STS first time!

Hi girls,

I did AB very late today (my mom dropped by earlier than I expected) and struggled through it! Ugh, I was dying. And cursing all the floorwork! Mtn climbers, spidermans, dragging planks, burpees, etc. I hate them!!!

Colleen, June 7th is incredible! Do you start school in mid-August?? We're going to school until June 26th or so! Six, count them, six, snow days!

You poor gals who can't sleep! I hit my pillow and am out within a minute. Carolyn, soon you'll be on vacation. Your mind is running a mile a minute thinking of your trip. What time is your flight? Have a fabulous, fabulous time! So glad for you! Safe travels! And don't worry about the eating and exercising! You do that all year, so just let it go during vacation!

Missy, good for you for the 5Ks! You should be proud! We are proud of you too!

Marie, call me paranoid but I would never leave my baby with strangers in a strange country! Being with your sister and niece sounds like an unparalleled substitution.
Your new avatar is so cute. B just looks so well-loved and happy!

Jean, hope you're taking some well-needed rest breaks.

Mary, I'm sure you're having a blast! Awesome!

Sunny and gorgeous today!

Hi Everyone. Nothing new here. Just working on the house. It seems like when I go to do one thing , I find something else that needs done.
We are going to Delaware tomorrow to do our electrical walkthru. I think that is when they tell you where stuff will be and if you want any extra outlets. I am very excited to see the progress.

Carolyn have a fun , safe trip. I wish I was going with you.

Not much to say. I think I am going to take a bath and hit the sack early.

Jean

Betty, we start school the week of Labor Day. Which is a week earlier than I'd like, but we get off the Friday of Labor Day, so it works out fine. We only had two make up day. They made them up already. One was the Friday before Presidents' Day and the other was the Friday before Martin Luther king day.

Jean, Enjoy going to see the house tomorrow. A nice bath sounds good.

Missy, so proud of you for signing up for the 5ks!

Carolyn, I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Back to my rotation. I did LIS and Shoulders, Calves and Core. OMG that calf section is insane. I forgot about that. So tough. I couldn't even finish it. I ended up doing some plank work while Cathe and crew continued to burn their calves. I have big calves but they are apparently not strong. I kept cramping up. Good workout nonetheless. I do love 4DS.

My baby is 6 months today. How time flies. I made some sweet potatoes for him. We are going to start them tomorrow. Tony is off and he wanted to be part of the fun of giving him his first solids. Can't wait :) I also made some sweet potato chips but sort of forgot about them and they got burnt. Oops!

Tomorrow is a busy day so not sure I'll be checking in. The plan is 4DS Bootcamp. Then the dentist for cleaning and some fillings. Ugh! I brush and floss everyday. Why do I have cavities?! Then we are going to our nieces' play. The Little Mermaid! Fun day :)

Carolyn- Have a blast on your trip :)

Missy- Nice job on the cardio. I as well was trying to be good today. So far so good :) How fun that you signed up for another 5k. They are always a good time. I used to do lots of races a few years back.

Colleen- Nice job on BB today. I'm stealing your quinoa idea for my salads at work this weekend. Thinking romaine, quinoa, tomato, cucumber, feta and balsamic :)

Betty- WTG on AB! Ugh... Hate dragging planks. They never seem to get easier. Glad you agree about not leaving our babies with a stranger. No way! No how! Couldn't even imagine!

Jean- Good luck with the walkthru.

Obsessed mama just bragging about my boy :)

Hello....Last night was busy....I came home from work....did hardstrikes 1-3 heavy bag, ab circuits abs, and 40 minutes on treadmill....I was drenched...it felt so good. I showered and then got dressed to leave. Tim sold one of his trucks to a local farmer...so we had to deliver it to them. We did not get home till 9 pm, because we ate out due to timing. So, I came home and hit the bed...I was exhausted....I think I may have had a stomach bug yesterday...I felt yucky....(TMI) but I had many bathroom visits yesterday....and to top that off I was on my period. Oh well, today I feel much better. I had to take one of my outside cats to vet today to get spayed. She is very sweet but I dont need any more cats....I cryed my eyes out when I dropped her off. I pick her up at 4 today. This was hit us at $275.00 ....crazy that is why there is such a overpopulation on cats! We still have one more to go....which is sched next week...this is crazy!

Marie---B is too cute! He is getting so big!

Carolyn---Have fun in florida!!! Lots of sunshine!!! Soak up that vitamin D!!!

