STS first time!

Jean, I bet insurance covers a daily home health aide for your mom.

Henna's on. Time to file. And practice.

Carolyn, sorry about your hip pain Your PT guy will sort you out when he gets back. Hang on. Between him, the strap (are you still wearing it?), the chiropractor, and maybe a massage therapist....
Great for dh! At least he had Labor Day off. I was wondering.
What do you think of Scott Brown, the former senator from MA who couldn't get reelected, moving to NH to run? MA is death to Republicans.
I did a couple of returns as well. Found a gorgeous charcoal wool suit for dh; hope it fits. The past 3 weddings he's worn a black one, which is too funereal. He will wear this in yet another Canada wedding, to which I've opted not to go.
Nice job turning in early! I came up to bed before 10:30, at least. Will read till my eyes feel heavy, which won't take long.
Talk in am.

Good morning! It's supposed to be grossly muggy today! A/C anyone?
I did L&G. I have been feeling old-age pain in my legs, like when I'm coming down the stairs, or when I'm doing endless squats with Cathe. I wonder if it's because I've been lax about taking my Hydraplenish?? Will resume today and test it out.
I like that about Scott Brown too, that he'll vote either side. I've just been hearing the endless political commercials around 6 and thought I'd mention it. He was very liked here but unfortunately for him he was bested by the first woman senator and a Democrat to boot.
Hi Mary and Missy! Where have y'all been? TGIF!
I better go.

Omg, Carolyn, I'm so happy for you!!!:) Hooray! Now we'll get to the bottom of this!
I didn't continue Lipowheat either, after one bottle though.
Still filing. Leftover cheese pizza for dinner.

We'll be there at the MRI with you. Whatever they find, we will get you through it. The pain sounds insane! You're a trooper!
Ahhhh, a soak in Epsom salts sounds great. But I can't imagine filling my tub up:p!

Jean, just watched At Middleton. It was very likeable.

Good morning! Making pancakes right now!
I most definitely do pay for water! And I'm an environmentalist of sorts.:p
I so feel for you on the pain. You've got to hang on. Get through day by day.
I woke up with the PRS1 song in my head. You know what that means. Time to do it next week!;)
Bbl

Ds doesn't care for my pancakes because since I use white whole wheat flour they are pretty flat. Mind you, I used half AP flour today and they were still flat. He is SUCH a white flour person it's not funny:confused:. I should look up buttermilk recipe ones.
What did everyone else in your household have for breakfast?
I only work out M, W, F again. Forget about extra. Who has time? And as you say, how much more time can we devote to working out?? I envy Cathe's flab-less body though. Her vocation helps a ton!
I watched a little of her clip on this week's Total body sculpt. It looked fun. There was a male there, front and center.
Are you sure it's ok to do leg work with your injury and pain?
What does B&G standing entail, while it's fresh in your mind? Lots of barbell squats?? I pulled out a month or two ago but can't recall anything!

Know what I just realized? This September marks my 10 years of working out with Cathe! Whoop whoop!:D

Jean, I want to say that my first ever purchase was the KPC dvd straight from Cathe's site. $45!!! Overpaid!
Does your friend with no cellulite have amazing genes? How does she have none?! Unfair!
Hanging with the girls is the best thing ever! Especially the ones with a personality you click with.:p
Love your socialite life!

Carolyn, mango for breakfast sounds delish!
The exercises sound very similar to XTL, etc.

Just picked up a couple of lobsters to steam for dinner.

Missy, Mary, how are you? Mary, how's dd doing? How are you without her?

Carolyn, I only put in 2-3" of water. I steam rather than boil.
Waiting for the t-storms! It turned so dark an hour ago, but nada. I want some rain!
Yes, she rarely wear glasses, huh? Once I spotted them on her, then I remembered.

Hello....and happy saturday..... I've been so busy.....no time for anything....tomorrow is a complete rest day though....kinda excited for that!!!! Its been so hot here...and then it rains cause it gets so hot.....

Hoping tomorrow will start my rest day and be the start to a calmer schedule....I just want to go back to my workouts, cooking and hubby time....work has just been so busy....when I get home I'm exhausted..... fingers crossed!!!

Off to shower....hope to catch up tomorrow!!!! Good night fit friends!

