OMG, peaches and nectarines?! I'm so jealous! And what a day for it! We just ate store peaches this morning.
SO true about this weather feeding your soul. I am ecstatically happy when it's like this
.
Mary, I cannot believe the sudden downpours you experienced! I can just picture it from your vivid descriptions! It was a laugh in retrospect, I hope. We had nary a drop!
Overnight I heard some brief drops hit the windows, but when dh just mowed, the lawn was dry as a desert.
What oldest dd is experiencing is SO normal. It seems more the case for girls, from what I've heard from friends in the past few years. It'll get easier in the next few weeks. It is also normal that her roommate is just that. As long as they get along, it's good. A bad roommate could ruin your whole year. When dd joins clubs and teams, she'll meet people with common interests. My ds and his roommates were simply civil, not friends. For sophomore year one boy convinced him, reluctantly, to become roommates, and now they aren't as friendly as they would have been.
Did the university ask any detailed questions when pairing roommates? I've heard of colleges that do that. Ds' only asked about day/night owls and partying. I think they just want the kids to learn how to deal with all personalities they come across.
You gals are so right about people's impression that home workouts, to dvds, no less, are not effective. Cathe who?? We know better!
I'm going to have to pull out S&G soon too!