I have a phone conference today from 1:30-3:00....its all about transitioning to ICD-10....it is going to be a nightmare...if I wasnt already doing billing, I would run for my life....it is going to be a scarey mess....lets just say all of us billers/coders out there are going to be the highest paid billing staff who knows nothing! We can just throw out all of our years experience....its absolute b/s! I have been billing since 2001....June will be 12 years....and I am just suppose to forget all this knowlege and start over! Its crazy...why change something that works? Oh....I forgot we are talking about the government!:mad:

Jean---Have fun visiting your dream home!

Betty---I am like you...my head hits the pillow and I am out...I cant even lay in bed and watch tv...because I fall out immediately! When I read I have to sit up...cant lay down....hehehehe

Okay...my vet just called me and said my little girl made it thru surgery and is doing okay....:D

Gotta run...be back!

Hello girls!!

Boy I am super tired today. I think it is the dreary weather. I did get in a good workout though. I did 30 minutes on the bellicon and then did 20 minutes on the spin bike.

Carolyn, I hope you have a great time. So excited for you. Sorry about DH. They can be that way at time. Frustrating, but I'm sure he appreciates all you do to make it happen. It's probably just his nerves talking???

Missy, glad you girl is well. Good job for getting a great workout in last night.

Hi Betty, Jean, Marie and Mary.

I'm here. Just had nothing to post. I did a 30-min 5-mi ride this evening. Pretty slow.

How is everyone?

Carolyn, hope you're sleeping like a log after a great flight and wonderful day in the FL sunshine!
Some DHs don't appreciate, and certainly don't ever say, I appreciate you! You are awesome to pull this trip together! We moms know what it took!

Marie, B has gorgeous eyes and lashes!

Jean, do update us on your latest DE visit.

Colleen, we'll get that weather soon, I think. Today (half the day) was gorgeous. Remember to rest!

Missy, your docs and patients appreciate all you do! High five!

Good night!

Hi Friends!! Happy Friday.

Carolyn, so glad you made it. Enjoy your time. When do you come home?

Today I over slept ( do you see a trend here). I did manage to get in a 30 minute workout. I did 3 UB BB segments. I need to do 2 more tonight and next week I will be on a recovery week. Yeah! Looking forward I some yoga and less strenuous workouts. My body is ready for the rest.

Betty, was school off the whole week? Have you done anything fun with DS?

Jean, how was the trip to Delaware?

Betty I see there is lots of intense stuff going on in Watertown. Are you anywhere near there? Stay safe my friend.

Carolyn Glad to hear you made it safe to Florida. I hope you have perfect weather and have a wonderful time.

The trip to Delaware was great. The electrician showed us where all of the electrical was going and we told him where we wanted additional stuff. We have 3 sets of french doors and decided we wanted the light switch on the outside of the room to turn on as you walk in. We showed where we wanted the flood lights and t.v. wiring. Just stuff like that. The house is all closed in . The windows and doors are in. The shared bath bathtub is in. The plumbing is in. The next step is the inspections. Then I believe the electrician will run his wiring. New houses have so many outlets to plug stuff in. This house has one on each wall. I took 91 pictures and my husband did 10 minutes of video. I kind of overdo it with the camera. The we went to the Seashell Shop but didn't buy anything. Their stuff was a tad expensive. Then we went to Grotto Pizza which is very popular there. It was good but not the best I have had. Then we put some stuff in storage and then came home. We will probably go back in around 3 weeks. I am anxious to see after the siding gets on. We chose Seafoam green.
Today I am stripping paint off the hardwood floor in the smallest bedroom. I think I am almost done. That room is my present project.

Missy I am glad you are getting those cats altered. I love to hear when people are doing their part to control the stray cat population. I read that kittens can get pregnant as young as 16 weeks or maybe it was younger than that. I saw a cat at our new house yesterday. I hope i don't see it again. I don't need to get involved with stray cats. I have enough living in my house. I have come to the conclusion that indoor cats are more destructive than dogs. I do love them though.

Marie I love the pics of B. He is just so cute. Keep them coming. I never get tired of pictures.

O.K. Back to the floors.

Jean

Quick check-in.

BBL for personals.

Yesterday went as planned with 4DS Bootcamp.

It was an early morning today and I was tired...B got up at 1 and 4. I stayed up at 4 and did UY Crosstrain. Felt so nice although I could tell I was tired. My balance was off.

At work now. Can't wait to get home with my boys :)

Lots of snow out there. So over this weather. Why do I live in MN again?! ;)

So surreal! I am in the affected area, and we are in lockdown mode. Public transportation, many colleges, businesses, all closed. So unbelievable!

Good afternoon.....

