Good for you, Jane! I've been slacking on cardio too this last week...I'm just not feeling it for some reason. I couldn't imagine doing tuck and box jumps right now!!!Did Plyo Legs Disk 26 today. Haven't done much cardio at all lately, so I knew I was in trouble after the first cardio segment - box jumps. I only had 2 risers under the step while Cathe and crew had 4! And after huffing and puffing through more box jumps than I could count, Cathe says "We started off easy"!!! But felt soooo good to accomplish tuck jumps and air jacks 40 minutes in. This workout is a lunge lovers dream - lunge after lunge in this workout with every variation possible. Great for building balance and core stability. So many benefits come to those who sweat!
Completed 3rd week of Squat Rack Legs! Tomorrow I will complete Disc 33, I believe (shoulders/arms). I think I will repeat the 3rd week (reps x6) next week bc I want to get stronger before progressing to week 4 which is the 8 rep range again. Pretty sure I've gotten stronger so I'm excited!
Hope everyone is doing well! I can't believe I am almost done with another round of STS!
Penny, good for you for being so near the end and building your strength! Great idea to repeat week 3. I may do that as well.
How is the squat rack work going? I found in the past I couldn't safely get more than 45 lbs over my head to place on my shoulders, so I used a weighted vest to supplement the barbell. Now I own the Fit Tower so I am thinking I could squat under it and place the barbell on my shoulders. What do you do?
Hey all! So I completed my first workout of the last week of STS! Wow! Chest and Back today...Disc thirty something or other, lol, I forget! This time I added on a Calorie Crush, abs, and Extended stretch. I’ve been dreading cardio lately, so the Calorie Crush was perfect! Tomorrow we go to my daughter’s first high school track meet so there may be tears...who knows? Haha! I’m hoping to do Legs Thursday and finish up STS with Shoulders and arms Saturday! Can’t believe it!
So I am thinking of doing the Xtrain 90 day rotation for summer! Has anyone done it? I’m really looking forward to more varied workouts!
Keep up the good fight everyone! My spring break starts next week! Whoo! Hoo!
I think if I had to choose, I would say that Meso 2 is my fav. But the measurable results are so rewarding with Meso 3 that it is a close 2nd. Without a spotter it is hard for me to really max out with Meso 3 as I want to be cautious and injury free. But still it makes you feel strong and the long rest times and low reps take the dread factor out of the equation.I really loved Meso 2 . The different types of training techniques- double wave load, back off sets, tri-sets, and drop sets. I'm really looking forward to Meso 3
Awesome Penny! Did you make the gains you were hoping for? How does it feel now that you have completed this tough and demanding program?? Hope you have a great sense of accomplishment and empowerment.Squat Rack Legs week 4 complete!
Arms and shoulders tomorrow and I'm done!
Jane you are doing both Squat Rack Legs AND Plyo Legs!?!! You are amazing! I must say though, the combo would really get your legs in great shape! Rock on!Loving squat rack legs AND plyo legs so much that I am doing both! So it is taking me a little longer to get through all the workouts.

Jane, sorry to hear of your brother-in-law. Good for you to see positive lessons in such a sad time.Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Sadly, my 66 year old brother-in-law and neighbor for 27 years, died suddenly last week. He was relatively healthy but got cancer that aggressively zoomed through his body. He had been misdiagnosed until 3 days before his death, so we are just catching our breath now. So many positive lessons have come from it - importance of connection, forgiveness, openness and appreciating the health we have. And definitely saw the positive benefits from getting essential sleep! Without that, hard to handle anything life throws at us.
So, other than teaching 3 fitness classes per week (so glad I did fit in SOME workouts - you really need them at stressful times!) I haven't done much other than the odd walk and biking to do my errands (not always easy here in Canada with temps around the freezing point!).
Two days ago I started eating more mindfully and am feeling better already. Had just been popping anything around into my mouth! Ended up feeling low, bloated and gaining way too much weight. Today, finally, I am excited to start Meso 3. Thanks for blazing the trail Penny! And thanks to many of you who are so dedicated that you are adding on extended stretch segments AND ab segments. Whoa! You guys are great role models. And thanks to everyone for showing me workouts/life doesn't have to be perfect to be really beneficial, fun and effective.
