Just finished disc 12 of Meso 1 (legs)! Whoo hoo! I finished Meso 1! I'm so impressed that I've been able to stick with STS this far. I usually have a hard time sticking to rotations more than a few days! Normally, even if I try to plan a week's worth of work outs I wind up changing my mind after a few days and doing something else ! Now for my recovery week. I'm really jealous of you guys doing Meso 2. I can't wait! What did you guys do during your recovery week? Can you still do tough workouts, or should I go with more intermediate ones? I was thinking of trying to do some of my tougher circuit workouts (going light on the weights) and maybe one of my cardio focused kettlebell workouts. I definitely know that Burn and Build won't be on that list though!
I hear you guys on the diet portion of the equation. I learned a long time ago to keep my portions under control (except during ttotm...I just have a much tougher time keeping that in mind!). When I was in college I dated this guy and he was a big eater (not overweight, just a bigger guy). For some reason, I thought I could eat the same portions as him when we ate together...if we had a pizza I would eat the same number of slices as he did. Needless to say, that wound up being the heaviest year of my life! Suddenly it dawned on me that I was much smaller than he was and couldn't do that!! DUH! Now my biggest issue is that I love carbs too much. I always think I'd like to try a low carb diet just to see what it does for me but I'm weak. Plus I love my wine, and cheese.