My baby girl is feeling good today....she rested last night...but this morning she was walking around. :)

ForumRunner_20130419_130551.jpg

She is precious....everytime she sees me she starts meowing and purring!!! I just love my babies!!!

Jean...the overpopulation is aweful...but its because people cant afford it....$275 a cat.....what??? It use to be around $100.... my other baby "Sally" is going next friday....then all my kidos will be good to go! I am grateful i can afford medical care so they stay healthy....but some people cant and some are irresponsible and just dont! So glad your house is coming along quickly!!! I bet it is so exciting....i am the same with the camera!!!

Betty...so glad you are safe!!!

Marie....you and tony are blessed to have a healthy little boy....he is so adorable! Hugs!

Hello mary and colleen!!

Bbl!

Hi everyone,

We're all right here. Staying put, but the lockdown has been lifted just a short while ago. The suspect is still at large though.

I have been achy all week, my muscles feeling tight and sore, and my mind so not into exercise. Nonetheless I started SuperCuts this morning, got past the warmup, and started the routine. Then I just couldn't go through with it! I abruptly stopped and decided to do Travis' Foundations 2. I feel better, but I could use an ongoing yoga routine. Foundations is slow to me. Impatient cardio girl who doesn't feel worked out if not jumping around. But anyway, hopefully Travis will turn that around. IF I ever get UY at rock-bottom.

Colleen, we didn't do anything exciting this week. DS was good about getting up by 10 and eating/reading/practicing/chores before starting his computer game. I have not experienced this! Normally, all I do is nag. Nag to wake up. Nag to eat. Nag to drink. Nag to read. You get the drift.

Marie, why do you live in MN??? We had spring weather all week. 60ish. So awesome. But we need rain.

Carolyn, love your update! How incredibly awesome that your sis and b-i-l visited at the airport!!!
DS2 turned slightly orange from all the carrots I fed him.

Jean, will you need central vac, do you listen to music so you might turn on the radio in one room and have it play in another through ceiling speakers, do you need intercoms between rooms, radiant heating, gas fireplace(s).... Those are dream options for me. I would love a modern Arts & Crafts home, I think. Anything with a modern kitchen and attached family room, and a mudroom!

Missy, awesome that Boots is doing well. All your love is not lost on her.:D

I just saw that suspect 2 is hiding in a boat in someones yard. I bet he ends up dead. Either suicide or doing something to make the cops kill him. But hopefully they get him without anymore innocents getting hurt. It sounds like he may be injured from the shootout last night.

Carolyn Be extra careful of that Florida sun. It is alot stronger there.

Betty I am not getting any of those things. No central vac, no gas fireplace,no sound system thruout the house, no radiant heat. We are just blue collar workers. My husband wanted a gas fireplace but I talked him out of it. I really don't like them. Plus when you put the t.v. over the fireplace , it is too high up the wall to comfortably watch. My kitchen looks into the family room . I think what we are getting is very nice. The only thing I wanted that I did not get was one of those luxury stand alone bath tubs. I hope you feel better soon.

Jean

We are glued to the tv, unable to watch other programs in case the scene gets resolved and we miss it! Ridiculous!
The suspect is indeed believed to be cornered in a covered boat. No sooner was the lockdown mode lifted before it immediately shifted to this current scenario!

Even among our three ABC/CBS/NBC affiliates you hear conflicting or absent info! It depends where they situate themselves and what they can or can't see!
It may be over!

Jean, radiant heat is supposedly better than baseboard and ducts. I would never have thought I'd advocate for it since I have 50-yr old radiant heat and it stinks. But from watching This Old House, it sounds amazing! Toasty toes!

I too was glued to the tv.... then we ran to office depot....and we didnt want to leave in case something happened....so we listened on the radio all the way to and from town....hehehe...Tim just bought me a tablet for my exercise room...so i can stream workouts from youtube and such.....super excited!!!

Carolyn...be extra careful....florida sun is violent!!!

Good night my friends!!!! Gotta get up early tomorrow....got a 5k to do....will chat afterwards!

Goo morning girls.

DH and I were glued to the TV as well. So glad he is found.

Carolyn, too funny with your burn. Florida sun is so much stronger. We had a thunderstorm last night too.

I was so tired last night. I was dozing off and on the couch last night. But I got such a good night sleep. Just got up and snuck downstairs. No workout yet. I'm in the mood to spin. Then DH is going to take the kids to swimming lessons and I need I get the kids some summer clothes. Yesterday after work we went through all their clothes from last year. Not much fits them!

I'm going to go make some coffee.

Missy good luck on the 5k today.

Nothing fancy here. No radiant heat. No speaker system. We do have central air/heating.

Bbl.
