. See if it sheds any insight. Best and Worst Foods for Sleep | Yahoo! Health
You are so right about needing your toe to stabilize. After the tons of walking I did in Italy, my right toe started hurting. It took me a while to figure out why. I believe it's from the trail sneakers I've worn countless times, but had never put to such use--I was walking miles and miles of pavement in Italy, not trails. Ever since then, my toe will hurt if I wear flipflops too. It has gone away as long as I don't wear those sneakers.

OMG, today there are more XTrain posts and pics on FB! Haven't looked at them yet!

Missy, how totally exciting to have that $$ to spend! Her new XTrain tee shirt looks really cool. Otherwise, I'd personally wait for new stuff to come out. Or how about equipment? Or downloads?

Jean, best wishes as you head to your sis' and mom's.

ColleenD, that is rough what you're going through! Sending good health vibes your way. Hope it works out for the best.
That doc of yours should be flogged. So disrespectful!

Marie, any day now! That's great news from the doc about working! Congrats.
I did get XTrain and would love for all of us to be doing the official rotation together!:D

I am chilly from this cloudy day and could cocoon in a blanket and take a nap.... Zzzzz

Forgot to say that I did a 35 min brisk walk today. Yay! Up until last year, I used to be very proactive about getting a walk in a couple of times a week, in addition to Cathe. Now I'm so lazy, I hardly bother. (In other words, more time on my butt in front of the computer nowadays!)

Carolyn, this means you'll have to have your wine with lunch, that's all!:D

I too was thinking of the tart cherry juice. It's supposed to be good for many things.

Yum, roasted butternut squash tonight was delish!

Morning Ladies,

Checking in with no workout today. I slept terrible last night and my son woke up with a bloody nose at 3:30. by the time I fell back asleep it was well after 4 and I slept right through the alarm at 5 and didn't budge until 6:30. So I’m feeling a little guilty about now working out.

I roasted butternut squash on Sunday. So good! I have had rutabaga before but only in mashed potatoes. My MIL makes them for that way for the holidays. They are very yummy.

Last night I made sautéed eggplant with onions and roasted red peppers with Balsamic chicken with lemon and garlic. I had no idea how it was going to turn out, but it was so good. The kids didn't try the eggplant, but they loved the chicken. I didn't follow a recipe was just my own concoction. My kids are finally getting to the point that they will eat what I make (especially Courtney), but I always make them something for them as well, b/c you never know...

Yesterday was such a good day to cocoon and lay around. It's supposed to be warmer today and hopefully the rain will clear.

How are you feeling today, Marie???? I can't wait to hear.

Happy Wednesday!!!

Good Morning ladies!!! Happy Wednesday!!!

Can't wait till tomorrow @ 5----I will be off for 3 days! Yeah!!! :)

Carolyn---Last night I did HST and Tim ran on the treadmill! He will not do anything Cathe...he says it is too hard!! hehehe :)

This morning I woke up and jumped into my new shoes and hopped on the treadmill! Just loving them. There are so comfy!!! Can't wait till my 5k this weekend!

I have to invest in some long sleeve shirts and pants for running. It was chilly last night and it is suppose to be chilly all week. I can't go running in shorts and tank when it is in the 50's and 60's. I will freeze!

As for the rutabaga---no help here. Never had them! Let me know....I am always reading about them in the oxygen magazine! Speaking of...looking forward to the bookazine coming out in a few days...Bob's tough love workouts???? Should be interesting!

Okay...gotta get busy! Check back soon!:D

Still trying to figure out what I am going to buy with my gift certificate!!! I already own all of Cathe's DVD except for slow & heavy series...but it is so old...not sure if I even want it!!!

What would you girls buy????

Missy,

I have the slow and heavy series; I got it on deal of the day. I don't reach for it often, but it’s a dozy of a workout. I always get DOMS from it.

Do you need any more risers? A weighted vest?