Hey all-

I did Slide-n-Glide today. It was harder than I remember and I liked it lol. Yesterday was.....oh my I can't even remember, how bad is that. I'm so tired! I worked yesterday eve and am working again today until 11:30. I'm on mom baby so that makes me happy.

Hmmm what else?! Not too much. Wow I'm boring.

Oh shoot...I can't believe I almost forgot. So one of the nurses and I were talking about working out and she said her favorite instructor is Cathe. No kidding! I was soooo excited as you could imagine. I feel like no one has heard of her which is a shame since she obviously rocks! She said she doesn't have much of her real new stuff but that shes loves step. I knew this nurse was cool but now I like her even more :)

Hello! I did not mean to be absent for so long, just very busy.

Yesterday was so hot, and we had friends over in the afternoon for a cookout. Then all of a sudden it got dark and the skies opened and everything was drenched, we didn't even have time to get everything inside. And the rain came in the windows and drenched everything before we could close them. DDs had gone to a friend's down the road and were walking home, a family going by picked them up and drove them home. Normally of course no one would go with strangers but in this case it was better.

Oldest dd is doing better as the week goes on. I decided I would give her a few days before calling, but would call on Tues. Well she ended up calling me on Tues. at work, and she sounded really homesick. I talked her through it and told her everyone is going through this and it is normal. She and her roommate get along but don't have anything in common so they are not doing anything together, and that makes it harder. Anyways, I talked to her again on Friday and she was doing much better. She is going to try out for a club volleyball team, hope she makes it, she said it is very competitive. And I do miss her, the house just isn't the same without her!

My workouts seem all over the place, and yesterday I didn't feel like working out at all. Not sure I feel like it today either.

Carolyn how are the kids doing in school? I hope you can get the kind of mri you need. When I went to the ortho for my hamstring/glute, he ordered an mri but it was for my spine. Big surprise it didn't show anything, then he wanted me to get another one for my pelvis. I gave up and did not go back.

Betty I think my first Cathe was KPC too, I still love that one.

Jean is everyone in your community retired? I know you have mentioned some older people but 52 sounds very young. You are all lucky to have found such a great place to live.

Betty I can read that through fb. Sounds like we will find out more in the newsletter this week.

Marie, how great that you found someone who works out to Cathe. I have mentioned Cathe to other people, and no one has ever heard of her. People also seem to think you can't get a good workout at home, which is silly as we all know!

OMG, peaches and nectarines?! I'm so jealous! And what a day for it! We just ate store peaches this morning.
SO true about this weather feeding your soul. I am ecstatically happy when it's like this:p.

Mary, I cannot believe the sudden downpours you experienced! I can just picture it from your vivid descriptions! It was a laugh in retrospect, I hope. We had nary a drop! Overnight I heard some brief drops hit the windows, but when dh just mowed, the lawn was dry as a desert.
What oldest dd is experiencing is SO normal. It seems more the case for girls, from what I've heard from friends in the past few years. It'll get easier in the next few weeks. It is also normal that her roommate is just that. As long as they get along, it's good. A bad roommate could ruin your whole year. When dd joins clubs and teams, she'll meet people with common interests. My ds and his roommates were simply civil, not friends. For sophomore year one boy convinced him, reluctantly, to become roommates, and now they aren't as friendly as they would have been.
Did the university ask any detailed questions when pairing roommates? I've heard of colleges that do that. Ds' only asked about day/night owls and partying. I think they just want the kids to learn how to deal with all personalities they come across.

You gals are so right about people's impression that home workouts, to dvds, no less, are not effective. Cathe who?? We know better!:p:cool:
I'm going to have to pull out S&G soon too!

Good evening.....its raining here.....I slept in till 9:30 this morning, cause I was up several hours in the night....Mr Boots was not feeling well....so he needed his mommy....then I got up and Tim and I went for a motorcycle ride....we went to Monticello fl.... and small town just south of the fl/ga state line...got a newspaper and came home.... we got back about 12:45.... and I've been resting since.....

Carolyn....nope...no Cathe workouts last week.....and I miss it.... tomorrow I'm gonna try something new..... a Cathe workout at 6 am,.... we shall see how it goes.....he he he

Be back.....gotta finish dinner......
